TheNonce:His comments were unusual, not just in the way they were delivered but because they also go against the club’s usual policy of trying to keep private conversations in-house. De Gea’s camp have been saying that he would have been happy to play and that it was wrong of Van Gaal to say he was not fully focused. Van Gaal’s version of events sheds an entirely new light on the affair, with little over two weeks to determine whether De Gea will get the move he craves or be left contemplating a difficult season running down the final year of his contract at a club he plainly wants to leave. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/aug/13/david-de-gea-louis-van-gaal-manchester-united |

RuuDie:I still don't get ur support for DDG in this matter. According to the latest story ,LVG sent two coaches to talk to him n one of the coach reported that DDG doesn't want to play for united again ,also his attitude in training has dropped meaning that he doesn't want to stay at the club beyond this transfer window. The fact dat DDG hv not said a single word concerning this wahala since January supports the news LVG is currently broadcasting ,that he doesn't want to comment because it will paint him bad is utter rubbish! I'm sure u know that Kelvin De bruyne wants to leave Wolfsburg for City but has refused to drop any hint that he wants to leave n hv even refused to force the move as he fears a backlash from fans n football pundits alike. The fact still remains that DDG is desperate to move to Madrid this summer n LVG + Ed have decided to sell him but Madrid do not want to pay up ,de could hv gone for him last year but they chose this year as his contract is nearing its end so as to get him cheap. Also Ramos was supposed to be part of the deal but Madrid again refused to play ball n now that Ramos has signed/is going to sign a new deal ,United's cards r few ,use him till next year or sell him for cheap this year ,either way ,de win. If DDG wants to see out his contract like Cr7 did ,he will tell the coach or show a positive attitude in training but he has done neither so u don't expect LVG to start formulating lies in order to freeze out DDG ,he is just speaking the plain ,rough truth about the matter in his usual blunt n straightforward way. He is not the kind of man to hold a player's hand n feed him milk. I think he has protected de gea from the media for so long ,longer than I expected n not for once has DDG returned that favor since this saga started in January. LVG noticed the drop in his training n against PSG so he has d right to bench him n also justify his decision to. |

RuuDie:Well spotted. van Gaal doesn't know what being ruthless is. If he was he woulda dealt De Gea away before now. It's actually embarrassing that he (LvG) isn't doing his best to keep his better players in the squad without sounding desperate. Alienating De Gea only goes to show that he hasn't mastered the art of man-management the way Fergie did. No matter what we say here, and no matter how long we postulate, David De Gea would be a huge loss at this point if he left to Madrid and whoever comes between our sticks will always be under the gun to remotely replicate his stature. In a season where we think we are trying to progress from a rebuilding, it is imperative that we keep someone like him who got us so many points last season. Freezing him out is not the way to go. If De Gea has managed to remain at United till now, deep into the summer window, I see no sense in preventing him from playing. |

I honestly wish we get thumped Mk Dons style today. LVG is an arrogant buffoon who derives pleasure in purposely seeing and doing things his own way and going against whatever the media or anyone says even if his own way is the short and easy way to hell. I am not surprised the way he's been sacked disgracefully in two top countries before. We all know where are our frailties lied by the end of last season and it was hoped by the start of this season, all that would be addressed but what have we? A man who derives pleasure in not wanting to be predictable even if by all showing, it is going to backfire and backfire painfully. No bid placed on Otamendi, dudes obviously going to city to make them stronger. No bid placed on pedro and Man city come again, dancing around waiting to pounce. These are two players who would strengthen areas of our team begging for change. The arrogant buffoon went about over stuffing the midfield and shunting players out of position. Exactly the bad way he started last season with a formation that won't work 100 years in England. It had to take fans crying for attack and 4-4-2 for this botox head to do something hence the season would have been a total disaster, a part of me wishes it was. Giggs would make a far better coach. But botox head keeps picking fights with kids, and trying to play players in every position on the pitch. Is it surprising that LVG seems to be the only manager in Europe people have personal beefs with? Those who say good things about him, don't even seem to be genuine in saying it. Are we not worried that he is someone that would potentially scare players away judging from the hate he receives everywhere and the history behind his arrogant and pompous attitude and demeanor? Someone who is still papering cracks with the vast amount as his disposal after more than 12 months in charge is certainly a block head who would never get it right. May Obatala and Sango visit LVG if we continue playing Depay in the CAM while less mobile players like Mata are on the wings, may Amadioha and Olokun embrace him if Daley Blind become our last resort at a CB position meant for true center backs and may Zeus and Odin divide his scrotum if we play the useless sideways and back passing game of last match that gave us only one shot on target. One day Smalling go dey attack for Rooney to defend. And somebody counters the fact this man is not destroying Man u. Tell me how we have improved from last season? Even Depay's face said it all (about this tinker genius of manager) when he was substituted and who brings on Valencia for Darmian? who does that? Certainly someone who knows so little about his players. |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by parrotibaba(m): 5:29pm On Aug 14, 2015 |
@joeace3000 Pedro will come. He was asked about the Pedro deal n he said that he is a player that he likes but it's still a process n they should ask Pedro not him as he doesn't hv any say in the matter as yet. My believe is that Barcelona r still holding unto him at least until after the super copa. On the Otamendi matter ,last season we spent close to €200m in transfer deals ,this year we hv spent close to €90m in transfer deals n hv gotten up to £50m in sales. There is a pattern ,Ed doesn't want to over spend for players like he did last season. The deal to bring Pedro to united cost lower than his release clause (£18m out of £22m) ,I stand to be corrected though ,n Valencia want €50m for Otamendi ,na club we wan buy? If city r ready to splash €50m on his head then so be it but I doubt they would if the deal for De bruyne pulls through. So Valencia either reduce the price of the player or Ed is not buying. |

