Hello Mamas, papas, spinsters, bachelors, about to be baby mamas (don't tell yall didnt see that post grin) and everyone....

So yea I gave birth last week! I have to say God made it look so easy that I'm planning number 2 already cheesy

Ok seriously my story, if some of u remember I was so scared of labour, contractions, tear, big baby or no big baby, how to drive to hospital or not....basically I was clueless on birthing! Being the researcher I am, I spent most insomnia pregnancy nights watching scary birthing videos on Youtube, from Forceps to Episiotomy to 1st and 2nd degree tear, to C-Sections to epidural or no epidural. In fact by the time I was done watching videos and emailing concerned EXPERIENCED NL mothers, I was a certificate away from qualifying as an Obgyn myself! cheesy

But the God I serve was probably looking at me and laughing like this my child sef, because the truth is my labour and delivery was so stress free I ended up staying only 24hrs after delivery than the normal 48hrs. My baby weighed 3.7kg but I had not even one tear! No constipation (TMI sorry lol) and no complications whatsoever! And Northside Hospital nurses are beyond blessed! Eveb though my first nurse turned my hand into a net chooking me here and there looking for vein for my IV but I told her it`s fine, as I had raised my mental understanding of pain grin

My Obgyn, love her to the moon and back! She was so awesome to me, and I can see us hanging out for drinks later! She made sure she was the one that delivered my baby so she changed her schedule when I called her I was in labour! She kept me calm during my pushing and when baby's head was out, she guided me through the rest. I pray God blesses her immensely!

As for the service I got from Northside, it was exceptional! My delivery room and my recovery room were beautiful and they kept bringing juice and crackers for my mum. There are food polaces in the hospital too if u choose to have something else. Honestly I felt like I was in a hotel coz I got anything I asked for, as long as it was reasonable lol. My only complaint id them Medicaid people called my room extension pestering me to use Financial assistance! I yelled at the lady, hung up and disconnected the phone ext LMAO! Biko I wanted to sleep jare grin

The next morning Dr Abrams the Pediatrician came to see me and my baby, and he is such a nice man! SO gentle and experienced. So I will stick with him, thanks to the NL mum that recommended him.

So thats it folks, I`m back home from the hospital and learning how to be a mum! It is the best job in the world!!!

Will update my 3rd part of this project i.e document processing when I`m done! Good luck to all the mothers coming behind us oh. God`s favour!

If anyone has questions about Northside hospital, well I might not quickly respond to ur email becoz baby has collected all the time I have left lol. But I will try and respond, as long as e no be question wey pesin don answer for this thread b4 angry grin

Shawbabe signing out.....

[qwasuote author=Nwachino1 post=32542163]Dear House. I must say I have been following this platform for a while and it's so useful. We thank God for all the wonderful testimonies.

Please can I kindly request for information on an affordable hospital in philadelphia? I really need this information as soon as possible. I appreciate. Thank you.
There is crozier Chester hospital and delaware county memorial hospital. Both hospitals are run by the crozier Chester group. They charge 1500 for doc/obgny and 6000 for hospital. This fee is both for natural and cs . Same price. You will source for pediatrician which should come to about 600 dollars But this depends on the no of days stay at the hospital. If you are having cs. You will pay for anaesthesia which cost at 1250. And finally you will run test/ blood works. They accept results from Nigeria but which ever is not there u will have to do. There labs are very affordable. Be prepared to pay for scans though which cost like 45 dollars. Then for your sake, baby sake and God's sake . Don't come in thru pHilly. Just enter jeje thru new York.

Hi ladies,

I'm due in november (so pregnancy still very young, pray for me for my little bean to stick Oooo !).
Still we have to plan this thing early on. I'm planning on getting in via JFK.
My problem tho is that i have an european passeport so i'm under the waiver program. That means i can't stay for more than 3 months. I'm also at risk of premature delivery and need c-section anyway.

1-So i can't wait too long to travel as i could end up having a surprise birth beforehand and i can't go too early if i want to have enough time to make my babies passeport and stuff. Any suggestion on when i should leave ?

