Why don't they just go to Biafra with their market? It is called Ladipo market, a Yoruba name, owned by Owoyemi family + Mushin LG = Yorubaland. Must Ibos dies on another man's property?

dull brain! Is Igbos the only tribe in Ladipo? If we leave Lagos, it will become empty.. Who you help? Nairaland toothless bull dog. What do you know?

I follow @Madamoringo and she can be somewhat overzealous sometimes about her fondness of her people and her pride for her heritage. But sentiments aside, then there are arguments and/or facts that she presents, and that's what we should look at. You have presented yours too and Ibos aren't the only tribe in Ladipo = indisputable fact, but then to say Lagos will be empty if ibos leave is absolutely laughable and nonsensical. Lagos is too industrialized to become "emptied" by the exodus of ibos, if and whenever that happens. The so-called "vacuum" will be filled instantaneously, in fact nobody will notice the ibos left. This is the fact, so don't get in way over your head. Lagos will always thrive with or without the Ibos. Nigeria needs the ibos and ibos need Nigeria; but Lagos doesn't need the ibos, it is the ibos who need Lagos. The ibos didn't build Lagos, rather the ibos built themselves in Lagos, and through Lagos. This is reality!

I must admit the Igbo community in Lagos have not been diplomatic when dealing with their yoruba "hosts", inflammatory language and going up against an incumbent party and a king is always a bad idea. They teased the bull, they are getting the horns.

Still any treatment which is unfair must be seen as just that , unfair

Let's leave all sentiments aside. The issue is very simple, did the government give them enough time before eviction? Was the notice documented? If the answer is yes then there's no case. Tejuosho and other markets have been demolished and this one will not be different. This is not about Yorubaland or Igbo business this is about the filthy and unsafe environment called Ladipo market.
that market is so dirty, i wonder how people work and eat in such filth! That market need some serious clean up and order.

Ibos have been bowing like the slaves they are to the north fro time immemorial. Zik bowed down to Balewa, Ekwuemme to Shagari, Nzeribe to IBB, Daniel Kan to Abacha.

You have now taken your slavery too a new low by bowing to the Ijaws.

Ibos hustles and we know that. The hustling of baby factory, kidnapping, armed robbery, okija killings, ezzu river killings, fake drugs, fake products, prostitution, drug trafficking etc readily comes to mind as part of your well documented hustling.

Does Ladipo resemble Ariara market?
Little boy. Do not start what you can't finish. We have your failed political records with us. So check well before playing the ethnic card because you will be badly battered on this one.

And despite the fact that Gwaris are minorities........ they still have their rights on their lands.
FGN evicted a lot of them to make way for the construction of Abuja city center.... Nobody was evicted in lagos metropolis.
Lagos was once Nigeria's capital, but the capital "city" was just limited to Lagos Island, and parts of VI & Ikoyi....not all of lagos state. .... mind you, even that Lagos island is still Isale Eko, one of the most historic parts of the lagos metropolis, where the palace of the Oba himself is.
They forgot that the old western region headed by awo was from yaba, all Lagos mainland down to asaba province boundary from old of the old bendel now today Edo and Delta .most of them are not student of history and not knowledgeable enough with the right information.
