@ pazienza, I understand fully well what is happening but honestly, I will attribute it to the way Nigeria was formed. If we leave together, our constitution would try to correct a lot of things. With the rule of law being our guiding principle, I don't think we will have much to worry about. The very core of a nation would be enshrined in our constitution: Absolute resource control Equality in the national assembly Freedom of movement Right to vote and be voted for Citizenship of regions by birth These are obtainable in every sane nation. We don't need no one to rally around us, everyone should carry themselves. |

pazienza: Im trying to paint the picture as it is. Beacause the Igbos, collectively, haven't laid to rest the ghost of the biafran struggle after over 30yrs, many view as insincere the aspirations of any Igbo to become Nigerias president. Igbos should give other Nigerians a reason to trust them..and if they must choose Biafra over Nigeria, its best they go it alone and leave uninterested minorities out of it..Simple I dnt know what u meant by blowing my cover...Im a full blooded Ikwerre guy, if ure interested in coming to PH to confront me, u are most welcome. 2 Likes |

HopeAtHand: Well, I think it's the other way round. Nigerians need to give Ndiigbo a reason to ever trust them and their one Nigerian Project. No group has shown more interest and invested more in the Nigerian project than Ndiigbo. We have been in the business of investing in all parts of Nigeria, something other Nigerian groups don't do. And we have been on the forefront of justice equity and fairness for all Nigerian groups, including offering solutions to the Nigerian nation hood project, like Ohanaeze Ndiigbo did in that article I quoted. No other Nigerian group has offered such a well detailed solutions to the Nigerian conundrum. 5 Likes 1 Share |

lygn19: GEJ was and remains a better presidential material than Buhari. Tomorrow, GEJ will hand over the baton to Buhari peacefully, giving the Zoo a chance of survival, would Buhari have done the same if the positions are reversed? GEJ gave up his selfish ambitions to allow Nigeria's nascent democracy to thrive, Buhari was part of a gang that killed Nigeria's nascent democracy in early 80's. You can't be comparing sleep and death, the odour from the dead is a give away. Of course, GEJ is not the best man to lead Nigeria, but between him and Buhari, only a blind man can't see the difference. 9 Likes 1 Share |

pazienza: Before the 1967 coup, Nigeria ran a system where each region were in control of its resources to a reasonable extent. The Igbo young gunz killed the parliamentary system and Ironsi, yet anoda Igbo, created this unified Federal system. Now, the system which the Igbos unwittingly foisted on Nigeria is what, after 30yrs, has taken us to the roundtable to discuss, with no clear headway. You see exactly what that rash action has brought to the people of old eastern region...That is why u shouldn't be too fast. The igbos should atleast try to remedy the situation and not to chicken out of the federation because they is being bullied by their mates. Looool@zoological country..well, ex-presido Jonathan was a zoologisf and his government was an Igbo government. 5 Likes |

HopeAtHand: Ironsi wasn't the one who dissolved the regions and their autonomy, he merely united the federal civil service. It was Gowon and Awo that dissolved the regions and created dysfunctional entities called states. It wasn't the Igbo man that cancelled the 50-50 sharing formula between the owners of resources and the FG, It wasn't the Igboman that created the Land use decree that stole the resource rich lands of ND and made it bonanza party for all Nigerian groups, especially the Arewa-Odua. But I have never seen you utter any anti Yoruba or Northern words on this forum, you remain innately Igbophobic, your veneer is wearing thin bro. Are you sure you are not from the lands west of Ikalands, you now sound exactly like them, your veneer is wearing off fast and furious, better answer your father's name now. An anti GEJ SS commoner? And oh, just like Ohanaeze is offering the Zoo an escape route, just like Ojukwu did with Aburi accord. How exactly was GEJ government an Igbo government? The VP, Senate president, house of rep speaker, Attorney General of the federation, were non Igbos, even GEJ is non Igbo. GEJ didn't do anything for us(Ndiigbo) that he didn't do for the rest of the country, the only difference is that the little he did, we appreciated, cos he was the first Nigerian president after the war that carried Ndiigbo along in all aspects of governance, he didn't treat us with preference, he merely showed us equity, apparently Nigerians are used to Igbophobia, so much that any attempt to bring equity to Ndiigbo like GEJ did is frowned upon. The very idea of GEJ government being pro Igbo is but another false propaganda that has no merit and fades away when subjected under the fire of truth. 9 Likes 1 Share |
