One of the greatest problems of the average igbo man I've found is the "we contribute the most to the success of this country" when we are all too aware that is not the situation.

Nigeria is a country of many people , many tribes even within the SE many minority groups exist, and all have equally contributed, the last I checked while the Igbo are very enterprising the notion of enterprise is not unique to them , the top 5 employees of mass labour in the country are not Igbo owned, this false castigation of other Nigerians as lazy , lesser and unworthy is why the igbo community is not relevant because the collective might of the yoruba and Hausa can be used when they need it.

You can't self separate and expect equal treatment, you're either part of the team or alone

RUBBISH TALK!!

Biafrans are not cowards, today's generation of Biarans are more stubborn than their fathers;nothing will deter them from fighting for their freedom.

OP have you heared that there will be a mass DNA test in biafraland when biafra comes, once you fail it;you will be sent to sokoto or osogbo to search for ur father.

Good luck with your exclusionist country I hope you go far would you be sending the children of mixed heritage away aswell back to find their father's and mothers in Europe and America !

Biafra would be Zimbabwe before it even gets going , alone with no friends

I feel a deep sense of grief and bewilderment when I read a lot of misguided comments from my Igbo brothers with some calling for a violent secession from Nigeria. Most of the generation of people making these statement never witnessed the civil war. They did not see first hand the horrors of war. They did not experience the terrific impact of bombs or the loud ear splitting sounds of heavy artillery shells as the explode. Should I talk about the economic impact? How our people were reduced to paupers and had to start from the scratch. How beautiful daughters were forcefully torn from the warm embrace of their families and married off to leprous men in the North just to spite our people. Only a mentally deranged and prone to self destruction individual will ever in his life support a violent secession from Nigeria.

Our problem is not secession. Our problem is learning how to live with other tribes in harmony while doing our businesses. Our focus should be on how to build consensus across the nation for vital political interests.

I laugh heartliy when I see some misguided Niger Delta youths like barcanista and co trying to be clever by half by playing to our sense of entitlement. Speaking from both sides of the mouth about how our people are being pushed aside and marginalized.
Yet these are the same people that effectively sabotaged the Biafran struggle under Ojukwu. These are the same people that lead the enemy in through our backyards and betrayed their so called brothers. Now they have started a new song because their brother Jonathan who performed woefully was booted out by majority of Nigerians.

I want us to know sometime that is historical. The moment an attempt is made to secede, the I jaws will immediately turn their backs and negotiate us away to advance their interests. So we will end up alone fighting the whole of Nigeria and loosing again.

When the chips are down, we are always alone.

Another point to consider is that Nigeria has become too intergrated to break up. Almost every family has in laws across their tribe. How will that be handled?

Igbo are the most integrated people in Nigeria with business interests across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. Most of our people will become jobless or stay and be killed the moment a secession is declared.

Those who knew the truth will tell you that even inside Biafra there were still serious cases of tribalism and nepotism, even under the revered Ojukwu. That was why ahiara declaration became necessary to tackle these issues.

Finally, we are not ready militarily and would only be engaging in another massive waste of life if we insist on our ways.
So my people do not be deceived! Our best and only bet is to remain as law abiding citizens of Nigeria while doing our best to continue to be relevant in the scheme of things.
Ka Chineke mezie okwu.

that's what people refused to understand...violent secession can't benefit the ibos,we are so much integrated in Nigeria that we are left with no choice than to live as one...if we knew our history, all ibos would agree with me that violence cnt solve our problem, last time we tried it,we lost our fathers, mothers, siblings n families to the violence, and I wouldn't want to mention the economic impact it had on us,we started from scratch once again and here again some elements are calling for the repetition of history, they say its only when a fly perches on the testicles that you'l know that there's always a non-violent way to approach any situation.let peace reign..long live Nigeria...one Nigeria.....NB:when these war mongers sound the drum of war, they'l all travel out of the country with their families and the masses will do the killings and be killed..ibos......wake up!!Biafra is a failed project....igbo enwe eze....even in the biafran civil war, they were crisis within, sabotage and mostly undisciplined.....Long live the Igbos...we are stuck2geda..

Chairman, with the way Nigeria is going, resource control is the last thing Hausa Fulani dominated house will discuss and say Aye on.
You guys have been shouting RControl for a very long time, GEJ came and went and same thing. PIB was recently rubbished.

