Anyway why did Buhari detain 250 innocent people in the first place?
His reign in power was all about trial and error and it will be the same if he is allowed to rule again.

Why Must It Be Buhari?
- He has a proven record of good leadership.
- He has the character and political will to effect the needed Change.
- As Buhari has proven over time and again, he is not greedy and corrupt. His quest is to do what is right and not amass wealth for himself. Also he do not allow others to loot.
- For Buhari, the Rule of Law is sacrosanct. No sentiments or personal favours. Everyone plays according to the same law of the land.
- While Buhari can seek counsel, he does not take orders from anyone.
- A Buhari's Presidency is a Mass movement far beyond Buhari as a person. In fact there are many who will vote Buhari even if he say don't.
- Buhari has a good record of getting the best out of his subordinates as long as they play by the rule and work hard towards the set objectives. See Idiagbon and his directors at PDTF. Dora Akunyili was one of them.

Jonathan's corrupt administration is unsustainable. Nigerians need Change and Buhari is the man.

Sai Buhari.

Excerpts from a well researched article..

...For the Career Buharists, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) is the “messiah”. Any attempt to set the records straight by highlighting the dark days of Buhari is viewed by these people as being paranoid. They would ask you, who is scared of Buhari if not corrupt people? In the real sense of it, I don’t think anyone (including a kid from my home town) is scared of Buhari. Some of us that talk about him do so to establish the facts because he has been living on image-laundered life. Within these few days, lots of people have seen that Buhari didn’t build any refinery for Nigeria. He has no legacy despite ruling the country with iron-fist for almost 2 years. He is indeed corrupt as shown by this article and again, no Igbo have worked or working for Buhari, neither did any Igbo marry his daughter. These are the laundered image he has been living on for a long time now.
Facts are sacred, but not to the Career Buharists. To them, Buhari is God’s ‘gift’ to mankind and the most popular politician that can solve our numerous problems in a jiffy. Behind these accolades from his admires, is a man that has lost presidential elections three times consecutively. In 2003, over 24 million Nigerian rejected him. The same number rejected him in 2007 and in 2011; about 22 million rejected him. The excuse has been that, he was rigged out, but facts and figures proved that he is definitely unelectable.

He Is A Hypocrite And Sanctimonious:
Buhari is a self-acclaimed anti-corruption Czar, yet he served under late Sani Abacha without complaining of corruption. In the same period Buhari served as PTF Chairman under Abacha, Nigeria was named the 2nd most corrupt country in the world in 1996 by Transparency International; the most corrupt country in 1997 and 3rdmost country in 1998. Buhari didn’t resign or protest. He dismissed the TI Report with a wave of the hand. Can he do the same if such report says Nigeria is the most corrupt country in 2014? I know that Buhari would protest and call President Jonathan names.

Buhari as a man of integrity as he claims should have done what Tai Solarin, Duro Onabule and Ebitu Ukiwe did under IBB’s regime. IBB’s attempt to take Nigeria into the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) made his Chief of General Staff, Ebitu Ukiwe to resign. Ukiwe maintained that Nigeria, as a country, should not be a member of a religious organisation. Individual organisation can take up membership of religious organisations, but not the country. IBB made Tai Solarin the chairman of Peoples Bank with no fund and power to run it; he resigned and tendered his apology to Nigerians.

Buhari has not apologized to Nigerians for working for the most corrupt govt in the world then, but he still maintains that Abacha didn’t loot Nigeria dry even as Abacah loots are still being sent back to Nigeria.

When he took over power by the gun, he supported rigging because it favoured him. But now, he is shouting of rigging. Hear him:

“The last general election was anything but free and fair. The only political parties that could complain of election rigging are those parties that lacked the resources to rig.” - M. Buhar (First Speech after Military Coup, 31 December, 1983.

very malicious post with deception clearly intended. Buhari does not claim to be a saint, he just has no tolerance on corruption. Every past military government was brutal, i remember the administration of Olusegun Obasanjo that set up detention and death camps; a desert where you were thrown in to die of starvation. Yet, as president, people were hopeful he would salvage Nigeria. He didnt quite do that, but he separated the military from civilian politics and introduced federal character in their recruitment.

Coming back to topic, recently in the Uk (Chatham house), buhari said "I take responsibility for all that happened under my watch". The problem with people like you is that you forget that Nigerians who are privileged to use the internet have as much access to information as you do, so next time when you want to tell people that buhari didnt apologize, tell that to people with no access. By the way, Buhari did not execute innocent people, he certainly should have been more tolerant with some of them with peculiar cases, like the case of a nursing woman, but thats one thing about justice, if applied, it is blind to the plight of the offender. Sometime last year in the United States, a perceived innocent man was to be put to death, former witnesses had retracted their stories, claiming they were coerced and under pressure at first instance of identifying the accused, but it still remained that there were more witnesses who stood by their stories, and could not be discredited, the protests and effort of media houses including CNN didnt stay the execution, he was killed, and that is the bitter part of justice.

