Can I manage an ahuja MX 55 PA audio mixer for now?
Lol,ma man. U take style funny oo. What is Ahuja? Are u talking about dat budding Indian company that produces PAS and other mean budget mics and speakers? they know nothing, I mean "nothing" about pro-audio equipment. If push comes to shove, u'll be better of pitching your tent with Behringer. They still have credibility in d pro audio equip. circle as producer of low budget gears.
Bro,in this game- "gear matters a lot" at least to some extent. That's if u really want pro-sounding outcome.BTW,you won't need an outboard mixer at least for now. All you ever want to do as regards mixing can be done virtually in your DAW's software mixer. It's a digital world now mate. Make sure you get a very nice pair of monitors, audio interface/soundcard, and mic at least for starters. You can add other additives like external microphone preamp and maybe compressors later when things are more convenient.
You are yet to get back to me as regards d acoustic treatment of the control room. I see u used ordinary foam for the vocal booth/live room. room treatment is the heart of recording. You need to be hearing transparent audio devoid of room reflections or sound ricocheting to get your mix right. I asked if you've researched if you could get fiberglass or rockwool in Abeokuta or the industrial town of Otta. Please let me know. As real acoustic foams can hardly be found in Nigeria here, and it will cost a fortune to ship from away. Here's a picture of an example below at T-spize's studio. Those things hung on d walls are fiberglass wrapped in fabrics

Thanks for the advise sir
I got focusrite scarlette studio package for now
The voicing booth was don't with normal foam of 2inch thickness along with a considerably thick cover cloth... I believe the soundproofing is good for now since I couldn't get the right materials locally
Thanks once again

Sorry I'm yet to upload pictures of the studio in full startup...
I got focusrite scarlett studio package yesterday and I've been setting the audio interface, mic and headset with Nuendo and cubase... Been on test running since morning to make sure I get it right...
I hope to make my first recording in the studio this week...

Bro, I have somebody that you can sign to your record label and you will never regret... He is a talented artist and a guru in music production... he has many good track already...and he produced all the songs himself... To my assessment, the guy has a future prospect as far as music is concerned and I am sure that if you listen to any of his tracks you give the same comment....
Still waiting for you to link me up with this talented artist

Re: A nairalander's Music Studio Project (photos) by AsherStorm(op): 2:50pm On Aug 25, 2015
For those of us in ogun state and environs or can relocate to abeokuta, Stormerz Records is finally set to sign 2 highly talented and hardworking artists and also promote 3 others to a reasonable extent...

Some of us here followed up my thread on our studio construction, our new studio is ready and we are fully operational and ready to unleash the best acts into the industry...

No registration fee or audition fee required...
Just a very good single from each artist is the criterion for participation...

For details on the audition contest.
