what you are asking is kinda broad bruv you may or may not get responses as some peeps would get the impression that you are lazy and waiting for others to do even the basics for you, but what i will suggest is, you should make an effort to visit www.cic.gc.ca to read up on the various visa categories and it's requirements then return to this thread to ask more specific questions with regards to a visa category you've decided to apply for which fits your budget.
Thanks boss...u just hit d nail on the head..dis guide is just what I need...I was actually waiting for sum1 to give me a guide as to where I can read from...Thanks a bunch bruv

Hello folks,

Good morning to you all.

I wanted to ask if there is anybody on this page that got any form of scholarship to do MPH in Canada either partial or full funding? with what i'm hearing, and what @topebamidele said earlier, looks like it is nearly impossible to get any for MPH. Please my people help?

Thanks.

topebamidele:
You may start considering another program at Usask if you will be relying on funding. Usask exempts MPH students from being considered for funding. You can mail the dept to confirm though.

Other programs automatically forward your name for funding consideration after you apply. If you meet funding requirement of 85% entrance CGPA, evidence of published papers and presentations, potential for further research activities, and availability of 2nd year funding by your dept or supervisor.

Thank me later... I'm not going to Usask though, but I considered applying to the school before I settled for MRU

I initially applied for a PGD Program at uO . The school got back to me and told me they weren't offering PGD in the academic cycle and I was given a list of Masters Programs to choose. I was confused so I called the number attached to the email (God bless that guy). He looked at my transcript and told me what program would work for me. I still took sometime to know decide if I wanted that program . We spoke back and fort for a fews days and I made up my mind. Well you know the rest of the story....

Which program did you apply for PGD?
Which program did he tell you would work for you?
How many years working experience do you have?

Something must have sold your application which I would love to know, but before then, I strongly have my reservation on the authenticity of your story.

Clarifying this will help future applicants so that one will know a key selling point that can sell his/her application even with a low cgpa...

No offense meant bro.

Getting funding for MPH is very rare! After you are admitted, you may be able to apply to General scholarships, open to all graduate students in the school, it's usually small money, and doesn't qualify as funding.
Some schools might give internship (practicum) stipends, also small. You can also get TA (Teaching Assistant) jobs, if your profile is powerful cheesy

Well, I can't say generally cos it depends on the school. UBC gives partial funding, but you need to have good GRE scores to apply to MPH. **verify this info on UBC's website, I checked two yrs ago, and crossed it off my list because of GRE.

If funding is a really important factor, maybe you should apply for an MSc Course (Health Sci, Community Health etc). It's thesis-based and you need to get a potential supervisor, who can avail funding.

I'd suggest you email Fleming College to answer your first two questions.

To notarize documents, see these links from the Nairaland German visa thread: this and this.

@funmi14, could you let these folks know where you certified your documents or how to find a notary public? I have limited info

vicumej:
Dear nairalanders please who has gotten admission to fleming college? How did u submit ur credentials and application fee? Secondly, how does one get his documents notarized? Thanks

@ thesoj & oda master's in d house.. ..... Pls kindly answer dis, as som body like me mighty also gain from it.

send them a mail reminding them about your application and your resumption date...tell them how you really don't want to miss the orientation also that late resumption can affect your academic performance and you really don't want that.....it worked for me after I sent them a mail my whole process became swift.

This is not true, having studied and worked in most of the G8 countries. I would say Canadians are one the most educated. Right from their apprenticeship level to Post graduate, they don't joke with education. Also, their government is one of the least generous in terms of taking care of the citizen's mess. If you travel to Europe, then you would understand that calling Canadians lazy is an insult.

Because they smoke and party does not mean they don't study, what you experienced is just a culture shock. They party hard just the same way Nigerian student attend campus fellowship back in Nigeria. I have a friend that partied and drank like a fish, (he is from Novia scotia so no suprise) when I was studying in the EU, yet he finished with a First class in Physics and a distinction in Msc Aerospace, so don't be deceived.

Canada is densely populated only in the small provinces like PEI, NFL, NS, NB cos nobody really wants to live in those provinces cos of lack of many opportunities compared to the provinces with big cities. Also, if you look closely at the map of Canada, what percentage of the land is actually Inhabitable, most of the population tend to stay down south in the big cities close to the US border as it's warmer. People don't want to live in northern parts of provinces and what is the population of NWT, Yukon and Nunavut again Those territories are very close to the North pole.

The paragraph in italics is correct. Migration to Canada either as a student or PR becomes relatively easy if you are a high flying student/graduate. I am a living witness to a speedy PR process. There was nothing special in my application. I just submitted my application the usual way back then. The only thing I could point towards that worked in my favour would be good grades in academics and a score of 9 in Ielts. I heard it's rare to score a total band of 9. My advice to anyone coming to Canada would be to try as much as possible to graduate with good grades and all lines would fall into pleasant places.
Hmm..The only thing I saw here is ur score of 9 in IELTS..Guy u be wiz oo

Below are the second refusal reasons

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by hayqinsbFX: 10:52am On Aug 04, 2015
@kennykentipsy
with such amount in the sponsors SOA, its obvious that they aint convinced about the credibility of the sponsor......work more on that...
leave every other thing as it is then refire...

just an idle thought.....if someone has huge wealth of experience in a field and he is independent in his home country (he even has a family), the choice of a sponsor should be taken so seriously..
