The reasons why this section is dying are:

1. Seun has deserted the section. Gone are those days when the section was a place where one can interact with him.

2. People like bobbysaxy, prodeegee, magpies, bountydog just come here to advertise their dogs, gaining a lot from the forum without giving anything back. I think they should create informative threads on dog breeds, health, feed etc. I like what oluomoadebayo does concerning the belgian malinois. Chucky234 like acting like a master of dog; maybe he's caeser millan. . Well, he should educate us more on dogs.

3. No warning against fraud. There should be a permanent thread on the section where one can find the monikers of confirmed breeders and the fraudulent ones.

4. Most breeders here advertise like puppy millers. Those that advertise dogs here should step their game up. They should improve from just posting the pix of the pup for sale to posting the temperament, the date of birth, videos and also PRICE and if negotiable etc

5. No front page appearance. A thread from pet section should make Front page at least twice a week. I was surprise when the dogwalk show didn't make front page.

I remember reading a thread where you, oluomoadebayo and some other dude where arguing about which dog is fiercest between Gsd, malinois and caucasian. You all couldn't stand down for the other because you didn't want to hear that your beloved breed is not as strong as another.

The reason y people are no more intrested in all of that is because of those people that cyber bully others...u put an intresting topic there someone comes around to mess up the whole thing,it's better we address the problem from the root...I personally felt discouraged wen I discovered that some people don't have any other job rather than to bully people here and not only me,even other breeders to the moderator and as well the boss...this cud be frustrating....I guess that's the discouraging factor.pls let's tackle our problem for the root not the surface ..... Hoping to see a change in the pet section....God bless all the breeders,dog lovers,marketers and even those that comes around to bully us

Pet section is probably the only reason I type nairaland on my browser search box, speaking for myself av just been occupied with loads of things including the dog walks but that's not even an excuse.
Yes I agree with kolajoo most posts here are all about sales that's why I appreciate what redfigure is doing.
In terms of moderator not gving a d**n bout us I dnt really care if we make Fp or trending, nt that it won't b nice or encourage more traffic but bfore that happens let's see pet section as a place to chill out and learn important things about our beloveth k9s.i'll change

individual opinions are respected and tongues are geared towards Contructive criticism.
Being faceless has given room for impunity.
Moreso,we need to verify and direct many members that do visit here to sections of their interest such as the entertainment,family,food,romance etc. where their impacts can be felt.
Lastly,the 'gurumarajis' should get rid of pride,ego and also be open to learning.We all learn everyday.

@chucky234 Above is a thread from a forum that exposed the flaws in the video about caucasians ovcsharka that makes a lot of people think the breed is the devil himself. Seun loves to refer people to that video whenever he wants to scare them off the having anything to do with the breed.
