That you believe in Christ doesn't mean you're not a sinner. What Jesus came to do is give us a chance for external life. Its left to you to accept the offer. That he died for us doesn't mean an automatic salvation.
John 17:3 tells you what to do.

And 1 John 1:8 explains that Those claiming they are not sinners are liars and the truth is not in them.

"If we make the statement, we have no sin, we are misleading ourselves and the truth is not in us"

The person who made this statement is Apostle John and we are 1000% sure he believed in Christ but he still admit he's still a sinner.

@OP, while i must commend you for your write up, you did not get #10 right. In several places in Scripture, the in-filling of the Holy Spirit was evidenced by speaking in other tongues. Remember what Jesus said? Out of your belly shall flow out rivers of living water? He also said that one of the marks of a believer would be to speak in other tongues. Secondly, Scripture supports the laying on of hands to recieve the baptism of the Holy Spirit, something Paul did severally. You could ask for it on your own or get someone to pray for you, laying hands. It all boils down to faith. I got baptised in 1988 and it wast through the laying on of hands. I have been speaking in tongues since then.

@ OP.....Religion is the OPIUM of the masses. I believe in one thing.....JESUS CHRIST as my personal Savior.

I have to say I agree with your submissions. Some of the points you mentioned need clarification otherwise you would be misunderstood. Mostly by those who do not have a solid understanding of the scriptural basis for the points. Especially wrt no. 8 and 10. God bless you.
