bushdoc9919: Same thing in Nigeria. Our law demands that a suspect must be charged to court within 24 hours, maximum 48 hours. The problem here is that most times the law enforcement usually don't have any evidence to charge someone to court with. So they start playing games, hiding you from your lawyer and family. 1 Like |

Nigeria: A place where people are willing to commit a crime but not strong enough to do the time. The transient nature of power is glaring but some people misuse and abuse thinking that it lasts forever. PMB...keep hunting them. The status quo is why Nigeria is stagnant. Some of the criminals may try to politicize it by hiding under the banner of a political party. We are not f.o.o.l.s \ 4 Likes |

I understand why Nigeria has such low standard of living, and why the rich continue to be worshipped as gods themselves. You can split it down the middle. Those who are highly corrupt, and believe no falsehood is too great in the pursuit of wealth. While you have others who try to be godly, diligent and upright. The tragedy is that evil wins. Evil laughs while the godly lament and continue to be frustrated. Once in a while a hero comes along. The question asked is would the hero overcome evil? 1 Like |

Isn't it funny that all this guys suddenly develop an ailment whenever they are arrested, meanwhile they can serve for over 35 years sef without complaining if all were to be rosy. It's even more funny that some myopic individuals are always jumping to their defence, let the law take its course people and if you are so vexed, you can study law and take up such cases pro bono. 2 Likes |

Bjergtrolde: Let us be factual here. Is he eating, is he drinking water, does he have access to gents, while then will they deny him of medication? it is the usual sensationalism of lawyers of corrupt people. HE will not die till he faces the consequences of his act of sabotage. 1 Like |

We are so daft! The level of illiteracy in this country is at its peak. So many sycophants. A country soaked in the quagmire of corruption and deceit. We all want freedom from poverty and hunger but we also don't want those holding us down to let go. Mumu go kill una for this country. Each and every time you catch these people causing this hunger games they cry health issue and yet the fools who are impoverished, malnourished, mis-educated and punished will cry for them to be released. How then do you STOP corruption. Everything comes with a prize. 3 Likes |

Diabetes and hypertension can be diagnosed in a day.. So there is no need for all these ranting emanating from certain individuals on his appointment as a CSO!!!! I still believe that DSS don't follow due process on issue concerning detention and arrest. Fundamental human right should be respected. |

superstar1: We are getting somewhere. Lawyer says not getting his medication, DSS should come and say, thats not the case, until then , He is not getting his medication. On another note, we either subscribe to justice or lynch mob. Justice stipulates that he is innocent until proven guilty. Locking him up when he has not gone through due process is not justice. I will bet my bottom dollar that all na show. He would be released with no charges filed or get the charges thrown out by the court. BTW: In the old soviet union, political prisoners sometimes died a "natural" death when the state denied them medication. |

free2ryhme: The reason why he is being detained is unknown but the man obua is an officer in DSS and its not out of place for the DSS to place him under arrest. Dem never search him house or lay siege on his house like Dasuki. No be only detain, i am sure in all of his years of service, he has been detained several times, Guard room or Officers mess is not prison cell, He will be treated like a gentleman but he can not go home only if he abides with the rules. If na civilian now, i for support the motion but the guy is still very active in service and he should dance to the reggae music. If na blues or country music dem want make him sing, he should cooperate but he should be wise to rat out everybody involved in the corruption charges. E don tay wey newspapers don get this kind reports of arrests based on corruption. Signing out |
