So I'm not crazy..... This is weird. I'm not even watching the game coz I got some engagements tonite.

Why do most of my hunches have to come true? Pleasant or unpleasant.

This is really weird........

Hope Sir Icon4s is happy now.......

Y should I be happy? I have nothing to prove. It is very glaring that Iheanacho is nt much of d Super Star status as u and ur allies tag him.

Experience talking again with an "I told you so" ring to it......

Anyway Let's move on.

TheSuperNerd:
I KNEW IT! ! ! IT WAS SO CLEAR................ I just knew you were someone with a lot of experience. I know when experience talks....... Exactly the reason for all this conservatism...... EXPERIENCE.

That's why I termed you "Baba" Icon once, a couple of pages back. Holy moses! You must have seen the 1979 fifa u-20 world cup Live!!!!!....... Simply awesome!!!!

Anyway, that's what experience can do. I don't have that yet. But what I do roll with is 'Knowledge' which have respect for no age or era.

You've always had my respects Sir and you still do.........In fact, You'll always have my respects despite our differing views. I love the way you see things sometimes....... Only sometimes *smiles*
It's just that we live in an age right now where experience alone does not guarantee relevance coz core knowledge (including knowledge gained from observing other's experiences and the likes) is super vital. So what we the younger generation may lack in experience, we certainly make up for it in Indepth knowledge through study, observation, empathy, and learning thru experiences of others or otherwise.

It is only the vastly experienced man or woman that would say "...........I have been around for too long to know that this will happen just this way. There's nothing new here. I've seen something similar before" THAT IS EXACTLY THE BANE OF EXPERIENCE.....

I'M NOT SAYING THAT THOSE WITH EXPERIENCE LACK KNOWLEDGE..... NO WAY!!!!
BUT THE KNOWLEDGE VIA EXPERIENCE CAN MAKE ONE CLOSE MINDED INSTEAD OF OPEN MINDED....

PEOPLE SAY KNOWLEDGE IS POWER AND EXPERIENCE THE BEST TEACHER.........THOSE ARE HALF-TRUTHS.

I BELIEVE THAT EXPERIENCE IS ONE OF THE TEACHERS BUT CERTAINLY NOT THE BEST. KNOWLEDGE GAINED FROM KEEN OBSERVATION, SMALL EXPERIENCES (WHICH THE WISE CAN TURN INTO IMPACTFUL MEANINGS FOR LIFE APPLICATIONS), AND CONTINUAL LEARNING IS A BETTER TEACHER. For me, as a Christian, the best teacher is the "HOLY SPIRIT" (Hey! I'm not preaching o)

AND I "STRONGLY" BELIEVE THAT KNOWLEDGE IS 'TRULY' POWER ONLY WHEN ONE KNOWS WHAT FACTS TO IGNORE.
Eg. Obodo, Oruma, Etim Esin, Aghahowa, Ikedia, Teslim Fatusi, Chrisantus, Lukman Haruna, Joel Obi, among a host of others are all "nigerian" talents that somewhat failed to hit the jackpot with respect to their potentials. Therefore Nacho may go the same way................... WRONG! THOSE ARE ALL FACTS BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE TO APPLY TO NACHO.

Well, Like you said, we all can't have the same views. But the truth remains truth even when nobody is right AND wrong is wrong even when everybody is wrong.

Sir Icon4s *salutes* It's been a real pleasure........

Godbless......*smiles*

Hmmm so u have so much knowledge of the game. Have u coached any professional football team. Ok any football team at all even if it is primary school team? undecided

Nah.... Don't worry about me dad..... I'm just fine aiiit.

So playing Nacho na experimentation? Na wa o!

Icon4s:

My friend take it easy and dnt hit ur head against the wall bc Iheanacho was nt dressed for the game. Pellegrini went for his tested and trusted players to start d game. No room for experiments. He brought in 3 teenagers after securing a 4-0 lead. Probably want to see other teenagers in his squad.

As i have always said, Kelechi Iheacho is not there yet. He is still work in progress.

