Ishilove this was supposed to be a reply to your comment to borrusia on your use of a power bank because of the erratic power supply and lingering fuel scarcity in the country. But after typing an epistle like reply, I thought I should rather convert it to a thread and hear different views about the situation. Talking about the use of a power bank, mine that was designed to charge my phone for approximately 5 times is already experiencing bankruptcy. By the time I eventually post this, I probably won't be online to read comments.  The looming fuel scarcity has put frustration in the hearts of many Nigerians. Who ever thought it would get to a point where we would purchase kerosene on the black market. Just a few hours ago some guys angrily killed a dog by smashing blocks on it at a filling station close to my place. They claimed the dog had bit one of them which I am certain isn't really the cause of such brutal and barbaric act. Most of them have been queueing under the heavy down pour as early as 5am today, only for the fuel station to stop selling before they could purchase. I guess the dog strayed by walking into the midst of very angry men who decided to vent all their frustration on the poor creature. With the way things are going I just hope people don't start getting extremely violent. These days everyone is so touchy, some even bring the frustration to NL. This is the wrong time to accidentally step on a stranger. You might be given a very hot factory reset slap.  Reminds me of some days back when I was alighting from a BRT bus and my hand accidentally hit an elderly man. Omo!!! the man just wipe me better slap for back. The pain was out of this world. The man literally used all the strength he had to inflict pain on me. I just held myself together, smiled and told the man that I was sorry and that I didn't do it on purpose. Can't blame him though, the old man was standing in the bus, with the hot weather and traffic not making the situation seemingly easy to bear. PHCN on the other hand have chosen the wrongest time to be highly ineffective. The power situation in most parts of the country has been completely epileptic. I keep wondering what goes on in the mind of GMB. He definitely has a lot on his plate, more like 3 course delicacy of national issues that need immediate attention. Only hope he has a ravenous appetite for it. Someone should please find a magic wand for GMB. Wherever merlin is, we sure need him and all the magic we can conjure up to fix this madness. This is wat happens wen we spend all our time n energy playing, having sex, partying, watching ball, making babies,lazying around in jobs, being hypocrites etc. Rather than being a serious nation, thinking of alternative means of power creation and solve other problems. Kinglekan, I have spent N25,000 on fuel alone these few weeks, I am not happy at all in fact I am so sad. Yesterday when we were buying fuel, the grossly ugly petrol attendant was throwing her usual tantrums, the thing pain me ehn. As for PHE I.e port Harcourt electric company, they are trying for us here in Cross River and Akwa Ibom. Thesonofmark can testify to that, it's just the fuel that's our problem. I don't know how this crisis will be resolved, but out of desperation I have joined the bandwagon of folks who feel that after May 29, the incorruptible General will wave his magic wand and fix all the problems  I just want to give myself hope That said, Thunder will kiss the nyash of the Frog eyed Minister  21 Likes 2 Shares |

Oga KingTom I couldn't agree more with the magic wand ooo. Fair enough PHE has been reasonable in that part. TheSonofMark also attested to that. Most parts of lagos the Madness is at its zenith. Complete dark out as though we are experiencing an apocalypse. Radio stations shutting down to conserve fuel, airlines cancelling flights, cost of transportation sky rocketing per second, fights breaking out every now and then. *sniffs* That was how my cousin was jejely standing at the bus stop, only for a very frustrated dude to walk up to him, hit him on his chest saying "Mo le pa yan!! - I can kill somebody o". Is this what fuel scarcity can cause? *sniffs some more* I had to manage one litre of petrol to pump water last night. You needed to have seen how I tilted the generator. #GMBNowThatYouAreThere. Its going to get worse before it gets better. Even if every petrol station in Lagos and Abj were to get 2 tankers each with a full supply of product, the demand backlog will take at least 3 to 4 days to clear. Hmmm good article Alright vent commenceth. Fuel wise...there is no fuel in the nation's capital today. Except at NNPC station...where the queue is nightmarish. As I said earlier....I guess I may have to walk to work from tomorrow...just to conserve the fuel. I am not happy, i am very sad, and yes...I blame the government. In six years we did not fix the refineries and we did not build new ones. Abuja does not have an effective public transport system that might have taken the edge off the crisis. And our economy is so oil dependent now that the minute oil prices drop...we get broke. I know that this will get me some knocks...but all those PDPians who come here and accuse those of us who blame the govt for the current crisis of not being grateful enough for the ''good things government has done'' should please go home and rest. Everything is not okay, and blaming others for the mess on ground is the best way to make people upset with you. Indeed it is very upsetting to be called all sorts of names just because you protest the continued suffering in this country. This has gone on for too long enough....and it has got to stop. Right now...all Buhari needs to do is focus on power,fixing the fuel supply, and public transport. Everything else can take care of themselves. Period. And if I hear any APC supporter come around after may 29 and do the same thing some PDP supporters do...blame others...I am going to get really really upset again. Seriously is nt funny Again, I saw a guy buying 10liters of petrol at 5k, I almost cry. I couldn't watch Cheslsea match now all because their is no lite and d guy football house says he cannot buy just 10liters of petrol at 5k that it will nt make any profit......For the first tym in my street last nyt, no single sound of generator, the whole street slept in darkness.....Which way Nigeria? 5 Likes 2 Shares |
