The consolidated suit seeking to disqualify the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has been adjourned to Wednesday.

The judgment on the suit, praying the court to disqualify Buhari from the presidential race for various allegations surrounding his certificate, had earlier been fixed for Tuesday at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Nothing will stop the election on Saturday. Irrespective of what happens on Wednesday all parties have a right of appeal to the court of appeal and then on to the Supreme Court. Should GMB be held to lose this case on Wednesday, the court of appeal will immediately grant an ex - parte stay of judgement pending the final resolution of the matter as the " balance of convenience" is in favour of such. Based on the times for filing and disposing of such suits it does not appear likely that such a suit would be heard before the eventual winner of the election is sworn in. As such this suit serves nothing more than nuisance value.

These guys should stop fooling Nigerians. Nobody is gonna disqualify GMB in this eleventh hour. That will mean more killing even before election, unless the move is to stop the election altogether.

If Buhari loses, he has to appeal between tomorrow and Friday because the aim of the case was to ensure he doesn't contest unless he presents his school certificate.