2-Is JFK safe for us ?

3-I'm planning on concealing my bump as much as i can. I'll travel during winter time so it should help. I hope they won't pay attention and won't ask about it. But should i go ahead and tell them that i'm coming for delivering my baby ?

Hi Congrats on your safe delivery.

Which campus of the Northside hospital did you use and which OBGYN?
Could you please give an idea of what your charges eventually came to including pediatrician. And since you stayed just one day, did this bring down your bills. Were there any hidden charges?

Thanks

First of all, I don't know what religion you practice, but just have faith that all will be well, your baby will stay till full term and will be born healthy and safely.
I understand the need for precautions though, so here is the thing.
1. Before you come on your trip, research your chances of extending your stay another few months. I know that it's possible to request for longer stay of up to 6mths.

2. Yup, from other preggies experiences and my experiences (although wasn't preggie then) JFK is an awesome POE.

3. Why hide your bump? You have a European passport, even 'the land is green' passport holders like us declare our intentions and have it easy. (See AyaSho's post in the previous page)

There is nothing prayer cannot do, just be hopeful that your baby will be full term, even if you do come in early. You will jejely wait for baby to come when he/she/they are ready to come wink

Hello mums,

I am very new in this thread and i need a lot of help.

3 of my friends who used Doctoresparati were recently denied visa at the US embassy.

I have just paid my enrollment fee as well as my letter of medical responsibility fee only to find out that the US embassy is not really very friendly to intending mums using Doctoresparati.

I am currently considering MIHS but i do not know how to go about it.

I seriously need advice as I had already researched Doctors Parati and feel at peace with them, but if there's an issue I need to reconsider and start afresh as I intend to go to the embassy next month.

I am completely devastated and will appreciate help from all the experienced mums.

Hiya, Congrats on your BFP. You can leave at 31 weeks and you'll still have about about 3 weeks to do the runs for baby's passport and visa. Make sure you tell them at the hospital you need your baby's birth certificate urgently, so you need to show them your itinerary. For the point of entry I actually told them am just coming in to do my baby's shopping and to visit relatives but if incase my baby comes before going back that I have enough cash on me to pay for the hospital.

Just go to the passport office with the original birth certificate, and you and your hubby's passport. You'll get the form there. If your hubby isn't around, you need the usual notorised consent form. Otherwise, just go there with your baby and hubby. And don't forget your money order and baby's passport photographs, we took ours at Walgreens.

Hello Dear,

You also need to confirm the exact reasons why they denied your three friends, there could be more to it than just using Doctoresparati.Peole have used them in getting Visa and others have been denied too.

I once asked if it was possible to contact the doctors in elpaso directly, rather than going thru the agent, but no one has responded to me.
There is a God factor in all these application, you can exploring contacting Dr Martell or Dr Mont, directly too, lets see if they will respond.I once contacted Del sol Medical centre directl too.

All the Best
Hello mums,

I am currently considering MIHS but i do not know how to go about it.

Let me try to help you -
The MIHS (Maricopa Intergrated Health System) advert is at the bottom of this page. It cost $5400 for non residents (self Pay) in a maternity package. Contact them via Email: CopaNet@hcs.maricopa.gov or call francesca henandez 16023441675.

It was said somewhere on part 1 of this thread that Del Sol hospital which Doctoresparati use is expensive is youcontact them directly. Try it first though.

You may even get another hospital in Texas for your visa interview and POE then port to El Paso when you get into the US.

Good day all,

Please I need an urgent help. My wife has an appointment with Dr Fagbohun later today (in some 4hours). My main concern is the price the price I was told I would pay seem different from what I planned with. The lady we spoke with to book the appointment said we were paying US3,250 on first visit.

Can anyone who recently used Dr Fagbohun please confirm if this amount is ok and maybe help me with what this amount covers.

Thanks

No need to panic. 1st visit is $325. She'll get more details wen she gets there. There are no hidden charges with them