Easy na, Joeace3000, wait till Aug 31. He said he is going to sign at least two more players, just chill, this same Gaal won several matches consecutively last season, see eh, its a phase, which will definitely pass. Meanwhile, might it interest you that Gaal's final destination is not man utd, he is part of the process that will take us back to the very top. So chill and watch as events unfold. |

parrotibaba:Again... one side of the story - LVG's side! How do you know he is not showing positive attitude in training - besides LVG and his sidekicks, who else has suggested this!!? Perhaps we should ask a 'neutral' like Giiggs... why is LVG the only one speaking, has he placed a gag on all the other staff? Anyway, time will tell... My take is, he is not managing these situations to my liking... how many disgruntled players in the space of just two months. Make una sef dey think am na... shuo! |

SIRcumalot:More like anti-LVG man-management approach... This isn't '95 with fledglings like Kanu and Rjikaard quaking at his presence. Players of these days can end a manager's career o, all it takes is a few bad results! |

RuuDie:So who should we believe more than the coach himself? if ddg is innocent he should speak up n by the way LVG is not the only one that confirmed that ,didn't you read the part about the two coaches sent to talk to him n he said he doesn't want to play for united again? Do u honestly expect Giggs to say anything to the media when he is not the Gaffer? how many times hv u seen assistant coaches grant interviews to the press? If LVG says that he has dropped in his training then I believe him. When luke shaw came to united ,LVG told him flat out that he wasn't fit n sent him to train with the fitness manager alone or when di maria was wasting possession with his kick n follow methods didn't LVG publicly criticize him or even recently when he criticized tiger for playing poorly in preseason n not to forget when he told failcow to go play with the under 19s because he lacked fitness. LVG says things as it happens not what ppl expect him to say. |

RuuDie:But not with a manager of his calibre no be moyes be this na. Managers get beef with players all the time. If we start to mention names night go fall beside their are also great players that also adore the man to name a few guardiola, iniesta and xavi. Rafeal is the only player I felt has been treated unfairly, all the rest just they vex. |

This for that young man talking aout DDG selling his house, pre-contract agreement etc. Here's an excerpt relating to CR7's transfer episode back then: "At Cristiano's request – who has again expressed his desire to leave – and after discussion with the player's representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player," the club said. Ronaldo is yet to comment but the Portugal international has reiterated to Ferguson that he always intended to leave United at the end of the season just gone. The Guardian revealed on 3 April that Madrid had put in place a deal for Ronaldo and that he was intent on leaving Old Trafford, having already agreed his salary and contractual terms. Ronaldo's representatives categorically informed the Spanish club as long ago as last September that he had no intention of remaining in Manchester and pledges were made to ensure the deal went ahead and that everyone involved in the negotiations made a pact not to discuss the agreement in public. United always denied this and their chief executive, David Gill, stipulated on the eve of the Champions League final that there was absolutely no way the club would sell the player. Ferguson had gone even further earlier in the season, saying he would "not sell that mob a virus" Just drawing parallels between the two cases - both guys indicated interest to leave, had some form of 'tentative' agreement with RM before anything concrete... Look at the disparity between how that of CR7 panned out and that of DDG now. What we have now is fans turning on DDG for no fault of his simply because of DDG's comments and refusal to field him! And yes, regardless of what LVG says his reasons are, I do believe him - he is not too big to lie! |
