Obiano Inspects Ongoing Work At The 2nd Niger Bridge by abagoro(op): 9:53am On Jul 16, 2015

Governor Obiano has urged Julius Berger plc, the firm handling the construction of the second Niger bridge to expedite action in order to meet the time schedule for the project.Governor Obiano made the statement while inspecting work on the bridge at the Onitsha industrial layout end of the site. He expressed happiness that work has actually commenced at the site contrary to speculation that nothing is happening at the site.

Just like EFCC, Power, Refineries and other sectors expect the bridge to be constructed without being politicised. Also expect some people to claim it.

That is why I was one of those that fought hard for Buhari's emergence. Nigeria has always had good policies on paper but corruption and impunity destroys implementation. Take for example the East-West road Wike has reached agreement with FG to rehabilitate. During Jonathan, Amaechi was attacked and called a traitor for doing same and denied the rights to do same.

Jona released all the necessary money required for the project. The rest shall be recovered by tolling the igbos that will be using the bridge.

Some folks would like to know if the project has been abandoned after the change of government. Jonathan has paid all the money. The rest will be recovered by tolling the user's. Buhari has no hand in this project.
