That means you must have come across at least 80% of engineering students around the country.

Or you are probably among the "most" who can't speak english fluently. undecided

smiley 1) I'm not an engineering student 2) I'm judging from the ones I've come across. Most are very good academically but not fluent in English. they write well tho.

The fault is not in his English. By the way he didn't speak to her,,he typed.

People make so many grammatical errors when it comes to chatting.

The mistake he made was in his approach to the girl. Who messages a strange girl and starts bombarding her with messages without even giving her a chance to ask about him or even inquire how he got her number like they usually do.

Fluent speaking of English is not necessarily a thing of the course a person studies in school.

I'm sure you know that.

You can still find people who study english and literature that don't know Jack about writing a well composed Essay not to talk of speaking a complete sentence in english devoid of grammatical errors.

I wonder where dis issue of English & Engineering is coming from. The quality of ur spoken English is not a function of d higher institution u attend or d course u read in sch. It is a function of how solid ur primary and secondary education is. I am an Engineer, I attended one of the F.U.T. & I speak so well, I didn't learn it in d university, I grew up to understand that I can speak English, I might not be able to speak big vocabulary like Hon patrick, buh a simple, correct and fluent English is wot is expected of me as a graduate. While I was in sch, I had course mates that could speak better than a good lawyer. I have seen lawyers dat do not knw d difference between present & past tense. So if u can't speak Simple & Correct English, blame it on ur foundation, Not Engineering.
