In the tv show I believe it's Cersei but she didn't actually come out and say she did it, even when she and Jaime are alone she could have admitted but she didn't.

Seriously, It doesnt make sense for Jeoffrey to want to kill Bran. They had no beef whatsoever. But cersei or Jaimie is the most likely.

Arya Stark has to become "no one" to join the Faceless Men, but she really wants to kill Ser Meryn Trant. Arya believes the knight of the kingsguard killed Syrio Forel, her sword instructor, and wants to avenge his death. If she does, Jaqen H'ghar will know she is not ready and that could mean some consequences for Arya's apprenticeship.

The preview ends with Brienne and Pod looking ready for a fight. Sansa Stark is willing to risk everything if it means escaping the Boltons.

It's not Jaime, he would have mentioned it to Cersei . It's more likely it was Cersei and being the usual secretive schemer she didn't tell Jaime ....

or it was Joffrey out of spite and simply to show off.

Little finger may have done it to set up beef between Lannisters/Baratheons and Starks.

LF used it to further his plans, but he didnt send the assassin. Varys also played along. What kind of idiot sends an assassin using his own weapon.
