gists:As a traditional monarch and an elder, has your oba ever make any effort to confront and admonish Agbaje over his campaign methods? I thought he should have called him to order if he felt aggrieved or threatened that someone would be at par with him. I don't support that and I'm sure lots of Igbos in Lagos don't give a damn about the Eze ndi Igbo. I doubt if most people know his name. Your oba should tackle the problem and not vent his frustrations on innocent people. I mentioned igbokwe because he and his friend do not represent the face of Igbos in Lagos, never said they weren't igbos. I mentioned because you guys seem to drop their names everytime Apc want to show that non indigenes are part of fashola's govt. Those guys are working for their pockets. If they lose their jobs today, no Igbo Man in Lagos would miss them. If Ambode went to Alaba or ladipo with those men, those would not get a single vote. I mentioned indiscriminate taxation and levies. If you want to find out further, Pls do your research. You will be shocked. No one is fighting to displace the Yorubas but I think any responsible resident of Lagos should contest election if he has anything to offer without you people feeling threatened,Let the people decide who leads or represents them. Politics is only a do or die affair to jobless people, without politics, they are nothing. You have two main contestants in Ambode, a successful accountant who can easily go back to his accounting firm and Agbaje who is a successful pharmacist. They are intelligent, academic and successful in their professions. Lagos indigenes should be proud of them and irrespective of who wins, he should be accepted and congratulated and supported. Leave the Igbos out of these. May their votes go to whomsoever they wish to cast those votes for. |

joncom:My friend become wise, if all the ibos voted 4 Pdp can they win?, the truth is this entire oba saga as been a positive 4 Apc, the strategy team of JK have allowed themselves to become distracted, seriously mis-calculatng, devoting and concentrating their energies on the Ibo vote, why?, becos the Ibos always voted Pdp so why consume yur resources on a vote u already have, the whole have turned out to b a plus 4 Apc, u had the leaders of Apc come out openly and assure not just the ibos but all the tribes that they safety and prosperity will b looked after, I hope u know there r other different tribes living in lagos apart from ibos meanwhile Apc have been busy mobilise their votes and embracing defectors from Pdp in all the heavily yoruba populated areas like badagry, agege, yaba, mushin, epe, ikorodu, ipaja, isale eko etc,the bottom line my friend pls dont hold yur breath, dont think, imagine or try to pounder, there is no happy forever after, no fairy tale ending or no make believe wish Pdp will not win Lagos |

olatunji21:how will you say that JK divided lagos among ethinic lines? Not JK sir! It is social media guys. Ndi Igbo are predominantly PDP & even among yorubas JK is a more prefered candidate to Ambode. So Igbos like any other person are supporting the party that has given them opportunity to make contributions into the affairs of the state where they live, work & die. PDP being the only “national“ party (for now) has given Igbos opportunity to contest & even win primaries in Lagos. If you live in Lagos, you will know that all the areas where the Igbos live en mass have been negleted by both AD/AC/ACN/APC government for the these 16years. The wind of change is blowing so the wind should also pass through Lagos. Lagos is not divided among tribal or ethnic lines but among party lines PDP & APC... SIMPLE & SHORT |

tedid1st:zik and Awo fought for nigeria independence in many front point of correction. As educated as zik he knew that there are region, but he trust his popularity that lagos population will vote for him then, before he was brutally reminded that Nigeria is divided in region. Point am trying to make is that yoruba have been into tribalism since and that it didnt start with oba comment and others. |

gbosaa:I never said people were not taxed. I just asked a few questions about the taxes, but like others you ignored it. gbosaa:Did you see/hear of any issue when Igbos won some seats to the house of assembly? The irritating thing here is the politics of ethnicity at the state level the Agbaje is trying to introduce to Lagos. gbosaa:And I asked what will satisfy your thirst for political appointment in Lagos? Is it when the Obi of Onitsha is given an appointment or who exactly do you want that will represent this so-called "face of Igbos" in Lagos? |
