That's bull crap! Buhari doesn't want the debate/interview with GEJ because he knows he'd be outclassed! Questions like his qualifications must surely come up too, so he's avoiding that. Abokki wey no know him running mate name and the meaning of APC. Change indeed!

HE COULD NOT CHANGE THE PAST, BE WISE.

You may not be able to change the past BUT you can apologise to the family of a man you murder with a retrospective law.

You need to debate NOT because of the record/performances or lack of it of GEJ but to sell yourselves as alternative to the present government.

To be brutally honest, General Bhuari you are a semi illiterate BORN TO RULE FULANI MAN.

You do not respect the Nigerian people nor will you respect the constitution.

You are simply being packaged by Tinubu and others at APC for all your selfish interest. A 73yrs old grandfather like you has no vision or leadership to offer Nigerians at this stage of our development.

Bhuari is just desperate for power and the North want the power they 'loaned' the south back.

Bhuari is also a very CORRUPT MAN. When I have the time I will put his records out for people to see.

It does appear you keep an eternal vigil here on Nairaland. That's not supposed to be a problem, but could you spare us your hollow rantings when your brain is rented out?

Even if Nairaland is your beat, you must'nt comment on all threads! Anyways, Patience Fakabelema Jonathan is literate, with an NCE and a double honours Bachelors degree.

It is now public knowledge that you are a re-tard with a very shot memory. Buhari debated in 2011 while your god Jonathan ran away from the debate. Then you did not call Jonathan names because you lacked sense then. Pls, dont let 2015 pass you by without acquiring atleast a chinko sense.

[size=13pt]Shame on Mr Buhari.

I am imagining a Mitt Romney refusing to debate with Barack Obama because Obama's first term record were already there before Americans. Won't that be viewed by Americans as crazy?

That excuse is very lame and childish. Shame on Buhari.
The man should simply come clean and tell Nigerians he is afraid of being disgraced at the debate.

Have we not all been around all these years? We know those with a track record of dodging debates. Mr Jonathan is the foremost dodger of debates. Obasanjo never debated anyone during his own time. Even now, I am confident that GMB is a more confident speaker than GEJ. GMB is merely paying PDP in their own coin.

All those screaming high up to the heavens that GMB was a former military 'dictator' should remember that a former President, OBJ was a military ruler. Even the present Senate President was formerly in the military. Did they still display their military traits in a democratic setting? Let's think pragmatically here, no sentiments. Our present president could not address the major problem affecting Nigeria today. In my own opinion, it is CORRUPTION. It is corruption in its many forms (bribery, nepotism, fraud, embezzlement) that has adversely affected the economy of Nigeria. Now I'm not an advocate of GMB, but I believe if you can't tackle a problem, leave it to someone who can (that is if you have the interests of the country at heart). GEJ has tried his best, let him give someone else the opportunity to tackle the problems facing this country, and if that person can't, with 2019 by the corner we can always elect someone else.

P.S: Typed this in a rush. Please ignore any grammatical/typographical error(s)...
Obasonjo is a former Military ruler but not a Dictator Mr Man!( He never Topled any gorvernment by coup) instead he even handed over to a Demcratic elected Government,So Stop Comparing him to dictator Buhari. Goodluck has not really done up to expectations but he is Far better than a 'Dictator' which Buhari is ! He can lie to you that he is nw a Changed Democrat but we would never fall for it. CHANGE my foot, rubbish!!!

You are really a first class dunce, just like your man from Otuoke; otherwise with your fixation on the word ILLITERATE, one would automatically assume that you knew the meaning of the word and its application; but apparently not.
Before you continue castigating the man Buhari (BTW, learn to spell the name correctly) kindly refer to the nearest english dictionary and subsequently display some level of understanding from what you learnt - olodo rabata, the pot calling the kettle black.

I don't understand why GEJ supporters are not castigating or criticizing him for refusing to participate in the debate in last elections in which General Buhari participated alongside other presidential candidates.
Because that debate was organised by a spurrious media outfit that was less than 3months old prior the debate.
GEJ participated in the NEDG/BON organised debate, get your facts straight.

The Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu has said, if he wins the March 28 poll, he will ensure strict adherence to the constitution, saying he is now “a converted democrat”.

Mr. Buhari made the pledge while addressing a media parley in Abuja today.

“I want to assure you that Nigerian constitution will be adhered to,” he said.

He reminded the audience of the controversial Decree 4 promulgated in 1984 while he was military Head of State.

He said there will be no such controversy should he win the presidential election.

“I cannot change the past but I can change the present and future. Dictatorship goes with military which made possible decree four.

“I am a former military leader. Note the emphasis on former. But I am now a converted democrat.
“I give full assurances to Nigeria media will be free under an APC government,” he said.

Asked if he was prepared to apologise for jailing journalists as military ruler, the Director General of Mr. Buhari’s campaign and Governor of River State, Rotimi Amaechi, prevented the former general from responding, saying “the general has said he could not change the past”.

Mr. Buhari said he was not ready to participate in the presidential debate with President Goodluck Jonathan, standing for re-election as the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party.

He argued that there is no basis for debate since the record of the PDP and Mr. Jonathan in government is public knowledge.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar attended the media event.

GEJ must also been an illiterate for his failure to participate in well recognized debate in 2011 only to debate with himself in a kangaroo arrangement. GMB has been debating with Nigerians by holding several townhall meetings. What else do you people want? Let GEJ debate with himself as he did 4yrs ago. At least he is now an expert in self-debating!
