Hello my real people in here

Anotha Advice needed plz:

Planning to go to d USA this time. I have travel history; had traveled to india 3 times for business, once to UK(visit), Egypt(study), Kenya(tour) and Ethiopia(transit but stamped in and out). Have 2 unused visas n 2 refusal stamps

Not married. About 780k naira balance in savings acc at the moment.
I own a registered business. Don't know any one in the USA. Now I plan to visit the US for Business tourism/attending an expo; basically I want to go there to interact and make contacts with some companies I had contacted b4 via online, my intention is to make future export business deals with those companies of their products.

My question now is can I just book a hotel reservation in the same city where those companies are (same city where the expo is taking place) use it as my point of contact in USA and tell the VO my intentions even though no official invitation from the companies and do u think my reason for going hold any water since no IV's from those companies. Also d expo is happening in d same city where all d companies are and what I deal in is related with what the companies offer..n d expo

Any piece of Advice on this..Thanks in anticipation

Yes an Hotel Reservation address can be used as point of contact in lieu of IV. Often the ECO don't look at your documents, they usually base their decision on what you filled in DS160 form and your response to their questions and deposition during the interview. Good Luck.

Hello guys,I'm filling the ds160 form..my brother is inviting me,she's a citizen.there's a section that asks if either of your parents is in d US;my mom is,and she's a green card holder. I don't know if saying yes will have a negative effect on my application, pls make una help..

My advise. Be honest and disclose that your mother is green card holder living in the US. The trouble will be if your mother went to the US on a non-immigrant visa and was helped by your siblings to acquire a green card. This may count against you, as it would be seen that you also want to use the same route. Otherwise you have nothing to fear, so far you can prove that you have a strong tie (Working, properties married, kids etc) in Nigeria during the interview.

.

No problem. Just send an email to the embassy quoting your DS160 number, and explaining that you're changing you date of arrival into the US, from June to July as you are unable to get an earlier interview appointment. Print the new hotel reservation, and take it along with you for the interview, in case they may ask.

Take a taxi/bus to Oshodi. From Oshodi join another bus going to mile 2 and stop close to Ladipo spare part bus stop. Ask for directions to DHL house. It's just a stone throw from that point.

Me and my wife now has valid visas to the USA but in the future if we want to apply for our kids (minor kids) ages 4 and 2, are they going to pass thro the same procedure of ds-160 filling and interview?
I am just asking in case of the future if we want to travel with them later. Already me and their mom has valid visas

how long have you been on the job, how much do you earn, what does your wife do? Do you have any other business? Do you have travel history outside Nigeria?

I have been on the job for two years now and earn 180k/monthly. My wife is job hunting, while at that , she runs a business as an automobile reseller. I do not have any other business and no travel history outside Nigeria.

Should we try visiting other countries like UAE, any European country or African countries you mean?
Kindly specify.
Many thanks.

my sincere appreciation to fredoricko, shinejackie, LadyGuinivere and chloe7 on your responses, I have been out of town with little or no good data service around me. @LadyGuinivere, i really want to agree with you that is an issue of over trust, i sincerely do not trust what my so called cousin would have told the UK board agent like you said. @chloe7 even though most times the they've (UKBA ) already made up their mind once you a nigerian that you will want to outsmart them, forgetting that every nigerian have their own individual travel differences, i will make another trial to US again with my wife and daughter soon for summer. @prof i am likely to be in Kenya for two weeks on an official assignment, i am just trying to work things out with my MD for my family to come along with me, after which i will apply. I definitely will be back here to share the experience again.

You just said what I wanted to say, with lack of travel history and depending on the v.o you meet, I think you should try visit some countries first before going to the u.s embassy and also you can give it a trial because there is no harm in trying, your job and family is a tie to establish your domicile
