cold:

The issue is not whether he is against corruption or not. The crux of the issue is how he dispensed justice. After Buhari and his boys overthrew the govt of Shagari with the sole reason that the govt was highly corrupt, he locked up Dr. Alex Ekwueme – the then VP in Kirikiri maximum prison but left Shagari – the president and Head of govt in his mansion. Ekwueme was tried by the tribunal set-up by Buhari and the tribunal declared that he was even poorer than he was before he came into office. Yet, Buhari jailed him and allowed Shagari to relax in his mansion.

He gave Dede Sam Mbakwe 100-year jail term for stealing nothing and also went after his wife. Ambrose Ali was tried for an undeveloped plot of land and he was jailed for 75 years with heavy torture that led to blindness and later death. Jim Nwobodo and Lateef Jakande were jailed for 100 years for stealing nothing. Adekunle Ajasin was tried by a military tribunal and found innocent. Buhari ordered a fresh trial, he was found innocent again. Buhari changed the tribunal and tried him again. He was still found innocent. Buhari still jailed him. But, Buhari left his personal friend – Awwal Ibrahim – the then highly corrupt governor of Niger State who was arrested at Heathrow airport with £14 million. Awwal was never jailed. He was placed under house arrest in his mansion like Shagari for just two weeks and indeed released

Furthermore, how does the phrase 'i take responsibility for everything that happened in my government' translate to 'i apologise for the wrongs perpetrated by my government'? Buhari is just being clever by half. Need i remind you that nearly all those executions on his watch were carried out by a retrogressive law. The decrees were promulgated and back dated. Who does that? Except of course Buhari. Remember Decree 4? You have access to the internet like you alluded to. I suggest you read up on these issues

Ok, first, here is a small list of people convicted or accused of corruption under buhari:

1. GOV. JIM NWOBODO, ANAMBRA STATE (jailed for 22 years for corruption by the Military tribunal in 1984)

2. GOVERNOR ABBA MUSA RIMI, KADUNA STATE (jailed 21 years in for corruptly enriching 96 legslators of the State House of Assembly by N500,000. Rimi said he had given the money to the legislator "for keeping the law and order in their constituencies"wink

3. I know this third one will interest you. GOVERNOR AWAAL MUHAMMED IBRAHIM, NIGER STATE. He was convicted by the military tribunal for corrupt practices in 1984. Released by IBB and barred from holding political office for life by the IBB regime in 1986. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Awwal_Ibrahim

4. GOVERNOR AMBROSE ALI, BENDEL STATE. Fmr. Bendel Governor Ambrose Alli was jailed for 100years for misappropriating funds belonging to Bendel State to the tune of N983,000 meant for a road project. He was later freed when the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, paid a fine to the government. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ambrose_Folorunsho_Alli

5. VICE PRESIDENT ALEX EKWEME (this will also interest you). Brig. Tunde Idiagbon told reporters Thursday that the stockpiles of money ranged from $56,000 found at the home of former Vice President Alex Ekwueme, to $4.5 million at the residence of the last civilian governor of Kano State, Alhaji Sabo Bakin Zuwo. Source: http://www.nytimes.com/1984/01/21/world/around-the-world-nigeria-says-it-recovers-millions-from-ex-aides.html

6. Governor Aliyu Sabo Bakin Zuwo, Kano state. He was sentenced to 300 years in jail by the military tribubal in 1984 after millions of dollars was said to be found in his home in kano.

7. Umaru Dikko, Kaduna state, former minister of transport and adviser to Shehu Shagari, fled the country to London on self exile when Shagari was overthrown. There was later a failed attempt to smuggle him into the country to answer corruption charges. The government accused him of large scale corruption, especially embezzling millions of dollars from oil revenues.

I will just list the other governors and their sentences on corruption charges:

8. GOVERNOR ABUBAKAR RIMI, KANO STATE. (sentenced 21yrs)

9. APER AKU, BENUE STATE. (sentenced 21yrs)

and many others! So from the list, how was Buhari selective in dispensing justice?

Concerning the "making Nigeria ungovernable for Jonathan" here is evidence that it was not made by Buhari:

It was Reuben Abati, through the GUARDIAN Newspaper that attributed FALSELY this statement by Alhaji Lawal Kaita to Muhammadu Buhari in 2011. Lawal kaita is a close associate of Atiku Abubakar.

“The North is determined, if it happens, to make the country ungovernable for President Jonathan or any other Southerner who finds his way to the seat of power on the platform of the PDP against the principle of the party’s zoning policy. Anything short of a Northerner president is tantamount to stealing our presidency. Jonathan has to go and he will go. Even if he uses incumbency power to get his nomination on the platform of the PDP, he would be frustrated out”. Said by Kaita, not Buhari.

Reuben Abati and Guardian Newspaper later apologised to Buhari about the false publication after pleading out of court settlement:

GUARDIAN Re: For the attention of General Buhari
Thursday, 11 July 2013 00:00 Editor
SIR: “On April 22, 2011, The Guardian Newspaper
published an article on page 51 titled “For the attention of General Buhari” wherein certain allegations were made against General Muhammadu Buhari’s alleged role in the violence emanating from the elections. The publication was based on information which we believed to be reliable at that time. Since the publication, however, we now have reason to believe that certain parts of the story were not verified to be correct before the publication.
We assure General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) GCFR of our highest esteem and regret any distress or embarrassment which the said publication may have
caused him.”

