The feat is the fifth in succession by Ghanaian
candidates. The last time a Nigerian student
won the WAEC International Excellence Award
was in 2007 by John Yusuf while in 2010,

Good to have you back Chief.

Doing quite well here.

We are in the month of Abib/Nisan, any hints?
oh yeah lol. trying to hold on without going insane. well we just went through a triple celestial event on march 20th, the equinox and supermoon and total solar eclipse all on the same day and come the fourth of april is the luna eclipse on passover and unleavened bread so you know its about to go down. the saiints are going to come marching home lol. dunno about abib/nisan. i hear about it but i only tend to follow the biblical holy days like unleavened bread, yom kippur ( atonement ), rosh hashanah ( trumpets ), passover, tabernacles ( sukkot ). thats all i familiarize myself with pursuing to the book of leviticus chapter 23. grin

If the saints are coming home, it can only be in the month of Abib which the first day was March 21. The Eclipse, and Supermoon, and the start of the Spriing Equinox all happening to usher in Abib in a Shemitah year.

Exodus 23:15
Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me emptysmiley

I went to University with guys who wrote WAEC in their 20's...

A former president of my Univeristy's fellowship started school at the age of 14 (Primary school....note!).

And one woman I know of was recently celebrated by her children and grand-children.....and she wrote WAEC in her 20's.

In the pursuit of education....no one should twitter about your age. Just get to your goals...and surpass them. Just because you graduated at 21 does not mean you are better than the guy who graduated at 40.

I wish i was born in Ghana. That country seems to be getting it right in all sectors and the only thing we can boast of ahead of ghana is land mass.

Ghana has electricity 247

Ghana has zero tolerance for corruption

Ghanians are peaceful people who are not divided by religious and ethnicity

ghana is safe and protects its citizens

Nigeria's education compared to Ghana is a joke

Nigeria is a Giant on paper. It's citizens have been programmed to suffer and smile to the extent that they dont know their rights as citizens

I visited accra last year and i can say lagos and PH is over hyped.

God bless Ghanaians

God give Nigeria the right leaders to make us develop like Ghana

corruption...they also have their share though not as much as Nigeria, you need to see the news...people jumping happily because court ordered a thief to be released.

Many of those schools are probably prepping students for ICGCSE, International BAC and A-levels. WAEC? What is WAEC?

But in a way...you are right. And that boils down to the way we prepare students from primary school in particular.

If your primary school was bad....then there is nothing you can do....unless by the grace of God....the student will not do well.

Time for improving funds for teacher training colleges....and BTW....we can do as Finland does...and make entry into the Faculty of Educuation restricted to people who score above 260 IN JAMB plus 5 B's and A's at WAEC.... funny you.....students who dont perform in waec' what do you expect from them in a-levels, sat, etc?.

I hope you got the point I was making...that we really need to improve the quality of teaching in Nigeria.

And really....schools that pay N2million per term won't be preparing students for some local exam.....that's a IGCSE/sat school you are looking at. WAEC? Maybe....on the side.

And i dont pray we be like Ghana, cos, we are 100% better dan them.

The quality of Ghanaian education is generally higher than that of Nigeria.
You can get high quality education in Ghana for a prize much less than 50% cost of comparable/similar quality in Nigeria.

Their spoke English (diction and clarity in their pronunciation of English words) is profound

Such students won't be in a N2million per annum school...and if they were...they would have been eased out long before time.
Re: 3 Ghanaian Students Sweep WAEC International Excellence Awards by joncom(m): 4:36pm On Mar 25, 2015
Being a teacher, I have come across very exceptional students. The innability of Nigeria not to have produced straight A's student is down to many factors...
1. Supervisors and Examiners make life difficult for the bright ones especially if they don't 'settle' them.
2. Exam conditions are not thesame.
3. Wrong scores, as most markers assumes the student must have copied.
It goes on and on.

In summary, Nigeria is more intelligent than Ghana. They know it.
WAEC is not a yardstick.
