[quote author=nelly2012 post=32469011]Hi dittobaby, are you in Sacramento now? Not at all. I'm still in Abuja. Planning to travel to Sacramento by May ending if I finally settle for California. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by dittobaby: 4:26pm On Apr 08, 2015 |
Gracydee: Mamatobenna told me she used a different pediatrician after delivery. She paid him or her only at first visit. My thoughts on this is that if pediatrician fee is not part of the hospital package, you are free to source for your own pediatrician that is using or is registered with that same hospital. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by boldbabe: 4:58pm On Apr 08, 2015 |
Gracydee: The pediatrician at the hospital is different from the one you see after discharge. The hospital pediatrician attends to your baby while there but when you are discharged, you will have to go to your own pediatrician for immunizations and regular check up. |

Hello house! Have been following these threads for a while but can't find information that suits my intention. My Wife will be due in October. I'm thinking of using Baltimore, MD or Massachusetts, Boston. * Please what's the safest way of presenting your case at the embassy for your visa to be approved? By the way, I've never been to the USA before but my wife and I have been to India on two occasions for medical reasons. * If I decide not to notify the VO during the interview about birthing in the States but disclose it at POE, showing all the necessary documents and correspondence, will it comes back to hunt us in subsequent visa appointments & renewal? * Please, anyone with doctors direct contacts, who will be willing to give appointments and respond to correspondence in Maryland or Boston should please share with me @ Ekweresplace@gmail.com. * While preparing for interview, what documents should I have handy? * I'll welcome and appreciate any advice you guys would give. This is my first time... Please house, it's urgent. Thank you. |

: *edit* To clarify, the flat I eventually got isn't a standalone; we took 2rooms in a 3bedroom; the Masters bedroom is properly furnished such that only the kitchen is shared with the single flatmate therein. During my search, I realised getting a standalone is easier if one plans to stay for 3months at least. 12 Likes 1 Share |

Hello ekweresplace, First of all congrats on the baby and wishing you and wifey H&H 9 mths with safe delivery. For detailed information to answer your questions, please read part 1 of this thread. Link is on page 1. You can start reading from midway(pg200) or wait for others to reply. Generally its best to be truthful, state you are going to give birth, have all the necessary doumenattions ready, armed with prayers, go for the interview. To get indepth information, please read the part 1 of this thread. About the areas you mentioned for birthing, few people have given some hospitals in Maryland, I am not sure of Boston. This is because these areas are generally expensive and one needs to do a lot of ground work to find a friendly all-inclusive package for self pay. |
