Peoples Democratic Party has said that the party will record outstanding victory in the six geo-political zones in the country especially in the south-west.

National Deputy Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus while speaking with newsmen in Abuja said “the president is not going to lose the election. I am telling you emphatically that we will win this election convincingly in the six geopolitical zones. Even in the South-West, we will shock them,

“We will do far better than we did in 2011 in the entire North generally, despite the security challenges we are facing over there.

“There is no shaking In the North-West, especially Kano, where we lost the governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to the APC, but we gained the incumbent education minister, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau and he is going to make the difference.”

He added that All Progressives Congress will be grossly disappointed by the results of the polls in the south west because in the last two weeks, President Goodluck Jonathan has commissioned two projects in the south west.

Jonathan knows that people of the South West don't want him. That is primarily why he has been visiting traditional rulers in the region to plead with them. One thing he doesn't know is that no oba can coerce anybody. He should go read the pre-colonial political system of the Yoruba people, an oba, though regarded as "ikeji orisa", can be challenged.
For you to know how Jonathan stands in the South West, just go listen to argument in newspaper vendors' stands in the region.

I hope your "wonder". If it is, it will be resisted. This is South West, not South East or South South. Go read how political crises in the South West lead to major changes in the country. Read how the Western Region election of 1965 led to the January 15 coup; how the mutiny in Abeokuta led to the July 29 coup.

Mr Nat. Deputy Chairman, you'll be shocked to discover that Mr Shekarau will actually vote for GMB. I don't know how anyone would win any election in a place like Kano if you campaign against GMB. He enjoys cult followership in this region and I don't even see GEJ polling up to 20% there. GMB had to endorse Kwankwaso publicly for the latter to win the last election. GEJ will lose more than 40% of the little votes he got in the North in 2011, this year.
As for commissioning Naval Warships and the Power Plant in the South West, the man failed to tell us how the Warships will be useful in putting foods on our tables or prevent kidnapping and armedrobbery. He has also failed in telling us how a 750MW plant-which has always been in use before now- will give us 24hours power supply.
I can only just beg them to let us have the polls and put these claims to test.
