mamacajah:

In the last thread, the use of arik was discussed and most preggy mums discarded it becos of their policy. Arik does not fly any pregnant woman over 28weeks. You end up being stressed and buying another ticket. Their website information is not accepted for international flights but I think someone wrote here of using the policy to fly their plane locally while pregnant. This seems to me that the 34weeks is valid only for local flights but for international definitely 28weeks max. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your responses @mamacajah and @mimibe. Is there any other airline that flies directly to NY?

Congrats to mums & new born babies in house. Pls l have few questions to ask.
1) Which type of Identification card ll they accept from my husband when submitting Consent letter. Must it be international passport or can Driving Licence or Office ID be accepted here.
2) Must d Zero balance letter come from both d Hospital and Doctor respectively. Or can hospital zero balance letter cover everything. Do they have to state d total amount u paid in d letter.

1) Your husband's international passport I don't know if drivers license or office ID will be accepted.
2) I used Providence hospital in Washington DC and everything was tied to one account, Ante-natal - delivery - nursery etc. after delivery they gave me my bill and a letter that I was not owing the hospital. The only thing I paid separately for was the pediatricians visit.

I guess some other person might be able to help you with the second question, if I where you I will request for letters from all parties involved.

If your trip via London requires overnight stay, you will go through normal immigration like people who are heading into London on holiday. Your visa will be stamped as used but they usually write something like "transit" as well.

As for hotel, you will need to book yourself but there are very many close to d airport with a cleap shuttle called the Hoppa which goes to hotels from the airport.

For your mum, unfortunately she may not be able to leave the airport from what I know...if she doesnt have a visa. I just checked and she may be able to pass through but please confirm to avoid any issues:
https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa/y/nigeria/transit/yes

Alternatively you can all fly through the UK without overnight stay. Just direct transit but no UK immigration stamp on your visa.

dittobaby:

Thanks a lot for your story. Please I need more clarification on your sleep over in London. First, were you escorted to the UK immigration by any airline official? Then, were you lodged by the airline in a designated hotel or you went inside London to do that yourself? I am asking these questions because l and my son have UK visas that we haven't used and we would having a stop over in London because of it. The visas are expiring very close to that time. My problem is that my mum who is also going with me to the US doesn't have a UK visa. If I use an airline like Virgin that would enable us transit a and spend the night, would my visa be stamped to show that it has been used and also my mum be able to follow me inside London?

Responses need from anyone will also be appreciated.

Good morning everyone,

Please can anyone confirm if it is true that Delta has changed their policy on the number of weeks a pregnant flyer should be from 36weeks to 30weeks. My doc just told me but I find it hard to believe. Anyone with accurate info should let me know please.

Thanks.

Hello Raydd, am a May/June Mum and i will use MIHS(Phoenix) because i wish to have a VBAC and Elpaso doesnt offer VBAC. I plan to arrive first week of May but am yet to make up my mind about accommodation cos I need to stay were I can talk to fellow Nigerian Peggy Mums before boredom will kill me. You can call MIHS to book appointment with them if u wish to use their services.

Hello Everybody,
Thanks for providing all the information on this site.

I have shortlisted three locations 1) El Paso (Doctorspareti) 2)Houston (Oakbend & Dr Fa) 3) Phoenix (MIHS)

Can anyone share their recent experience with Doctorspareti?

Any would be moms in May/June? I plan to arrive in US little early and I can catch up anybody planning to visit in May, June.

It seems Doctorsparaeti have been over used and their quality of service has degraded over last few months.Any comments welcome.[/quote]

Like you suggested I wish to correct you cos u are wrong. It was a good decision to show all she had. when they see the level of preparedness they know someone has done their research. wonder why over sabi came to ur mind.n u even went ahead n typed it. some r timid (U)some r confident she showed she went prepared and left no room for being sent home. when it get to ur turn Hide all till u asked but dont use such words as Over sabi.

Hiya,
If you look through my profile, you'll see a post on DMV hospital choices. I also included prices and OBGYN info including mine.

If you want the lowest price, Prince George's Hospital Center seems to be the cheapest package. A few mums here have used them. Please bear in mind this is a county hospital so they are professional but may not be the most luxurious.

@aye88 suggested Inova Alexandria and they offer a good discount.

Someone else recently mentioned Providence Hospital in DC.

All the best.

Hi, new poster here

I just wanted to ask you if you were using a hospital in MD and which you decided on

Thanks!

Please help answer this question in details. My cousin needs guidance on this.

What exactly do you need to take back to the embassy if the VO has held on to your passports and requested that you return with a birth plan. Is it just the travel budget sheet.

If anyone has encountered this issue, please assist
