Brov, What proof are you talking about? You know these cyber cafe companies doesn't issue employment offer/pay slibs when there employee are not up to 20 individual. What other proof do you think I can get from them? Most of the people I know way back then aint there no more and the company has reduced to almost 2 employee. So there is nothing much those two new people could do. But I am still thinking of what to do. More advice from peeps is appreciated.

Since you used to work with them, go there ask for a recomendation letter stating that u worked for them from so so date to whenever.

Hi great people....please I was discussing with a few people and I learnt that applying for a study permit from a country that isn't Ur home country has dire consequences. Especially countries considered as developing

I am currently in Ukraine..been here as a student for almost 4 years....I applied to two Canadian universities and I have gotten conditional admission to mun...waiting for Regina.

My bachelor's degree will be out in June ...20th to be precise...where upon I hope to get the unconditional acceptance from any of the schools. Because of time and the financial burden of traveling back to Nigeria ...I would want to apply here in Ukraine via online route as was adviced on this forum in the past.

But today's discussion put some fear in me..as it bordered on those who have tried in the past and had been denied...I know that it is unique to them..But my people...is there a way around this...what loopholes should I cover..to avoid discriminate refusal based on the fact that I am applying from another country...please help..

Snappyfingaz:
1st Application
Applied: 27th April
Biometrics: 9th May
Refused: 15th May
Reasons: Purpose of visit, length of proposed stay, financial and personal assets and current employment situation.

Docs Submitted: Sponsor SOA (Salary Acct M30+, dorm account $120+k),
Sponsor letter and letter from sponsor's employer. NO SOP.

2nd Application
Applied: 3rd October
Biometrics: 9th October
Med Call: 28th November
Med Done: 3rd December
Passport Request: 8th December.

Docs Submitted:

*Sponsor SOA for 6months (salary acct. 40+M, dorm acct $120+K)
*Sponsor letter and letter from sponsor's employer
*My four months SOA (500+K)
*Letter of introduction and study leave letters from my employer
*SOP (clearly detailing why I chose to study in Canada and at the University of Regina and my plans to return to Naija upon graduation.

This is all. Note that none of my documents were notarized. If someone agrees to sponsor you and puts it in writing with his contact details clearly stated I see no reason for all that. Sponsor meanwhile is my maternal uncle with different surname. Thanks everyone. If any questions, I'll do well to answer them. May part 7 be better and sweeter than part 6. God bless everyone.
Wud say am in a similar shoe.......my maternal uncle is my sponsor and also my employer....got admitted @ U of R
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by ahyotomiwa: 2:47pm On Apr 26, 2015

What did you find out?

my challenge was clearly stated....I'm in the dark as to if there are negative consequences to applying from Ukraine....rather than my home country. I was told that a majority of Nigerians who applied in the past had been denied...
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by kfrosh: 3:26pm On Apr 26, 2015
No option for graduate certificate only 'College - Certificate' which is lower in hierarchy; those that have gone tru this process should please respond. Thinking of taking the option 'Others' but want to be sure first.

You still havent answered my question.
'Majority' of Nigerians who applied were denied, fine. But why were they denied? what reasons were given? Unless you know for a certain how they package their application and the specifics of each of those cases you really cannot over generalise.

way back in part 4 or 5 someone applied from the US i think GboyegaD and another guy applied from the UK. It's a different case if you have a visitor's visa. I think people with students' visa are treated differently.

If you're going for a PGD, you should choose "Graduate". It should be on the list.

you can submit your passport like that, they are gonna give you maybe 9months visa, when you get over here, you can renew your passport at due time and update your visa.. its no problem at all. very best

Hello House,

I got my admission offer. And I have one year left on the international passport.

Thus, this is my question.

Can I still go ahead and submit my application for TRV.

Eventually, I believe and pray my application shall be successful.

My concern is Canada 2 years study permit and I have one year on the passport.

Pls house, as anyone been in this situation before. So as to know what I should do

Advice needed.

Ok thanks but student jobs should not be so hard to get then, tuition over there is really cheap though considering going over there to take another 1 year program...
