They do it...in 2013.
Secret recruitment is nothing but corruption.
And DSS is not alone in this.
If they did it, which I am not doubting you, it still isnt DSS standard practise. I dont support nepotism but for DSS, there is nothing new about so-called 'secret' recruitment. Public adverts are the exception not the rule. Ask any DSS officer not a Nairalander!

I called you a liar because you make it sound as if recruitment into the SSS should be a top secret. Friend secret recruitment into the DSS is not a norm, it's corruption.
That this has been going on for years doesn't make it right.
If later this year, Mr Daura recruites only Northerners- since it's supposed to be a secret and outsiders are not supposed to know about it- it's people like you that will complain of northernization and nepotism.

You still did not show that recruitment into the dss has ever been advertised.

I hope this government is not on a nepotism and vengeance mission.

Two weeks ago, the police officer who aided the escape of Kabiru Sokoto was reinstated.

About three weeks ago, the soldiers who played informants for bokoharam were reinstated but now those who in no way are threats to the nation’s fragile security are dismissed from service.

Some blind supporters will applaud these dictatorial tendencies.

what the f**k did you just say, dsp abubakar (not really sure abt the name) has been reinstated dammmmnnnnnn. Where are we heading to as a country. Kai walahi i weep for this nation

Only a hibernating vampire wouldn't have heard about it thru out last year.

OPCNAIRALAND:
The DSS is overloaded with Easterners. This is why Buhari excluded their rank and file from inner security details and limited them to the outside perimeter of Aso Rock.
That aptly sums it up.... Operation do away with all easterners in all government agencies. Nigeria is headed for a catastrophic end!

I hope the Federal Government won't regret this. How can you dismiss such person that have gone for such training, that is to say that they might use it against the government. Tomorrow you say armed robbers are too intelligent now they have gone for training and they have been dismissed

U have picked a number of persons, given them professional intelligence gathering training, and all of a sudden u relieve them of their positions without considering the fall-out fron such actions??
Doesn't that show that the Nigerian authorities are stupid?? It is stupidity when u do not realise that these persons can become valuable assets to terrorists like boko haram, Islamic state, etc..
Well, the same thing is happening everywhere in the country where the best brains have no jobs while the olodos are in the best jobs cz they know somebody..
The Nigerian authorities had better redefine their priorities before Boko Haram and Islamic state starts to employ their youths

DSS do not publicize it recruitment.
This service is called 'THE SECRET SERVICE'that is why its activities is secretly carried out, including its RECRUITMENT.
There is secret service in nigeria and they can never infiltrate Boko Haram?, rather its vice-versa

Not good to dismiss anybody in training/work without giving reason(s) for the action. It is not human and so undemocratic.

I don't need to ask anyone. I know it's their standard practice, but that's not the rule. It's nowhere supported by the law that established the DSS and that's the impression I want to correct
Will it be ok if I give all my family member, appointment in the DSS everytime there is a need for replacement, because it's DSS "standard practice" not to let outsiders know about it?

A northerner is now the head of the DSS and will be there for a minimum of 4years. This standard practice will amke some people cry of marginalization, because it's not going to favour them.
Do you know about 3000 FRSC trainees just passed out of training in June?
Did you read or hear it anywhere?
Is it their standard practice too?
Same thing happens in NSCDC, Customs and Immigration? Standard practice?
There's nothing standard about it, it's corruption.
It's not as if I'm searching for job or something.
In fact, I prefer the "standard practice".
It just pains me that people who are supposed to know better are in support of it, just because an Ogar is affected.
Just read my signature.

Hmm 65 trainee officers.. No advert , nothing they just employ their relatives.. Carry go baba

U should advocate that they cancel d whole recruitment since there was no advert placed . Abi were they not 420 cadets? Bros if u are there u will help ur qualified relative.

This is WITCH-HUNTING. No employer employs and sacks without stating the reason (s) why the services of the employees are no longer needed.
My friend u can't waste an employees 10 months in ur training camp with exposure in all ur categories of intelligence and u just wake up and write one letter without sympathy or apoology for some one as if they are thieves.
Come Daura respect urself and call them back before 25th of October!!!
Don't traumatise those youth cos na this kind thing dey make person carry gun stand for road after all they have been exposed to all those things even fraud .

There will always be those who will make insensitive remarks.

The security service never announces their recruitment, for God sake it's a secret service, Ogah's relative may be there but please did she go through the training as the others? Yes..
Was she jumped to an office position? No. Where is the nepotism here, due process along with other trainees was followed.

And to that dude who said recruitment was on the basis of man know man and corruption I think you need to check how you think, you may like buhari but don't be stupid..

No fee was asked for to recruit anyone, no advertising (it's the secret service damn it).
Please make sensitive remarks that even you can learn from..

I respect matured reasoning as this. Too bad not every one can use their God-giving brains to reason.
They forget that DSS is not civil service recruitment.

NNPC, major oil companies, government ministries cbn etc if you don't know anyone you are wasting your time not nothing is by merit. If you are a female you must sleep with the boss before you can get a job.

Go to CBN both old and New CBN its infiltrated by the Northerners ( small Hajias, young Alhajis and Abokis) enter lifts and restaurants everywhere u will see them so Marilyn helping her towns woman is not out of place. She didn't just fix her there as she has been in camp for those number of months mentioned up there.
Out of the 420 cadets that same list of those left to continue with the training if u go thru it u will see a 'Daura, and a 'Buhari' there why should she be hunted like this? I doubt if this country can ever unit.

The truth is that it has never been advertised. U don't need to justify the sack by faulting the process of recruitment, when the authority did not state any.

I don't have time to be going round the circle.
I just told, secret recruitment into public service is not a NORM.
That they've been doing it doesn't make it right.
I'm very familiar with the DSS to know that they don't advertise any vacancy, but only replace them with their own people with some slots given to some politicians- especially in the NASS.
So stop making it sound as if the secrecy is embedded in the law governing the DSS. It's not and it's corruption.
I just hope I won't get to read it here again from people like you if Daura decides to recruit only northerners in december, just because the recruitment exercise should not be "advertised"
