Na today we De here asset declaration. Plse these are just formalities it does not have any effect on d person doing it. For example does any one dispute whatever assets same person must have caiquired after leaving office? What can any one do to any hidden assets undeclared? You can only do something on what you know and not on what you don't know . I don't believe in its efficacy.

People are really ignorant of CCB law!! who said their is 30 days verification process before it is made publichuh why won't some people stop misleading others?

The law of CCB is that within 30 days of receipt of asset declaration form, the person has to return it. All the immediate past public officers are already given the form and within 30 days they must present it. Already 2 ministers have completed and returned theirs.

If Buhari is waiting for the so called verification process, Garba Shehu would have made reference to that in his statement.. rather he said that anybody who want it should apply to CCB through FOI which was not what Buhari promised!

You are epitome of hypocrisy!! GEJ never promised to make his assets declaration public, yet you half-brain mofos vilified him but at the same time want us to start singing the praise of Buhari who is actually reneging on his promise.

The people are not asking for the official definition of public, what the people asking is that you publish the assets in the media for them to see. Democracy they say is a government of the people, the people are saying you show them declaration and not definition simple.

Though it is needed that Nigerians be patient and follow the guide lines.

Sometime tells me that, you are more intelligent than your comment is letting out to be.

And that, you clearly saw the intellectual dishonesty in that useless explainations.

The constitution of Nigeria, chaper VI, section 142, makes it is binding requirement for all elected Presidents to declare their assets to CCB upon assumption of office and further states that, they cannot perform the duties of that office, until it is done.

Are you saying PMB was been dishonesty when he said, he will publicly declare his assets, when what he actually intend to do was the bear minimum and binding requirements of the law, without which cannot legally carry out his duties as President? The very same act that, every single elected President and Vice has done before him without promise and fanfare?

I truly believe, PMB will publicly declare his assets, it is just too early, he did that without prompting before running, so knows what it means by publicly declaring one asset, because he has done that before.

Don't mind people peddling sophistry. Buhari should make his assets public, anything else is story.

Yar'Adua published his assets and liability.
Fayemi published his assets and liability.

Buhari won't be the first, so we know what's meant by public declaration of assets.

What is this obfuscation that people don't understand what is meant by public declaration assets?

Expecting Buhari and Osunbade to truthfully declare all their assets is like expecting a pot-bellied man to do a successful back-flip. Its against the laws of physics. He borrowed to pay for nomination form, while the wife donated about $1m worth of items. If you subject Buhari's truth through a prism, on the other end what comes out are rays of white lies, black lies, mistruths, maltruths, distruths. Anything more than 150 cows will be questionable.

I think, the general himself will disagree with you on that.

That is what he ran upon, that were his own words, he is a responsible man. All responsible men expects their words and promises to mean something and they actually wants and expects to be held accountable for their words.

You are not doing anyone, including PMB a favor here. If Nigerians wanted the statuesque, they would not have gone out en masse to voted forchange, don't call them stupid.

Not true, Asset declaration to CCB is constitutional and mandentory before any elected public officer can legally function as elected....I didn't the rule, it is in the constitution and every single past elected President and VP has done that, without it any law they sign or anything they do is illegal, hence they are mandated to do it within 30 days.

As for declaration of assets. I beleive that after some time (verification & documentation), the freedom of information bill already in law would allow Nigerians to request for that information and it MUST be made available for all to know.

Failure to release those documents would among to breach of law and a case in court...
What's the stress? We all know these two are clean nah.
