Rafael da Silva , sad story , went from best RB in the league to having his injury woes worsened by muyis . His goal against QPR 2012/2013 was terrific ,against Liverpool the previous season(2011) he and Valencia tore them a new one. I hope he can resurrect his career wherever he's headed.

I'm really sad Rafeal is leaving. Very cool, strong-willed defender who never played for fame. Gaal killed that guy's career so Mata could play on the wings. I miss SAF. Gaal will be in for the sack if he fails this season. Only Darmian is our natural RB. SMH.
Unfortunately only Plato seems to know what he is doing.
feriges holdouts now in the squad:Rooney,Jones, Smalling, carrick,Hernandez,Young, Valencia.

yea, same as the argentine league, dutch league and recently belgian league are rubbing success on dia national teams, u too much bro, I hail! grin grin

Where are the bulk of their national team players playing?

Most of Spain play in la liga and the national team benefited from it with world cup win, most of Germany play in bundesliga and the national team benefited from it with their world cup win

Most of English players play in the epl, when would the national team benefit from the awesome epl and win a trophy for their national side

I know this is just a preseason, but is anyone else totally vexed with the way the media projects this Chelsea team like its the best EPL team ever? I honestly don't understand, they have very good players but really, can they dominate like United did?

Dominate wetin? Especially now EPL is super competitive? No way!! English Press shouldn't be taken serious, they can make Sterling become Messi with their hypes.

astonishing that rafael is leaving and yet we have billy-goats like jones & evans in the defence.....
LVG is digging his own grave. even if we agree he wants tall defenders, rafael has a tremendous leap in him and he can play him when shaw isn't playing on the left. he's a better crosser than anyone on that right channel since 08/09 season.

see you guys later......make i go watch mourinho-wenger show - season 9 grin
that guy just dey behave like mumu sometimes. I'm waiting for when he starts making selections like an Id!ot..

Everyday I read articles explaining just 'how great this Chelsea team' is.
Let's see what happens this season

It's not always applicable.
Chile just won the Copa America. Their league must be better than the Brazilian or Argentine league for instance, going by the daft analogy of Professor Peller.
The EPL attracts more foreigners due to a number of factors, top sides in the EPL have fewer homegrown talents. It's no surprise the three cockroaches are struggling.
National side performance isn't always an indication of how good a league is. Wales is in FIFAs top 10 ranking. Their league must be better than Spain too, right?

Sterling still good. If the British media were to hold some sort of polls between Messi and Monreal, Messi would lose. Dats why i never read anything dat comes out of the British media

40-boi, et Tu ?

As much as we may want to argue for and against BL VS EPL, that post makes absolutely no sense to your points.
The Welsh League must be better than the Spanish league due to FIFAs latest ranking.
I don't understand the attack on Nyabinghi. Is he incorrect? Has the La Liga and BuLi not influenced the success of its country's national teams while the EPL has failed to do so?

Wales? Have they even qualified for a major tournament.

Dakun explain who is Wales and who is Spain in this context?

Of course Sterling is good. I'm just saying the hype English media gives EPL players makes them immortal.

Wales are in FIFAs top 10 ranking, higher than Spain.
On the basis of that the Welsh League is better than LaLiga.

That the Bundesliga lately and La Liga earlier on had an impact on their respective national sides fortunes is not conclusive enough to buttress your point about they being better leagues than the EPL.
Top sides in the EPL are filled with imports from both Germany and Spain. How are the three lizards going to do well in international competition when their teams don't go after homegrown talent as a priority?

The bulk of English players play in the epl

Do the bulk of Chileans Argentines and Brazilian national team players play in their league ?

How does fifa ranking translate into winning trophies

Because the bulk of the national team players play in the epl which according to you is the best league

National team performance on a monthly basis.

Unless we want to argue Germany's record from 1996 till 2014 when they won nothing.
Or Spain pre-2010.

Oga stop putting words in my mouth.
Show me where I said any of such.

If the bulk of English players is your bone of contention then your argument isn't enough.
The point was that league strength is a function of National team success.
Explain the case of Chile for example.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 4:54pm On Aug 02, 2015
MOANrinho finally loses to Wenger. Assnal thoroughly outplayed Chelshit. I'm impressed.

Chilean players don't play in their league so their quality is not from their league

English national team players all play in their league and their performance should be representative of their league and it has been woeful to say the least

So going by your analogy, why are we exempting Chile from this debate?
Please explain.
I fail to see how a league guarantees that your national side will win trophies.
Even in the early to mid-90s when it was universally agreed that Serie A was the best, what did Azzuri win?

The UCL rankings are calculated over the period of 5 years. Do you know how FIFA go about their own rankings?

This comparison is too far fetched. What is Wales noteworthy achievement? La Liga are on the brink of a back to back European supercup Final. Bundesliga produced an all-German Final 2 years ago formed the core of a WC winning team and by co-efficients (which calculates performances over 5 years) they have out-performed the EPL

What does this have to do with Wales or the Welsh League?

So wait BuLi and La Liga are Wales and EPL is Spain.

BuLi. Both leagues have had success for club and its spilled to country but EPL is Spanish National team and BULI and La Liga are Wales.

You won't easily notice though because of the perennial underdog label.

I make bold to say Falcow will not score up to four (4) goals for Chelshit fc...
