Hello house, i did carry out a surgery work on my dish this past weekend with one of the best and very amiable, gentle gurus around Umassor, by name. i wasn't satisfied with my signal on hotbird especially with fox sport at 56%. So on that wet saturday ..just imagine Umassor his brother and i set out to work, it was very lively, fun watching him at work. We tried about 12 different LnBs jus to see the best of them, this are high end LnBs, just to mention a few, we had inverto utra, fuji star gold, digisat, old fuji, etc. we tried them one after the other. it was so much fun seeing what signal percentage each one of the LNBs gave us. After series of tape measurement, adjusting here and there, bolts, angle inclination, and so on and despite the drizzling rain we where able to add wait...8% gain on foxsport, from 56 to 64 on a 3meter dish. even on my hispasat that i was formally getting 56-57 jump to 64% too. On hotbird initially i had about 950 channels suddenly jumped to 1,049 channels, also i was getting about 84 channels on Hispasat suddenly jumped to 139 channels, even Nilesat dat i was having 134 stations suddenly became 254, i said wao!! this cant be true, this a good testimony to the fact that you can always achieve more when u put your best into somting you love and that 3 heads is better than one. which LNB did the job? its d oneway star gold LNB.. the old type ooo. most of the new ones are fake. My humble Appreciation goes to my brother, my friend UMASSOR Wilson the only guy i know that has tracked PTVSPORT in lagos with 4meter, who despite the rain came all the way to my base , to you brother too, to my sweet wife who provided entertainment for us i say thank you and God bless.

I'm glad you went through all that trouble. As an enthusiast who knows that it might take weeks of fiddling to find the perfect mix, I humbly ask for data from your research findings. I have about 9 LNBs with me here including the Inverto Black Ultra, Inverto Red and Invacom QPH-031. What signal strength did you have with the Invertos?

the Lnb skew is at 2-45pm not exactly on 3pm. try stargold lnb the one way or four way, getting d original is a big headache. Contact Umassor if he can get one for u.

my brother some of this lnb jus get name for nothing. inverto ultra gave about 5% gain, the others too tried but d one way that Umassor brought beat the rest by 4% Though some gurus will tell u if they handle the inverto utra or other ones like inverto red, etc dat it will beat stargold hands down, its very possible but from what we achieved on dat day its d stargold dat carried d day. will post some technical details and som pictures later.Do u know you decoder could b the cause? even lnbs too. more info education coming later.

@Truly1. The two C band lnbs are not properly aligned for a motorized setup.That's where u got it wrong.See attached pix

@ Olason,good hunting and more grease. Pls at ur spare hours since u re motorized try and hunt more fringe sats with some goodies like nss12 @57e(duhok tv),turksat @ 42e, azerspace 46e etc. It's really getting exciting and interesting with true FTA enthuasists. Viva FTA

You seem well experienced in this dish stuff. Do you know Tunde? I have an issue. I have a 4.4m dish and I just get only hotbird. My installer, actually Tunde, said because of space. I don't understand and I am not happy.

U CAN'T USE THIS ONE FOR VIEWING CENTRE,BUT IF U CAN INSTALL BIGGER DISH FOR BEIN SPORT AND GET THEIR CARD AND DECODER.HOME VIEWING IS DIFFERENT FROM VIEWING CENTRE,BUT BEIN SPORT CAN BE USED AT VIEWING CENTRE

To the rest of the house, my HBO @68.5^oE has never shown. Always scrambled. I've tried every trick everywhere on this forum. Signal strength is 68% on an SRT 4922. What could be the problem?

BOSS 13, 4.4m, yes truly if you have obstruction or obstacles your dish won't perform well, a 4.4 meter will perform like 1.8meter, you need to identify that, and make sure the line of sight is very clear, normally with 4.4meter if its handled well hotbird at 13e, hispasat at 30w, azerspace, at 46e, 57e, etc should b a piece of cake when u get the rit focal length , good lnb , and most important too a skill and experienced installer. if you need i can recommend one. Yes I need one. Jostunde is my installer. If I had space constraint why am I even getting hotbird at all. I should not get anything then. I have reviewed your comment and noticed how you try to improve on the efficiency on your 3m dish on a regular basis. In my case, they never tried. Just tracked hotbird and told me no space for the rest. That is not professionalism

bros it takes time ,energy, money and above all patience and perseverance to hunt some of this fringe sats. though my dish has limit to some sat like azerspace at 46e, 57e, i have some channels on turksat at 42e, kanal d and the rest. The bigger your dish the more u pull more out of the OFF the fringe sat.

With your 4m u shud be having nothing less than 18sat if well.motoriZed.

Jesus, don't make me faint - 18 satellites - - I am struggling with one. It is motorised according to the installer. Are you an installer and are you very good?