For those who were sentenced to death, were they innocent? Their families should go to court and be vindicated with compensation and apology. wont certainly bring back the dead, but thats the only thing you can do when the deed is done, so that the life of someone isnt wasted in vain again.

Enough of this lecture. If you wanna campaign against buhari, use something like age, not that rubbish the government was playing on tele to unsuspecting and gulluble nigerians. My decision of who to vote for remains with me, but i will speak my mind against any group who tries to bend the truth to favour themselves.

When the election is over, we who supported and worked for these people will once again become the opposition, so i will not sell my vote at a cheap cost to anyone. I will vote to the person whom i believe will better the country that i live in.

Unless you choose to be disingenuous, you must recall the famous words of Buhari on Abacha....The late military Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, did not loot the national treasury contrary to the general impression, two military former heads of state have said.

Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, who ruled Nigeria between 1983 and 1985, and his successor, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, gave Abacha the clean bill in Kano yesterday after the rememberance prayers marking 10 years of the death of Abacha, who ruled between 1993 and 1998...

Since then...Channels Island to return £315m Abacha loot

DECEMBER 1, 2014 BY NAN
States of Jersey in the Channels Island will return to Nigeria £315m, seized from the late Sani Abacha, says Michael Birt, the island’s civic head.

'Abacha loot': Nigeria to get $227m from Liechtenstein

“FG uncovers fresh N3.2trillion Abacha loot”, reporting that the billions of dollars stashed away in foreign bank accounts by the late military dictator, Gen. Sani Abacha, may far exceed the already established US$ 5 billion, as a Special Investigation Panel (SIP), tracing what has now become ‘Abacha loot’, stumbled on fresh clues indicating that the stolen funds still trapped in offshore accounts stand at over 3.2 trillion Naira.

On pa Buhari himself,do you recall the all to familiar story of the 52 suitcases? What about the missing NNPC 2.8 billion Naira?

So much for your 'man of integrity'.

[/s]

Buhari called for concrete evidence from the Government and not the eye service. Instead of Prosecuting the Abachas, Jonathan gave them Award, withdraw the case against them and was pushing Abacha son as Governor. Now who supports the Abacha more?

BTW, Jonathan is far more Corrupt than Gen. Abacha - FACT.

Mr know-it-all, sharia has nothing to do with christians, however, muslims want it implemented across to other muslims living in other parts of the country, thats what the paper says "christians have nothing to fear". In any case, sharia will never be implemented in the whole country, unless they want to declare a total war on christians, and trust me, that will not succeed

Yet, as president, people were hopeful he would salvage Nigeria. He didnt quite do that, but he separated the military from civilian politics and introduced federal character in their recruitment.
The issue is not whether he is against corruption or not. The crux of the issue is how he dispensed justice. After Buhari and his boys overthrew the govt of Shagari with the sole reason that the govt was highly corrupt, he locked up Dr. Alex Ekwueme – the then VP in Kirikiri maximum prison but left Shagari – the president and Head of govt in his mansion. Ekwueme was tried by the tribunal set-up by Buhari and the tribunal declared that he was even poorer than he was before he came into office. Yet, Buhari jailed him and allowed Shagari to relax in his mansion.

He gave Dede Sam Mbakwe 100-year jail term for stealing nothing and also went after his wife. Ambrose Ali was tried for an undeveloped plot of land and he was jailed for 75 years with heavy torture that led to blindness and later death. Jim Nwobodo and Lateef Jakande were jailed for 100 years for stealing nothing. Adekunle Ajasin was tried by a military tribunal and found innocent. Buhari ordered a fresh trial, he was found innocent again. Buhari changed the tribunal and tried him again. He was still found innocent. Buhari still jailed him. But, Buhari left his personal friend – Awwal Ibrahim – the then highly corrupt governor of Niger State who was arrested at Heathrow airport with £14 million. Awwal was never jailed. He was placed under house arrest in his mansion like Shagari for just two weeks and indeed released

Furthermore, how does the phrase 'i take responsibility for everything that happened in my government' translate to 'i apologise for the wrongs perpetrated by my government'? Buhari is just being clever by half. Need i remind you that nearly all those executions on his watch were carried out by a retrogressive law. The decrees were promulgated and back dated. Who does that? Except of course Buhari. Remember Decree 4? You have access to the internet like you alluded to. I suggest you read up on these issues
