Arik did not change their rules my dear. I guess you didn't understand it.
The rule states that they will carry you at 34 weeks if you are returning to your country of residence.. So, assuming USA happens to be your country of residence, then they will def carry you..
Argued this with an agent who almost booked me on Arik.. i had to point it out to him...
isysleek:
Wen arik decided to change their rule without notifying anyone or changing their website info nko . God knew I had no budget for new ticket so it was Him at work!

Thanks a million and God bless you for your response! I just wanted to be sure the place was manageable cas I can get easily irritated.
Though I still have to see how I'll cope in one single room with my mum for three months! undecided God willing, I'll be using Northwest Medical Centre.
I just received my acceptance/appointment letter from Dr Glenn Morgan today smiley I think it was from you I got the info about the hospital and Dr. on this thread. Thanks once again. I hope your baby is doing fine. Would appreciate any more useful info.

Hello can you send me Dr. Glenn Morgan contacts and the hospital Northwest Medical Center. Ekweresplace@gmail.com. Thanks.

If it's possible to re-route via anoda POE pls do. You wld probably spend a few bucks. Had a friend dat ws sent back 2 days ago, anoda was stamped in for 2 weeks while 2 odas scaled tru. No one really can predict her fate bt it's advisable to completely avoid it if possible.

Thanks Feddy27 for your reply, but if I may ask why was your friend sent back, and why was the other stamped in for 2 weeks. Am asking so I know to help me better decide. Would appreciate your response please.

My dear, you know in cases like this one needs to be careful and not ask so many questions. I sure knew she had all the docs + cash ready. Probably she met an angry person. Wat I knw is dey always delay preggies and may finally let you in . Personally, I ws nt ready to experience any of such avin read tru oda people's experience on dis thread. Jst avoid houston, chicago and atlanta. Any oda place shld be fine. Like I said, your case might be different bt honestly I wasn't ready for the gamble.

Infact, I know of a preggie that was also turned back from Houston 2 weeks ago.

I couldn't ask for details because we are not very familiar, she only came to drop off somethings for me to take to her relative in US.

My question is why were they sent back, cos they could have been sent back for the same reason irrespective of the POE they used. We all know some of the reasons why one can be sent back for if not properly handled. We all know Houston POE are harsh, I just wanna know if they have come up with some other reasons. As for meeting an angry person that day, such people won't be at work the day I will arrive grin

Congrats dear. Coming to Join you soon.

Hello house!

Congrats to all the new mums.

Arrived El Paso yesterday, Monday.

POE was JFK and I flew Arik.

Wen I booked my flight, arik website said 34wks max. Bt I hrd they don't accept more than 28wks. I am 34wks so I got fit to fly showing 27wks.

I got to checkin counter and showed my fit to fly. They said they don't want to see it that I shuld go 2 port health and they will examine me and give a fit to fly cert. My hrt started beating o!

Wen I got there, d woman asked me hw mny wks I am,i said 27wks. She said that means I will be 36wks. That she will examine me now and find out d truth. So I lay down and she measured and behold she got 27wks. Another woman, came and measured me and got the same thing. They were both shocked for reasons I do not know *eyesrolling*

I was shocked myself cos my doc measured me on Wednesday and got 33wks. God at work o! They sha gave me d cert with 27wks on it,paid a fee of 2k and I left.

Flight was ok. There were some empty seats on the flight so just went there, lay down and slept wella. Food wasn't so bad.

At POE,only two questions were asked: "wat are u here for", "have u been to any African country recently". Finish! No sec inspection.

I declared I had food so was sent to agriculture‎. D guy jst asked if I had yam, vegetables or fruits. Said no and that was all. Told me I can go.

I carried enof food...even palmoil, indomie onion chicken bt to God be the glory, non was seen.

God is,and has always been awesome.

I'm at El Paso now.

Just tot to share my experience.

Hello my fellow mums and mum to be....., just want to share my little experience so Farr till now.... Am a May mum but getting a less pricey hospital and accommodation was very hard for me.... But what God has planned and said will always come to be. 1 st my major issue was entering the US cos I didn't specify I was coming to birth, all thru my application was Vacation, but haven't read tru Ida peoples story, I came tru DFW Texas, and I bless God I wasn't asked about birthing , am 31 weeks gone , but I really dressed the winter way and I was smart in all I did at the airport/ POE. The only stop was where I was asked to scan my agricultural foods from Nigeria and I was let to go.

My hospital for birthing is MIHS phoenix Arizona , which is a full package of 5400 dols for vaginal birth and 6500 for a c-section no other bills/ cost included , so which is a very good deal for me as well as the accommodation which is at legacy suites which I pay 600 dols with all bills inclusive but am sharing which is another good deal, cos I heard of some mums story on how dey paid huge amount for other places like crossland and suffered to get another accommodation.

So anyone willing to use MIHS, I say you have chosen the right place...... And if any1 want to share or want a studio the prices are very good and affordable, also every1 wants to cut cost.....apart from that you got company here and the mum's here are wonderful......

So good luck on ur choice of hospital.....

Good day house, can someone help with a draft of the letter/ sample one can send to the Embassy informing them I want to go and have a baby before I go? I have a visa already over a year ago and I have been to the US twice. I have friends who have written them to inform them os such. is it advisable? I want to go to OHIO, there a good and affordable hospital TRINITY MEDICAL CENTRE. The maternity contract sent to me was :

Prepayment Cost Detail:

Vaginal Delivery

1-2 day stay [$2,400 for mom] and [$950.00 for each baby]

C-Section

3-4 day stay [$3,725 for mom] and [$950.00 for each baby]

Deposit amount $________________

Please note: Prepayment rate must be paid prior to delivery. We suggest you make payment before the seventh month in case delivery is earlier than expected. The prepayment deposit does not include other visits related to the pregnancy or physician fees. If there are complications with mother or baby the contract covers the charges for the first two days of the vaginal delivery and the first four days of the c-section delivery. Any, additional days beyond the contracted stay are the patient’s responsibility – and financial arrangements must be made at the time of discharge.
