Chinese men go for top positions in education whereas Nigerian men (mostly) go for business studies and other lowly positions.

Well, I think it is not possible to tell who is more intelligent. Women are more intelligent in some certain areas whilst men are intelligent in certain areas as well. We all humans, our difference in sexual organs doesn't reflect on our cognitive abilities.

The difference could be that women tend to be more on a divide why men are mostly in the middle and can swing to any edge easily. When there's something new, even if something that we find uninteresting we'll want to grant it some audience but once a woman finds something that's not among her clique of interest she doesn't bother, she flings it off.

The average Nigerian girl, for instance, seems to have lost touch with real issues affecting lives. They'd rather want to know what human hair is trending, what music is the latest, or the latest butt pad and all lol. One can assume men are more versatile in thoughts, as they can combine trending news of celebrities, lifestyle, politics etc. They mix with everything. But there's no official figures to back this up.

While its quite difficult to ascertain if Nigerian Guys are more knowledgeable than the Ladies because there are no facts to prove or disprove that.

I still believe its not far-fetched that the above discuss can be based on a singular assumption that Nigerian ladies "generally" hardly show interests in issues such as Politics, Psychology, Philosophy, Medicine, Nature,etc.

I think one of the reasons for this is that ladies are by default interested in issues such as lifestyle, fashion, celebrity gossips, entertainment etc.

The few ladies that stand out, tend to have more male friends, or rather are in an environment dominated by men and as such pick up other interests or better still develop interest in intellectual issues.

I listen a lot to 99.3 Nig info. Great radio station, as a matter of fact they stole my heart from their sister stations, Cool and Wazobia FM.

Like you rightly pointed out @emboledened, 95% of those that call to contribute are Men. Even on the Morning Crossfire where heated issues are discussed on the panel, likes of green hour and co. You hardly get female callers.

The worst of is when the OAP's specifically tell the ladies to call in, you still get a few calling in.

The most appalling for me is the program on "The woman", its quite amazing that just a few ladies call and contribute.

These and many more are probably enough reasons to say that Men are more knowledgeable.
