I've had instances where female friends of mine passed the night in my place. There was this particular one that was almost regular. We go to read together at night and when we're done, her hostel is already locked by then. So, she has to pass the night in my room.

There's all the wrong and right reasons to be friends with the opposite sex! It all boils down to the individual's understanding or perception of the relationship in question.
Whilst a lotta ppl think its practically impossible to remain "platonic" as friends with the opposite sex because its like being a butcher and keeping a chicken as a pet (cos u'll eventually eat it!), some think its safer as they (d opp sex dt is) tend to show a more "interesting" side as compared to folks of d same gender. I for one often get caught up in between and for all d wrong reasons I sleep with them and it goes..well, u knw d rest of d story.
However, with a great deal of objectivity you can decide what you want out of a relationship. If you like a person enof to be a Bff, fine. But if you like a person jst a tad too much, it cld spell danger.
