The are people we call 'child of destiny, sometimes its very dengerous fighting them.
Amaechi is one of them. A great man with a large heart.
Now mama piece and wike, that have been planning how to toment amechi after his ternue as governor will now be at his mercy. Definately, Apc will win rivers gov election.

Again, mama p problem with Amaechi is the bigest factor that lead to jona losing this election.
Imagine if those five powerfull governors and legislators and their supporters had not decamped from pdp.

Governor Rotimi is no hero. He did nothing. He contributed nothing to Buhari's victory. He should not be revered here cos his efforts were useless.

True he contributed financially to the general's campaign. But did he win votes for the general? Instead he acted like a clueless man by trying to disrupt the elections in his state with wild allegations. He did not even contribute with his vote as he refused to be accredited. He not only lost the state, he lost it woefully. Rochas and Oshiomole did a whole lot better than him and made less noise.

Maybe the general will compensate him with a ministerial appointment. But other than that he has lost all relevance in rivers politics.

Following a funny victory in 2007 polls, when romiti amechi regained d flag nd unseats umeha, hav been one of his biggest fan, even when d C5 governors defected I was one of his fan too, one of d best performing governor in his time, a man with boldness and courage, a man who challanged PDP and brought dem down, HIS EXCELLENCY GOV. I can't allow this moment pass by without acknowledging the most outstanding and brave rivers man I've ever known, Governor rotimi Amaechi the Lion of the Niger Delta, the man with a heart stronger than that of Tompolo and Ateke but believes in doing things the right way!
Though most of ure people in Rivers state turned against u and called u all sorts of names, and decided not to acknowledge ure achievements in the state for sentimental Reasons, but most of us the Non indigenes and a great populace obviously more than 60,000 love and respect ure courage and bluntness in speaking for what you believe in!
Indeed God is alive, cos I've defended u endlessly and staked out my head insisting u won't b jailed!
Now u will make ure mark as an outstanding rivers man, probably the greatest among the few with strength of character!
And I knw it's won't end there cos uve a date with destiny!
Global recognition awaits u!

The battle for Amaechi is not over.
If Wike could rig the presidential election, imagine what he will do on the 11th?
Wike might be a thug and unrefined character but his political machinery is unmatched in the state. The biggest mistake Rivers politicians made was underestimating him.

The votes gathered from both s/s and S/e are not even up to one million. The impacts of Amaechi, Rochas and Ngige were not well felt but this is not to play down their roles as regards to what they did despite brutal circumstances they all faced but to praise them on how they stood their ground. Removes the votes from S/s and S/e, Apc will still win.

I do not agree with you wholly but you have a point.
After 8 years, Amaechi has no political structure in the state.
In the 8 years that he has been governor, Wike has built an almost immovable political structure.
Even Okorocha who has a second term to fight for stood up to the might of the PDP and delivered to an extent. Same with Oshiomole.
For all his noise, Amaechi is a very poor politician.

he succeeded because of the powers backing him coupled with security agents.
Be rest assured that with what transpired yesterday, the powers may have diminished a little bit.
Even if he wins, Amaechi is on his way to Abuja and he still remains a political warlord in Rivers. APC in the state will continue to grow without any form of intimidation. The real test will be in the local elections.

like I said in one of my post Take CRA out of APC what u have is CPC.
apart from the financial aspects the ideas, campaign strategies, when to act and all that GMB did are all CRA n others ideas.
Talking of not delivering his state by that act u called clueless. if he hasn't stop his party members from voting, then PDP vote from Rivers would have passed 2m votes. because they would have used their card as part of accredited cards.
pls just give it up for CRA n his brilliancy.
by the way u can hug the transformer now that the light has come to 24/7.

Wike rigged the election with a Federal might but like u know power don change hand. no more policing from his side. the forth coming election will be so free n APC will win.

Allow me to call Rotimi, the Fisrt Son of the South South, this man has encouraged me the more, Ive come to know that there is no mountain that can not be crushed, all you need to do is to be focused. Rotimi was faced with battles from Patience, Evans, Wike and Jonathan, but it will go down in history today that he crushed them all. Despite the intimidation from Mama Peace, Wike and the last minute betrayal of his deputy Tele Ikuru (that one must be causing the witches & wizard in his family), he remained undaunted and fought the battle he believed in to the logical end. I admire his courage and tenacity.
N.B: I have always wonder why he is bearing Rotimi. Any explanation for that because I think Rotimi is a Yoruba name

All that GMB did is not CRA. GMB alone would have won the north. Tinubu and Fashola won GMB the south west. Then tell me what CRA won for GMB? Nothing. Instead he boycotted the election with the lamest of excuses. When it matters CRA ran away like a coward and cried foul. There was no foul. Instead CRA simply failed.

I will not hug a transformer because GMB won. GMB may turn out to the a great President. I welcome his victory. But if I were CRA, I'd only take the ambassadorship of Madagascar and spend the rest of my inglorious days in political exile.

PDP lost the presidency the moment they lost Amaechi, i said this much immediately the fight between PDP and Amaechi started. For Amaechi to win the Nigerian Governors Forum elections dispite the opposition from PDP signalled how the future would look like. Amaechi was the most respected governor among all governors in Nigeria, he was the one that dragged the 5 aggrieved PDP governors to APC. He was the main coordinator and motivator of APC. Without Amaechi APC would not have been a formidable force. All the Key Strategy of Buhari were Amaechi's idea, the decision to boycott debates and use town hall meetings instead, the decision to embark on international diplomacy to make Buhari more acceptable internationally (despite his controversial past), etc.

Like Babangida said, the gravest mistake Jonathan made was letting Amaechi go and fighting Baba.
