"He who pays the piper, dictate the tune". You can not expect these journalist to report something bad after collecting 'brown envelopes'.

The era of investigative journalism is gone, everybody is now looking for crooked ways to make money.

All this is happening because there is no institution in place to look after the evil act of employers of labor owing their workers salary. I mean this is one of the greatest evil any man can do to his fellow man.

Teachers and journalist suffer the most from this abysmal act, you see them and you just can't help but shake your head and wonder how these set of people who should be celebrated are now looked upon with scorn.

Of course the mastubators would not want to accept this. They knew how brow envelopes journalism helped oust GEJ administration. This typa journalism is what has killed the USA bringing back racism to it. You can neva slience anyone. Nigeria should start preparing for a slow disintegration.

Yet they will forget to report to Baba Fight Corruption (Buhari) to beam his searchlight on them too.

The media has portrayed everybody and profession in Nigeria as evil. Yeye people!

I remember I used to accuse them on this forum with my dead moniker. Journalists in Nigeria are more corrupt than govt officials.

Brown envelope to them is the target and their bosses that sit at the offices also partake in the bribe.

There are also many free lancers whose only source of income is the brown envelope and several of them don't even report to any media firm but they will be the first to draw their midgets for interview. Smh undecided

This's for people who have time to read newspapers and watch Nigerian stations apart from Channels. The best source of news is the internet, forums and blogs because you see many views and come to your own conclusion in the end.

If you're going to watch Nigerian news on TV make sure its Channels; their reports're the most non-partisan I've come across.

credit goes to APC for this trend. It's a pity that most unintelligent Nigerian youths have fallen prey to this journos and their organizations.
APC does not bribe journalists with brown envelopes.
It is the PDP that paid news journalists and rented TAN crowds thousands and even millions of naira to report news to favour the former ruling party for 16 years.

Although brown envelope has always been part of our journalistic tradition since the 80s, APC with their brand of politics elevated it to a national crisis in the last five years, the advent of social media and online journalism has also exacerbated the phenomenon. A situation where you can be anonymous and unreachable has emboldened many faceless online journalist who just dump any junk they fancy through their medium for the unsuspecting and highly impressionable consumers who gobble it down without sifting the lies
Last five years yet you blame APC?