Thank You. Keep researching, someday i hope you'll drop your ethnic sentiments and judge based on personal research and not bias. Your enemy is a corrupt government whose fraudulent and sick political activities are causing underdevelopment of Nigeria, illiteracy and suffering and anger and division towards one another by Nigerians.

Thank You

Oga while you lament about Buhari serving under Gen. Sani Abacha, do ask yourself the following:
- How many of those working with Jonathan served and supported Abacha?
- Why is it despite the Corruption in that regime, Buhari came out as a very bright star?
- Despite heading one of the richest institution in that regime, after 16yrs of scrutiny, not even a kobo was found to was stolen by him? OBJ who did the most elaborate investigation, said nothing was found against Buhari and is today support his ambition.

As I said, only the very corrupt politicians and their agents who do not want to stop looting Nigeria are against Buhari as the President of Nigeria.

why didnt OBJ support him in 2003,2007, 2011?
was he nt credible then?
what really changed in buhari that OBJ is supportng him now?

Buhari faults crackdown on Boko Haram
JUNE 3, 2013

Presidential candidate for the Congress for Progressive Change in the 2011 Presidential election, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has frowned on the emergency rule in parts of the North. He alleged that innocent civilians were being killed in the states.

Buhari speaking during a Liberty FM Hausa Service Programme, Guest of the Week, on Sunday in Kaduna said that Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished unlike the “special treatment” given to the Niger Delta militants by the Federal Government.

I’ll meet other generals to draft anti-terror plan – Buhari

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Wednesday said that though Nigeria is a rich nation, its people are extremely poor due to bad governance.

He also promised to involve serving and retired military generals to devise an effective strategy to crush insurgency in the country, if elected as President in 2015.

Buhari did not killed Umaru Dikko?

On Umaru Dikko, he looted government funds and ran away to London. The GMB's administration requested for him to be sent back, they refused. Buhari contracted the Israelis MOSAD to bring him back. They traced, drugged and put him in a cargo crate. It almost cleared but the custom at the Airport found out and saved Dikko from standing trial in Nigeria for all the money he looted.

Once Buhari is elected, half of Corrupt Nigerian Politicians will take an Emergency Trip Abroad. Some will go as far as Antarctica in South Pole.

Excerpts from a well researched article..

...For the Career Buharists, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) is the “messiah”. Any attempt to set the records straight by highlighting the dark days of Buhari is viewed by these people as being paranoid. They would ask you, who is scared of Buhari if not corrupt people? In the real sense of it, I don’t think anyone (including a kid from my home town) is scared of Buhari. Some of us that talk about him do so to establish the facts because he has been living on image-laundered life. Within these few days, lots of people have seen that Buhari didn’t build any refinery for Nigeria. He has no legacy despite ruling the country with iron-fist for almost 2 years. He is indeed corrupt as shown by this article and again, no Igbo have worked or working for Buhari, neither did any Igbo marry his daughter. These are the laundered image he has been living on for a long time now.
Facts are sacred, but not to the Career Buharists. To them, Buhari is God’s ‘gift’ to mankind and the most popular politician that can solve our numerous problems in a jiffy. Behind these accolades from his admires, is a man that has lost presidential elections three times consecutively. In 2003, over 24 million Nigerian rejected him. The same number rejected him in 2007 and in 2011; about 22 million rejected him. The excuse has been that, he was rigged out, but facts and figures proved that he is definitely unelectable.

He Is A Hypocrite And Sanctimonious:
Buhari is a self-acclaimed anti-corruption Czar, yet he served under late Sani Abacha without complaining of corruption. In the same period Buhari served as PTF Chairman under Abacha, Nigeria was named the 2nd most corrupt country in the world in 1996 by Transparency International; the most corrupt country in 1997 and 3rdmost country in 1998. Buhari didn’t resign or protest. He dismissed the TI Report with a wave of the hand. Can he do the same if such report says Nigeria is the most corrupt country in 2014? I know that Buhari would protest and call President Jonathan names.

Buhari as a man of integrity as he claims should have done what Tai Solarin, Duro Onabule and Ebitu Ukiwe did under IBB’s regime. IBB’s attempt to take Nigeria into the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) made his Chief of General Staff, Ebitu Ukiwe to resign. Ukiwe maintained that Nigeria, as a country, should not be a member of a religious organisation. Individual organisation can take up membership of religious organisations, but not the country. IBB made Tai Solarin the chairman of Peoples Bank with no fund and power to run it; he resigned and tendered his apology to Nigerians.

Buhari has not apologized to Nigerians for working for the most corrupt govt in the world then, but he still maintains that Abacha didn’t loot Nigeria dry even as Abacah loots are still being sent back to Nigeria.

When he took over power by the gun, he supported rigging because it favoured him. But now, he is shouting of rigging. Hear him:

“The last general election was anything but free and fair. The only political parties that could complain of election rigging are those parties that lacked the resources to rig.” - M. Buhar (First Speech after Military Coup, 31 December, 1983.

Accepted he was a dictator, but show me one military man who is not a dictator. Your Jonathan who is not a dictator ordered armed men to surround Tinubu house, ordered the arrest of prominent politicians before ekiti election, massively deployed armed men to Ekiti election. Remember Jonathan was democratically elected but he wants to single handedly remove Jega.
Secondly, this time he is coming as a civilian/democracy President not a military head of state.
I don't care how many other dictators we have out there but this particular dictator won't win this election.
