These biscuit bones defenders won't get injured until the transfer window is shut.

But how far with Jones?

I'm with LvG on this one tho. If the goalie isn't ready to start his season yet, he can watch from the sidelines - it's not a new thing.
For sinizia banging on how nobody is bigger than the club, how exactly is it supposed to be shown? You offered a 4 year contract & the guy chooses to leave after 3 years, so? A fair price is set which Madrid is reluctant to meet. Terms are really simple: pay up/swap trade Ramos or fcck off. Until that cash is paid, he stays & be professional - & it's his call really: either man the sticks professionally or nyash the bench professionally!
Nobody is begging anyone really, you are only urged to abide by the terms of the dotted lines you signed on your accord.
If along the line Woodward chooses to let the drama go, it will be based on the disgression of the board & not because of some flimsy audible/inaudible threat or bullying.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal
believes that his team are the "victims" in Real
Madrid's pursuit of David de Gea, accusing the
Spanish giants of trying to underpay for his
goalkeeper.

The Spain international, who arrived at Old
Trafford from Atletico Madrid in 2011 for a fee
of £17.8m, has made it clear that he wants to
move to the Santiago Bernabeu following months
of negotiation.

However, despite the transfer distraction
forcing the Dutch boss to drop his number one
for the Premier League opener against
Tottenham, Van Gaal insists that Los Blancos will
have to meet his valuation if they are to sign De
Gea.

"Manchester United always have to pay," he told
the press. "We have to pay for all the players a
certain amount, and what have Real Madrid
offered?

"We are asking money and they have to pay the
money. In the last few years Manchester United
has paid a lot of money and we never received a
lot of money for our players.

"I am the victim, the fellow players are the
victims, the club is the victim and that is why the
transfer period has to change," the former
Barcelona coach continued.

"He is the best goalkeeper we have had the last
three years and in two years he was nominated
by the fans as the best player at the club. Do
you think the trainer-coach wants him to leave? I
don't think so."

It remains unclear who will replace the 24-year-
old in goal for the first Premier League game of
the season, after Van Gaal revealed that the
speculation had disturbed his No.1's concentration.

"We have seen in our training sessions and
matches he is not the David de Gea of last year,"
he added. "He tries, he does his upmost best, but
it is a difficult situation. He cannot manage this
situation. A human being is more than just a player
and he cannot manage so he will not play and you
will have to wait to see who does.

"We have to play our first match and this is the
most important match so I want players who can
focus only on the match. He is not capable of
doing that."

The same madrid paid around 20millon for a toni kross who was on his last year contract with bayern.
Either they don't rate highly enough or they doubt our resolve to keep him for an extra year.

Abeg lvg should should keep quiet jor. Players play games today for one club and by the following weekend, move to another club without any fuss.
If there is any sort of distraction whatsoever, it is coming from lvg who doesn't know how to be diplomatic!

I've to give props for Marid's bussiness acumen in the Kross and DDG's saga. They came in when the players are in the final year of their contracts, offered them pay increase and prestigeness of their club, the players couldn't resist it. It's a win-win for Madrid because if the club refuses to sell Kroos (as of then) and DDG (as of now), they can patiently wait for them for extra one year and snap them for free. So you see, it's a win-win for this moronic greedy Madrid club. angryangry

This is mostly Woodward's fault. He has a poor business sense. During Gill's era, we got the value for our players' sales, but ever since Woody came into the scene, that skill faded. From Rafael to Maria, these people have been sold for peanuts. There's no way on God's green earth a Daniel Levy of Tottenham would have sold Maria for £44M. Is he mad? Levy is so thick-skinned he wouldn't spare 1Kobo for anybody. Woody lacks that business acumen and tough stance on player sales.

I also blame LvG a bit, because he cares less for a player he doesn't want to work with. MaureenHoe didn't want Luiz, but made sure PSG over-paid for him, he squeezed the last cash from them. But LvG let Maria leave easily for lesser money. It still irks me till this day. undecided

I just read that news now. Gaal said Man Utd needs 2 players "including" a GK. Meaning 2 player plus (including) a goalie = 3 players. So I'm right about Man Utd's likelihood of getting a LCB alongside Pedro and a GK.

Not all coaches. SAF had a say on which players leaves or stays during his regime. Didn't you read the news where MaureenHoe blocked the sale of Mikel SLOWbi and Ramires? A top coach determines who leaves or stays. If LvG wanted Maria to stay like he's clutching unto DDG, Maria wouldn't have been sold.

Exactly. What I understand here is that the goalkeeper is inclusive of the two players.

He is looking at getting a replacements for Di Maria and DDG.

The 63-year-old revealed David de Gea will play no part against Tottenham on Saturday and hinted he may be forced to look elsewhere for a replacement.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal admits he may have to add two players to his squad before the end of the
transfer window, including a goalkeeper. The Dutchman confirmed on Friday that David de Gea - who is reportedly a target for Real Madrid - will not feature in Saturday's Premier League opener against Tottenham at Old Trafford.

And Van Gaal, who has already added five players to the United side this summer, says the current situation could see him in the market for a goalkeeper. “I think Manchester United have to always be a challenger or champion," he told the club's official TV channel. “Of course we have problems still with the goalkeeper, so we need maybe two more
players.”

No, LvG is right on this one, i must painfully agree. Enough is enough for Madrid. If they don't pay up, then we keep our GK and let him leave for free next season. Simple.

You are right. The fault is from goal.com. Man Utd's website never mentioned "including" a GK in its own.

Well, to me, i prefer Pedro and a CB, Romero and Johnstone are capable of replacing DDG.

OK. It's goal.com own interpretation.

But from the question and answer reported by Man United website (the interview was conducted by MUTV) the most logical conclusion is that the goalkeeper is inclusive of the two positions he wants to strengthen.

OK.

But Johnstone is inexperienced. The noise from the crowd will cause him nervousness such that when three oppositions players are in our box, he might see them as seven. grin

This is no preseason. Lingaard had two good preseason under Moyes and Gaal but came below part once he was played in his wing position in the opening fixtures.
