Your illiteracy knows no bounds and I can see the dunce hat resting proudly n comfortably on ur head...certainly not going to move at least until u learn to engage in civil discussions in a civilised fashion.

He may have extracted a commitment not to engage in illegal activities but that could have been issued and then investigation kicked off to ensure those guidelines are followed. Any subsequent ban will be based on complicity and none will come to tell Nigeria that the ban should be lifted cos there's no evidence against them.

This is not a family matter that u can work from answer to question and it will be put down to family dynamics. It is also not an emirate where the words of the emir are law!
Rather this is a national issue with legal implications! Outlook is also important! We are in global relations and businesses where u must be seen to be at the top of ur game at all times! Don't sit there and call ur people illiterate when u aren't any different. It's in you...

teamchocolate:
Stop being an illiterate!
He reversed the ban on a guarantee that the vessels will not be used for any illegal activity..i am sure there will be repercussions if that condition is not met..
Sai baba! Baba sherubawon!!.. keep working let the wailers keep crying!!!

Was ds scenario not in place b4 d ban? Was it not clear that d ban would have 'adverse effects' in d first place? Why place d country in a precarious position then recant thereby looking absolutely confused? Normal ppl always seek for and strive to achieve a stronger position/upper hand and not deliberately box oneself into weak positions due to avoidable decisions.

A listening and analytical man will carry out due diligence first before issuing and implementing any decision so he can stand by it and defend it without being backed into a corner.

If they decide to sue Nigeria for loss of earnings caused by an unsubstantiated ban is that not more avoidable loss n stress?

For those who are uninformed, the reversal was necessary because of the adverse effects of the ban on our economy.
Any listening and analytical man will toll the line of PMB.
No matter how you look at the reversal, the welfare of the people should be the Supreme law
.
if he had done his consultation before the ban he would have known that apart from the economic backlash, innocent nigerians will loose their jobs, he needs to put away dictatorial tendencies

Seems like you didn't read this part of the article;

INTERTANKO, the global oil tanker industry association in a protest letter called on the President to lift the ban since there was “no evidence or grounds” to back its allegations.

“INTERTANKO protests in the strongest possible way that these bans should be lifted with immediate effect until grounds and evidence for the ban have been given to each vessel and vessel owner/operator, and the owner/operator has had an opportunity to respond,” General Counsel Michele White said in a letter to the NNPC, dated July 22.

Whynotthetruth:
cheesy smh... Did you read this article before calling others ediots? ...He was asked to reverse the ban simply because he accused them with NO EVIDENCE... They can decide to sue him for defamation and business loss and win because he was keeping the cart before the horse...thanks
Did you read the part where he it said committements were extracted from them never to use their ships to economic engage in illegal activities?

You expect the President to be wasting time looking for evidence for what everyone knows IA happening, concerning over 100 ships? He just wants to put a stop to sabotaging activities of the ship.

if he says he wants to trial all of them one by one now, it you same people that will say this man has no plan or focus, apart from making about probing and prosecution.

double0seven:
Some people be talking like certified idi.ots .

When PMB issued the ban, did he tell you that it was going to be forever? It was to serve as warning and some kind of punitive measure to all the illegal activities those Ships have been engaging in in the past.

And the government may just have achieved it's aim. The ships are being readmitted with an individual guarantee from each never to be used in economic sabotage of Nigeria's crude oil. Now they know that a new Sheriff is in town who will not tolerate nonsense. Now they know it is not business as usual.

So you certified idio.ts should keep on wailing while Baba keeps on doing what Nigerians elected him for, which is to bring back sanity back into the system.
Keep consoling yourself and your fellow broom wielding herbalists. The dulIardinho messed up big time by banning them and he was bullied into reversing his action by INTERTANKO. He should have maintained his ground and see INTERTANKO bring our economy down. Nonsense

He was bullied? I guess that was why he was able to extract commitment of good behavior from all the ships concerned.

You people are so blinded by hatred. That sector needed drastic sanitizing and that's what Baba has done.

This can be seen in two different ways, either the government was hasty or it is being strategic. Hasty if this was a kneejerk action and strategic if the aim is to warn these owners of what could come if those guilty do not desist. The important thing is to look out for the nation's interest in all these and not those of some capitalists who can do anything for gain.
And for those always looking to call the president names and abuse him for every little issue that appears to be negative and never deem it worthy to commend on the positive, it is a sad way to live for the next 4 years.
Sustained bitterness and unforgiveness against fellow men is self-destructive. One can only live and progress on negative emotions for a little while.
Resentment, hate, anger and bitterness does nothing than holds us prisoners, and letting go is experiencing true freedom

It's now obvious ur an illiterate, for your mind now u don make valid point.. was there no previous commitment not to engage in illegal activity but was this commitment enforced? No!
Buhari did the best thing by first revoking all their licences first of all so they can know that he really has the power to do so,( u see they were alredy used to a corruption is not stealing paddy-paddy govt) .. they were now the ones appealing to lift the ban.. then he gave them conditions to lift the ban with stern repercussions... and they know he can ban them all yet again or at least the ones not behaving... why won't they be on their best behaviour.... my frnd u need a course in human psychology and management...

When we sound it loud and clear to all his follow confused, helpless, hapless and blind promoters that:

1. President Buhari is confused;

2. He lacks basic knowledge of the running of a 21st century government.

3. In his mind, he is not a democrat, he is a dictator;

4. The people that voted him are the ones responsible for perpetuating backwardness and economic crunch in Nigeria for the next four years;

5. He should better resign NOW.

They will think we hate them.
May God help us from this soup.
