jamp:pls jump, can you give me a glucose and vitamin name that is good for you. have you also used viramix? if so, is it OK |
| Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by Nobody: 11:05am On Feb 02, 2015 |
endy247:Best time to deworm birds is at 8weeks and 10weeks. Best time to de-beak is between 6-10weeks. Administer multivitamins 2days before and 2days after de-beaking. |
| Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by Nobody: 11:12am On Feb 02, 2015 |
Globaby01:Bro, just visit any vet shop and tell them to give you glucose. Vitamix is good. Its advisable to give them a drug that contains mild antibiotic too. A drug called "keproceryl" will do. |

my 50+1 broiler doc arrived yesterday evening from obasanjo farm but baba said that I should give them io vaccine. the io vaccine that I bought has congeal, has it spoilt or its fridge that made it so? although I have given them glucose and vitamin yesterday. how do I make the vaccine melt so I can use it? |
| Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by Eggcelent(m): 2:03pm On Feb 03, 2015 |
Globaby01. If I understand what you mean by "congeal", then it means the vaccine is still potent/good. Keep it in the refrigerator & leave it "congealed" till you are ready to use. (Meanwhile, the aspect of "Baba told me" is quite funny. Are you saying OBJ himself personally attended to you? Or the "Baba" here is an entirely different person?) |
| Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by fnk: 5:20pm On Feb 03, 2015 |
Eggcelent:doesn't the io supposed to be administered the very day she brought them in? That is how I do mine ooo, you put it in their eyes. The glucose it so help the birds cope with the stress of moving them from OBJ farm to your farm. |
| Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by Globaby01: 5:53pm On Feb 03, 2015 |
Eggcelent:not OBJ, but there is a baba that normally sell it to customers |

Hello good people, Someone should help clarify whether 'extra' pieces are also added when you buy POL from breeder farms. Placed an order for 3,000 units and want to be fully prepared for the exact quantity I would be receiving. Cheers |

jamp:You'll have to be vigilant with this type. It gets clogged after a while and you have to unscrew it to clear the clog. Cheers |
| Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by laposta: 10:09am On Feb 05, 2015 |
Globaby01:Please can you send me the Baba's contact at Obasanjo Farms? You can drop it here or mail it to femmiedot@yahoo.com Between, how much did you buy your DOC? I'm guessing they are Layers abi? How long did it take you to process the purchase i.e. from booking to pick up? |

I have lost 4 birds since Tuesday till today, I don't know why. all I can understand is that one was wet before I went to work and I don't know how, so I thought the lamp will warm it but it died and this evening I met 2 fresh dead and one soaked with water, making it 4 altogether. I gave them initially glucose and stress-vit and that's all. at first they all were not eating but they are gradually picking up. what have I missed and still missing . please help urgently, friends in the house |
