The law about underage molestation HAS NOT CHANGED...IT IS STILL ILLEGAL TO MOLEST AN UNDER 18 YEAR OLD.

What the law says is that if the underaged child is below 11 years old....the punishment becomes tougher!

1.The law does not change the age of consent. You would have gotten the first clue about that from the fact that the sponsor was Sen Chris Anyanwu.

2.The law about molesting underaged kids under 18 is still THERE. The age of consent is still 18.

3.What the law does is magnify the punishment for the offender if the child is under 11 years of age.

Read the quote below.Did it say anything about changing consent from 18 to 11 years...?

She said the bill had mandated the storing of names of sexual offenders in database for institutional and social discrimination.
