Your region never believed in him . Isn't it
ironic that you people are making demands from a leader you never saw anything good in?
Am yet to hear the Northerners and
Westerners who collectively voted the
General in make any demand of him, save
good governance.

#Stolen.

Dont mind all these so called ethnic champions who sow nothing but seeds of discord and hate among the people. Why cant they demand things on behalf of NIGERIANS? Na only Ndigbo get needs or na only dem need attention?

Anyway, we the NdiNigerians (i.e. the rest of Nigerians that actually voted for Change and Buhari) also have three demands we make from our dear Ndigbo brothers and sisters.

(1) stop seeing yourselves as the sole victims of marginalisation in Nigeria - na all of suffer under previous governments (especially under your adopted son, Jonathan) and na all if us go benefit if Buhari performs.

(2) stop seeing yourselves as some sorts of super-human, ultra-intelligent, semi-jews that are BETTER than other tribes. This is not only a dangerous fallacy, but it leads to disrespect of other tribes (on your part) and irritation of your tribe (on the part of others). As a people Ndigbo are unique and have excelled in some aspects BUT that does not mean other tribes are incapable or lesser than Igbos.

(3) many - not all of you sha - need to actually start believing in Nigeria for once. When was the last time an igbo person (red cap chief or not) condemned MASSOB or engaged them in a serious debate about a united Nigeria? Or is it that una dey secretly support dem or hope say dem go succeed? which one una dey? In 2019 someone like me no go mind vote for Rochas as president BUT I am sure many Ndigbos will sabotage my willingness to trust them. That is if they dont sabotage his ambitions to start with. Nigeria can be better IF all of us believe in it.

End of demands.

As you can see, our demands are not about politics, appointments, or materially and financially demanding from you. All our demands have to do with YOUR state of mind as members of this country.

Thank you. God bless Nigeria and every Nigerian in equal measure.

May we continue to tolerate and love one another and to love our country.

Say No to Xenophobia, IgboPhobia and NigeriaPhobia.

on behalf of NdiNigerians.

I think people still do not understand the geo-political zones,For Godsake there is a difference between south east and south south...Jonathan is from the south south not south east
So? I understand perfectly. Is Jonathan not one of your own? After all, there is 'Azikwe' in his names. Or do you mean to say Jonathan used 'Azikwe' just to fool the Ndigbos? smiley That aside, the SE voted massively for Jonathan... invariably the SE voted for continuity of failed promises, corruption and cluelessness. Yet, they make demands (shamelessly) from Buhari they didn't vote forsad

thank you for this intelligent and uninsultive reply, yes you are right in alot you said, let me try my best to reply in kind.
1. yes numerous faceless so called igbo groups have come up claiming to represent the Igbo interests, such is to be found in a democracy as its the undeniable right of every human being to say what ever they wish, but do you know why this is happening amongst the Igbos mostly? its because there is no claer Igbo leader hence when theres a vacuum all manner of thrash will flood to fill it. But alas, speak to your average Igbo man and woman on the street, all he or she cares about is moving Nigeria forward as a nation.

2, Niaraland is palying an active role in inciting tribal hate, why i and alot of people have this opinion? because if you carefully look at how the modds seem to indirectly encourage these fights to either boot traffic or whatever selfish reasons they may have i don't know, but its sad .

3. I love every tribe though we are all immensely flawed as humans but in our diversity dos Nigerians greatest strength lie.

4. if i didnt answer all your questions please forgive me, i am at work and one of my team members has pissed me off so i might be about to fire someone angry
Lolz... I agree with your #2 but I'd like to point out the bolded as the root cause of the incessant bashing on the Igbos. I wouldn't say they're not organized but I'd recommend that the Igbos take a cue from the leadership style of the North (Arewa Northern Forum) and the Yorubas (the Afenifere even though they're factionalized all thanks to the PDP and the APC). A voice is always stronger than many voices because several voices would only result to noise and the main point may not be driven home. A voice, however, would resound and resonate stronger. Some here have branded the Igbos as "ultimatum givers" as a result of the several groups claiming to be the main group.

Like I earlier mentioned, Nairaland is only a forum and I don't think it will stop being so as most of us trust it than any news source. Unfortunately, the tribalistic aspect of it all is most tiring and nerve breaking. I told a friend about this yesterday and it sometimes discourage me from coming on to Nairaland. Lolz, @ your #4, please don't fire anyone smiley

I think you are really silly. When the Igbos voted massively for Obasanjo two times why didn't you say we voted out of hatred? When the Igbos voted massively for Yar Adua why didn't you say we voted out of hatred? The NW & NE voted massively for Buhari why have you not accused them of voting out of hatred? Why have you chosen to single out the Igbo for venting your frustration?
election was massively rigged in every region since 1999 and no major opposition party.. Even if ibos didn't vote any of those mentioned, they would still win massively in that region.
This 2015 election shows nothing but how bigoted the ibos are... Deal with it.