Like I reasoned one Okrika guy recently who was shouting against Biafra and shouting Resource Control, Nigeria can't grant us that shit, remember where I am from in Abia, we have oil too.

I just told him this, "azotaacha ala, azowa ute" - which in Igbo means, kill for the land space, later u can fight for the mat, which invariably means, why would u want resource control only, when u can wage a war against those who the govt, usurp them and win collectively, have the whole resources and even if u used it to cook oil soup, no one will care.
It really is a simple logic tho.
GEJ was chasing shadows with the freak shows that made up his cabinet...GEJ lost it completely does not mean the fight for resource control cant be achieved...we would push for it like never before...seperate the country them no gree, oya come to terms with resource control no way too..why should we be in this useless trap called nigeria...the north wont exploit its solid minerals so that the country can be diversified thereby creating enough jobs for the populace nationwide and also revenue...

Because of oil we cant seperate...

The gbege wey we dey avoid for this country go still burst because we cant continue like this forever...

Gathering a handful of misguided clowns is good business for Nnamdi Kanu but actually shows how easily decieved and gullible some of our people are.

Why not go their and ask them your opinion personally.

Talk to Biafran Prince about videos from their visit to Cross River and Akwa Ibom, you will be shocked ur opinion is really faulty.

Thing is that you don't know what IPOB is doing tho.

OK, please make some corrections from the things u said lemme learn.
Dats how u ppl said igbos declared war on Nigeria, y d reverse was d case.
Dats how u ppl said igbos only wanted d southsouth(eadtern southsouth i.e rivers state, Akwa ibom and Cross rivers) because of oil, while d main reason was because when Ojukwu declared Biafra he did it because they were part if d Eastern region and dat was d region dat was under his command.
You people say Igbo's forced other d ppl of southsouth to be part of Biafra yet the second in command as at then was a southsouth man in d person of Philip effiong.
You people said igbos hv expansionist tendencies yet despite how small d whole eastern region is, and other factors igbos didn't fight any recorded single war with any minority group over intention to tk der land.
You people say if Biafra kicked off igbos wud force der culture on minority groups yet King Jaja of opobo was of igbo origin, yet wen he became a king in Ijaw land of Opobo he treated dem as his own, and the land as his own so much dat he fought d ppl hinterland dat were likely his kins.
D list goes on.u are d one lieing to urself.

If Nigeria is too integrated then what would you say of soviet union. Biafra suffered crushing defeat in the hands of soviet union and Britain and Egypt ,nigeria alone could not do much.

My advice really is not for break up though but igbos need to be smarter and mor intelligent particularly when dealing with their vultures neighbour.
nigeria defeated biafra, israel and france together, do your research well.

Nigeria is a british fraud and can never grow is not a cause but British programming with all the tribes fighing each other on who we will steal more it is better to let the indigenous people to go but because Britain are the owner of the creation and that is hhiw they want it, that is why someone like BABA ONE CHANCE can emerge our leader in 21st century and we are expecting undustralized nigeria or zoo SHAME!!!!!!

Let Biafra go so that the following will happen: reduced death due to fake drugs, reduction in mad men due to hard drugs, reduction in armed robbery by 90 percent, 55 percent reduction in Prostitution, 75 percent reduction in cannibalism and kidnapping, another round of problems with SS because of oil as biafraudians will wanna dominate Ssners, free space to move in oodualand etc.

secession and biafra can not be used interchangably.
A SS community that has been deprived of their farmland and water they used for Agriculture because of oil spillage and still have nothing to show for it, would want a situation where they get 100% derivation of the oil being drilled out of their land (as obtainable in texas, Usa. The wealth is only distributed by trade), the confab sought to address the anomaly but people from the north and sw squashed it.
Leave Biafra out, this community will dive at any chance of self-determination and secede.

When you become Biafra those leaders would still remain and your problems would be more specialised but ever present.

I said building consensus across the nation for POLITICAL INTERESTS. My point is , If we want the presidency, we should reach out for support to other tribes. All this unecessary bickering with other tribes affects us negatively.

How long do you think we should continue reaching out? You guys have made it perpetually impossible for d igbos to attain dat office by your skewed census figures over the years. Keep your presidency cos you don't trust d igbo enough to let them get there.
GEJ was perceived to be igbo and was attacked and bombarded to submission. How much more an igbo man?
You will understand this only when you have an instance where a less qualified and competent person is made to head you who is better experienced and qualified. Until then.........
