KOGI is very close to river Niger and benue..
If a country wants to end Nigeria all they have to do is cause the nuclear plant to leak in KOGI at least all the states in central Nigeria will be affected.

The two rivers will also be affected...

Akwa-ibom would destroy SS and most of its resources leaving a situation worse than oil spill..

In Lagos, they are building a refinery... If that one spills.. Lagos will bcom polluted..

Nuclear plants require great deal of technology, expertise and maintaince. If there is a slip, it can spell disaster of humongous proportions. Personally, i dont like a nuclear solution especially with our level of maintainance culture and meticulousness in handling stuff like this.

Nigeria is incapable to maintain anything and the present security situation is porous. Building Nuclear Power Plants in Nigeria is like giving a toddler a loaded machine gun to keep. It's very dangerous! We couldn't even maintain common oil refineries.

Corruption and lack of maintenance will render the Nuclear Power Plants useless and cause radiation leakage that will wipe out everyone in the vicinity of the Nuclear Power Plants, which means it can wipe out all humans and animals in a city and beyond.

Nigeria is not ripe yet to have something so dangerous. Don't allow government to built a Nuclear Power Plant in your city!!

Akwa ibom is already rich in gas able to power electricity. Why nt consider places like Oyo, Benue, kaduna, Kano, Kwara...
Afta much oil exploration on a site, there's the possibility of experiencing a great slump/depression. Did they consider this w.r.t. the safety....I'm sure some ppl there who know d implications must have collectd some Ghana-must-go b4 it was approved, while other ignorant ones are rejoicing...

This govt officials sef, imagine a country that havnt done anytin to reduce gas flaring for more than 50years of oil exploration, now talking abt going nuclear. The company will make all its money from building not running it. They will settle/loby our politicians to force this project to kick off.

We should be tallking of a refinery in this country and not this. If we cannot secure our gas pipeline why are we looking into something that will mess up our land for the next 20000 yrs .

Only 1500mw with all the risk. in 35yrs only 4000mw meanwhile the. company will be moving around the country with nuclear material. who knows they may even dump some spent rods in excuse of building a plant.

Just wondering why the Greek gift to Kogi and Akwa Ibom.

Why not site nuclear stations in Kano and Kaduna or Katsina? Those areas are typically favored in federal allocations and investment.