The APC should do an introspection to find out why the planned merger with APGA failed. Did they meet the wrong people? Were they diplomatic in their approach? What was the terms of agreement? And so on. It is only then that the APC should know why the merger failed and try to improve upon it. This was what was done when the initial planned merger between ACN and CPC didn't pull through.

APC shouldn't play the tribal card you are suggesting lest it will crumble. Just my humble advice.

Even while I admit wholeheartedly that Igbos have no love for Buhari I still think it is within anybody's purview to demand advantages from the President especially where it doesn't affect other people adversely.

Then the first step to doing that is with your votes and not the other way round

Do you think the romance between the hausa's and the yoruba's will last forever? Buhari needs a bargaining chip by securing the loyalty of the Igbos so that he cannot be blackmailed by any tribal group when the next elections approaches. In politics, you don't underestimate anyone. Don't underestimate the relevance of the Igbos in this present political dispensation. Do that at your own peril.

The only people that underestimated the relevance of the Igbos in this present political dispensations are the Igbos themselves. While others were planning and calling all well meaning people on board for a change in the abysmal status quo, the Igbos clung to it like leeche...

DO YOU THINK IF EVERY NAIRALANDER WENT HUNTING FOR USELESS POSTS BY YORUBA AND HAUSA GROUPS THEY WOULDNT FIND THEM? BUT INSTEAD NAIRALAND.COM SEEMS TO ENCOURAGE TRIBAL HATE AGAINST SOME TRIBES BY CONTINOUSLY POSTING TOPICS THAT MAKE SOME TRIBES LOOK SELFISH WHERE AS THIS IS NOT THE CASE.. WAS IT NOT THE OPC LEADER THAT STOOP VEHEMENTLY BEHIND GEJ? YET YOU HAVE TOTALLY IGNORED ALL THE RUBBISH HE HAS BEEN SAYING EVEN AFTER BUHARI WON, TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE ALL YORUBAS SUPPORTED BUHARI?!!!!!! I KNOW HOW MANY IGBO GROUPS SUPPORTED THE APC, ONLY NAIRALAND SEEMED TP NEVER REPORT OR POST ANYTHING ON THIS GROUPS INSTEAD YOU POSTED HOW IGBOS ARE PRO GEJ!!! HOW IGBOS RIGGRD FOR GEJ, NAIRALAND REFUSED TO POST ANYTHING ON THE IGBOS WHO WORKED FOR OR SUPPORTED AMBODE INSTEAD YOU ONLY POSTED HOW THE OBA THREATENED IGBOS ALL TO INCITE IGBOS FURTHER, IF NAIRALAND CONTINUES TO BE USED AS A TOOL TO FUEL INTER TRIBAL CONFLICT TRUST WHEN I SAY STEPS CAN BE TAKEN TO SHUT NAIRALAND DOWN PERMANENTLY!!!
DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT TREASON IS??!!!! NAIRALAND.COM IS INCITING INTER TRIBAL CONFLICT WITH THESE CLEARLY EMOTIONALLY MANIPULATIVE POSTSAND I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THIS WEBSITE SINCE 2005 AND SEEN THE TREND OVER THE LAST DECADE, AND YES I AM SAYING THIS WITH A FACT MR OSEWA, YOUR WEBSITE IS BORDERING ON TREASON!!!! I am sure you are one of the people that didn't see anything wrong with AIT and NTA airing all those hate videos against Buhari and Tinunbu, and now you are here making noise about Nairaland REPORTING NEWS? Nairaland mods are not biased; they bring post that are pro APC and pro PDP to the front page equally, you are the one that only notices one.

No it isn't. If Buhari and APC are wise politicians, they should strive to win the love of the SE region. This way APC will have a national appeal and not an ethnic party (yoruba+hausa party) appeal that it is at the moment..
The South East said no regret voting against Buhari, now they are demanding(not even requesting?). Whether they are appeased or not, their votes are insignificant to APC winning charm.

if u understand what democracy is,u will not make this comment.by nature, humans cannot think the same way hence the diversities.the Yorubas has been in oppostion even in the days of action group down to the AD etc and nobody killed them for been different.on the contrary, the people of the south east has always forged alliance with the the north, the ncnc alliance that produced zik and balewa, ekwueme and shagari.history is there no matter how u want to disparage the ibos.everybody cannot belong to the same camp and there is nothing shameful about that.I strongly take exemption from such statement.a one party state is a breeding ground for dictatorship and u and I will not want nigeria to be a dictatorial state.opposition must be encouraged if we truly want democracy to grow.enough of insulting a people for expressing their wish
