For the fact we remain peaceful and law-abiding doesn't mean we bend to threats,so it is very imperative we lay down markers
to Oba Akiolu and his likes that they do not have monopoly over violence. An eye for an eye,a tooth for tooth....We have yoruba lives at stake in the east too,so everyone needs to calm down and let the igbos cast their votes without fear or intimidation as it is written in the Nigerian Constitution.

There is no part of the constitution that arrogates power to him as a traditional ruler on any issue including politics, therefore he must apologise for this unnecessary outburst of hate speech.

Ndi Igbo should exercise their best civility here.
Do not in any way justify the Oba's shameful comments and that of some of his most ignorant followers by generalizing this behavior to all Yorubas.

Yoruba people cannot be dragged into this. Falana has done the needful. Many other yorubas can identify with Falana's statement.

Igbos should maintain their dignity in calculated silence, which I believe will further their cause, instead of being tempted to insult the throne which Akiolu occupies temporarily.

So, who are you calling Visitors in Lagos ? Are you educated at all ? Tomorrow Yoruba people will rush to America or London to give birth, so that the Kids can be American or UK citizens, yet the Kids born in Lagos by Igbo man is a visitor and the kid of Ekiti man born in Epe is a Lagosian? You guys are so silly sometimes.

Get your facts right, no matter what, an indegene will always be an indigine and immigrant will always be an immigrant. Ask Nigerians leaving in US even with green card

ThankGod you said some! Can you use the few to judge the whole?
Sunymoore:

Honestly bro, I have no problem with Ndi Igbo people, because we have few at our 'area' and they are all hardworking and peaceful. But the problem is that some of your people like any other people are too proud and see other tribes as enemies, this alone can breed out a world of hatred

It takes two to tango.

Oba Akinolu may not be right on this but the attitude of our Igbo brothers and sisters could frustrate one.

Having helped them more than what their region has done for them, instead of being grateful; their actions seem to be undermining the essence of our existence through their incendiary statements. Calling their hosts cowards- what do you want after that-fight to show we are not cowards.

Oba Akinolu is their match and that is why the situation seems difficult now.

A gentle king could be disobeyed easily but did they say anything at the palace? No. They dare not.

It was after leaving the palace that chest beating, ultimatum , etc started surfacing.

Who then is the cowards? Ta lo fe gbenan woju ekun lai f'eje we ( who wants to put light at the face of a tiger without being bathed with blood)

Remember, 'He who makes peaceful resolution difficult , has made violence inevitable.'

Stop spewing ignorance my friend...simply basic knowlwdwge of how. The world works will let you know that any region that has water cum seaport is prone to quick development, due to economic activities that take place in these areas..lagos has all the major ports of nigeria that's why its simply developed. If igbos can be united and get someone to build them a port in the east do you think lag will be this good? You probably don't know ,the answer is caiptal NO.

And guess which tribe runs the major ops in these ports? ...go and do ur home work boy.
Like you like your oba...its better to keep your mouth shut and be thought wise than open your gap and remove all doubt.

Oba Akiolu must NOT apologize to you ibos and he won't. wait and see how your people will go to the palace and apologize. He threatened them and they clapped, just wait for it. How many left of the 48 hours?

Agbaje or Ambode makes no difference so neither will tolerate traitors. You claimed to have armed yourselves and marked choice targets, whatever that means. You will soon learn that words are sacred. Be ready. It will only come to kill and be killed and if it comes to that be assured that no single igbo man or woman, young or old would leave Lagos and SW alive. You can neither go by air nor sea and the land route is long, tortuous and unfriendly. Colateral damage would be much for sure. When the burble bursts, the constitution becomes mear paper.

Listen to the audio of the response of the Igbo leaders to Oba and you will know that sounds like friends joking around . This is after Obas comments, obvious this is some sort if swearing between leaders who had a pacts one of the Igbo leaders was even saying, you know I'm a man of my word and they they swore allegiance to Oba

So, Obama is an immigrant who became President, and Schwarzenegger is an immigrant who became Governor of California, yet Emeka whose parents are natives of Anambra, who was born in Victoria Island, can not be Governor of Lagos State. But Tunde who was born in Ogun State, can become a Governor of Lagos.

Receive some sense, in Jesus Name.

We own you no gratitude; we prefer to be in our own country! There is nothing to be grateful to share a country with pathetic, envious, backstabbing lowlifes such as you!

You can start the journey to own your own country by staying in your states first. We're all these bad things you said and you'll still take the pain to journey from your poor villages to share Lagos with us, I wonder why Yorubas are not saying Onitsha is no man's land, it's probably it's not a place worth fighting for.

People should stop being silly, what the Oba of lagos said should not in anyway cause tribal issues. I agree that those words were too much to be said but why are some silly igbo people picking on yorubas as if it was a collective decision among the yorubas. He should be made to bear the consequences as he has said that Lagos is his own...lemme remind you that most of you are tenants in lagos so u need to be careful before you steer tribal conflicts
The King cant be bigger than the village and as far as i am concerned we are all brothers irrespective of our tribes.Vote who so ever you wish and be sure that we your yoruba brothers will definitely stretch our hands for you when you are drowning.

funny grin grin..Yorubas are naturally good no doubt just that maybe the was high on Alomo when he made those statements and to think that he tried covering it up before the audio and video version surfaced online made the whole thing so interesting grin...With the way things are going, I think the Oba is working with Agbaje
Because no sensible adult will make such statement in this crucial time...let's eschew violence and embrace peace..one love my Yoruba brothers...You guys are peaceful and loving compared to Gambaris..
