Read his post very well, he acknowledged there were situations one wont be able to control himself(with that particular girl) and yet beats his chest that no woman would ever make him fall in love.

"tho I still wish to see..." he admits issues like that do occur to men, it has not happened to him before. That's a healthy challenge to the intended(womenfolk) audience or reader to prove it to him, by making him fall headlong. It's a means-to-an-end kind of self declaration. It has nothing to do with self contradiction, except u are unable to strain your brains a bit further to reason more generously in the poster's perspective.
