I just saw this article and i decided to share it... After believing into Christ, the first frustration to our Christian life is to doubt that we’re really saved. I addressed this in a previous post entitled, “ How Can I be Sure I’m Saved? ” A second frustration to our Christian life is the plaguing doubt that we can lose our salvation. In this post we’ll consider four reasons why we can boldly say that we can never lose our salvation. Related to this, there are two key verses, John 10:28-29 , that would be good to remember. Here the Lord Jesus said of His sheep, “And I give to them eternal life, and they shall by no means perish forever, and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand.” Now that we’ve read these verses, let’s continue with four reasons why we can boldly say that we cannot lose our salvation. First, the eternal life the Lord gives us will never run out. The Lord has given us “eternal life.” Eternal life is not a boarding pass that can be lost or stolen. It is God’s divine life that is eternally ours based on our divine birth. Christians talk about being “born again,” but, according to the Bible, what does that really mean? John 1:12-13 say, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name, who were begotten [or born]…of God.” So those who receive Christ by believing into His name are born of God with the life of God to become children of God. Since, as believers in Christ, we’re born of God, we can’t be “un- born.” To illustrate, no matter how much a child offends their parents, the parents still can’t take back the life they’ve imparted into that child. It’s the same with God. Second, the hands of the Father and the Son will never fail. The second point in John 10:28-29 is the keeping hands of God the Son and God the Father. God’s hands will never fail so our salvation is eternally secure and we can never lose it. We have such a Shepherd and such a Father to keep us and protect us. Their hands are stronger than anything—stronger than Satan and surely stronger than we are. Third, God’s eternal will that initiated our salvation will never change. According to His will, God initiated our salvation in eternity past. Ephesians 1:4-5 tells us that before we were born or had a chance to do anything good or bad, God already chose us and predestinated us, “Even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blemish before Him in love, predestinating us unto sonship through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. ” God chose us in eternity past and our believing in Christ was based on His irrevocable calling. God has called us that we might be saved and He will not take His calling back. Romans 11:29 says, “For the gracious gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable .” At times, we may backslde in unfaithfulness, offend God by our sins, and temporarily lose our fellowship with Him. However, God’s plan for us will never change. Since it was His eternal will to choose us, predestinate us and call us, our salvation is secured. Fourth, Christ’s promise to never cast us out and to keep us can not be broken. This is what John 6:37 and 39 have to say about our eternal salvation, “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and him who comes to Me I shall by no means cast out …And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all which He has given Me I should lose nothing but should raise it up in the last day.” Praise the Lord, God’s word will never fail! Christ promised not to cast us out and to keep us. We should simply believe God’s word, rest on Christ’s promise, and praise God that our salvation is eternally secure. “Lord, we praise You for giving us Your eternal life. Thank you, that as those who have been born of You, we can never be un-born. We are God’s children forever. Praise you, that Your strong hands are firmly holding us. Thank you that Your promise to keep us and not cast us out assures us that our salvation is secure. An2elect2:Don't mind them my sister.... God gave us Salvation as a GIFT and when a gift is given to somebody, you are not expected to pay anything for it else, it will no longer be a gift. And from this article, God have assured us that nothing whatsoever will snatch us from his hands..... We are secured in His hands Hallelujah!!!!  Before i discovered the message of Grace, i was a very depressed Christian because of all those fake visions of Hell Fire!! lool . Anytime, i read any of the visions of Hell prophecy, i will be depressed for like one week. 2012 was the worst year for me cos that was the year those fake prophesies were at the peak, soo many people died and woke, and they all came back with warnings about Hell!!! lool. It wasn't funny then, cos at a time, i started asking God why he created me when He knew He will still send me to Hell even after my so-called Self Righteousness..... Dat Sister Linda's Testimony divided the Body of Christ. But thank God for Jesus, many people have now realised the Truth. And the Gospel of Grace which is the TRUE GOSPEL of Christ have started spreading all over the world. I first heard the True Gospel of Grace last year and i was shocked!!!! lool . I couldn't believe that God would love me like that. Then i started reading books on GRACE & SALVATION by different men of God and i became LIBERATED!!! Cos i now know the true meaning of the death of Jesus Christ and His finished Works!!!! I now have inner peace and i am more alive now...... I really thank God for knowledge and am glad you know the Truth also.... 2 Likes |

Amen! i also had similar experience. And true nothing can be more depressing than hearing those tales of heaven and hell. It made me almost despair in Christ cos i was a victim too, but God who will not allow his children remain on the way of error intervened greatly and i was liberated. I now understand the perfect work of Christ on the cross. |

Philipians 2 vs 12 - work out your salvation with fear and trembling 1peter 1 vs 17 - if you (the saved christia) call on the Father who without respect of persons judges every man's work PASS THE TIME OF YOUR SOJOURNING ON EARTH IN FEAR listen up young man. If you once used to have that fear about hell and also about the terror of God. Then that was the Spirit of God trying to let you know how awful it is for believers to commit sin and take it lightly. GOD hates sin and will never allow it to go unpunished. So a christian to be in fear and trembling always means he reasons with God how terrible sin is. Now you say youre living in liberty right? ProphetUdeme:Abeg shift, no amount of your quoting of the Bible will convince me again. I was once like you, thinking that most Christians will go to Hell and believed the fake prophets. Mind you, i still care soo much about Eternity cos thats what Apostle Paul told us in the Bible as our HOPE. The difference now is dat whenever i think of Eternity, i have this PEACE & JOY that Jesus should come quickly so that we can enter into His Rest. It is you i will be praying for, so that God will bring u out from Darkness. The Gospel of Grace is the True Gospel. So many Nigerian Pastors preach the Gospel of Law & Grace, which is another Gospel dat Paul was talking about. We are no longer under the Law!!!!! You people are the ones mocking God's Grace by telling Him that the Death of Christ on the Cross is not enough dat you have to do your own works....... But guess what!!!!! Your Salvation have nothing to do with your WORKS!!!! And to sustain your Salvation also have nothing to do with your WORKS!!!! Its the gift of God!!!!!!!! Working out your Salvation is different from Working for your Salvation cos you its God dat gives us the gift of Salvation!!!!!! ProphetUdeme: You are the false teacher and the bible calls you a heretic! The bible is very clear on this one that our SALVATION IS BY GRACE AND NOT OF US. And just like y'all do, when you cannot fathom the truth of God's grace and also with your burning desires to esteem your wretched selves above others, you throw those scriptures that do not even support your blasphemy that a loving father will cast away the child he has birthed because of one wrong to our face. You have been duped and need to get yourselves taught thoroughly. Show me one scripture that APPEARS to say salvation can be lost and i will show you many more that expressly state we are safe for ever in God's arm. All the glory going to God for he performs all these wonderful works in us! Go ahead and part yourself on the back and give yourself some glory for being the co-saviour of yourself. Anytime i remember my Salvation, i am always Happy and will keep on Praising God for loving me and making me believe in Jesus Christ..... Its a good feeling.... Through one man's sin ( Adam ) mankind was condemned, and through another man's death on the cross ( Jesus ) mankind was redeemed and saved... Salvation is a gift, you just have to receive it and believe in Jesus...... God is LOVE..... His wish is not that any man should perish, but that we should have eternal life by coming to Him through Jesus Christ.... 1 Like |

@jigazz The reasons are too numerous. Another is that His Spirit abides with us forever, He is the down payment for our salvation and the guarantee of it.
