What proof does SSS have? Are they the court? Those of you supporting violation of people's rights are yet to experience same. There is a reason we have the courts. No body should be detained for more than 24 hours without being charged to court.

Roof has been charged....he already made his appearance in court to have the charges read against him.

What happens next year is the formal trial....where evidence will be presented to a judge and jury....and where the prosecution and defence will argue their cases.

I don't know about the law in Nigeria....but the laws in US and UK usually allow you to be held without charge after a set period of time...not longer than 48 hours. If you are not formally charged....you may be set free.

I am all for fighting corruption. But we should not violate people's rights in doing so. They should allow him access to his lawyer, family and medications. And they should charge him to court.