Yes Pellegrini is still experimenting with d Kid. U saw how he brought in other 3 teenagers. He wants to identify future stars of Mancity and Kelechi belongs to dat category (future stars).

Yeah u rite about future stars. After all, in a class of many, one must always come first. Nacho is the crown jewel of the man city "future stars" class. Thank u.

And one more thing: i didn't watch the game coz I had engagements elsewhere.

u simply cant believe our Wizkid will nt b listed for a League cup game against Sunderland.

I said it that i wont be surprised if he didn't start this match
sometimes you make comments with the intention to provoke. I made that post because a Man City website stated he was injured. I didn't just come here to quote thegoodjoe, I'd already read it on twitter and came with the intention to let y'all know he was injured, he and Bony were listed as part of the injured players 'a slight knock' they tagged it. So relax before you pop champagne, Iheanacho isn't going down as quickly as would satisfy you. Lemme save whatever words I have for this your repulsive attitude.

no just mind sir icon. I've never seen a person who banks so heavily on another man's downfall just so he can gloat. It's immature, selfish and disturbing. I'm so pissed at that foolish comment he quoted me to post, if he followed up on those boys instead of waiting for others to post here, he wouldn't make uninformed comments....I swear, he has something against Kelechi and it's just Kelechi

wetin Pelle wan secure with Sunderland again? The boy is either sick or injured cuz he didn't even travel with em. Just unfortunate, but that's all there is to it. Nothing like Pelle wants to secure anything

The reason why I believe he rested them to give some reserve players a chance is because Aguero and Silva played the Juventus game despite them not being fit. Aguero also played the last game without being fit too.

I think he wanted to carry Barker and Roberts.

Bony and Nacho might be carrying slight knocks but I think Pellegrini believed his first team squad will see the game off early. Notice the goals came in the first half. He was sure he won't need Nacho.

Until our weekend game with Tottenham. Come on Citizens.

Please. Pellegrini does it the same way. He treats every tournament or league equally. That is why Man City have not had a lot of youngsters playing under him compared to Mancini.

Note, Nacho was the best player in the EDS/Junior teams. So it is not a case of trying Nacho and then trying others. He is giving players he believes needs games to develop a chance to shine. Unlike Nacho who came into two games we struggled.

It is a gradual process. Manchester City is a team of Superstars. He would not walk into the team especially when we play a 4-5-1 system in most matches this season. Nacho will get his chance because the squad is slim and the games to play are many. Then you can size him up.

I know your type. You feel professional experience in the game means superiority in knowledge. Sorry it is not true. If not, Guardiola who was a rookie in top flight football would not have given Sir Alex Ferguson a lesson in the art of possession football. Despite, Sir Alex superiority in the experience of coaching top flight football.

Man, with all due respect, you are joking. Among the players Pellegrini brought in, how many of them have played in the EPL this season.

With your experience in the game, you should tell that these guys and Nacho are of different categories.

Please stop waving the experience card because you could not even identify that Nacho's goal against Crystal Palace was not a rebound goal.
Baffling.

[b]Please do not vex. I know their type. I had the opportunities of being around this kind of people. They make it look that football experience is all that. For instance, I was with some footballers, some of them happened to be a sons of one of the former coaches of the Super Eagles, I will not go further to name them.

We were watching Honduras vs Nigeria in Sidney 2000.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H373UC1YzHE

I have not watched this video and I just took the link to show the incident is clear in my head since 2000.

Leon, A Honduras player (attacking midfielder, missed a penalty against Ronaldinho's Brazil in Nigeria '99.) scored a wonderful goal and these footballers said it was luck. Me and my brother asked, "how can you guys say that?" These guys did not want to agree with us. They said we should a accept their views because they have played football at top levels. Some of them played in Europe.

Trust me, I did not agree. I told them to watch the replay and watch Leon's foot. If he wanted to cross the ball from the wing, he would use his inside foot. If he wanted to score from there, he would most likely use the outside of the foot. That is how they kept quiet.

I hate that experience card. Give me the reason.

Please which class are you talking about? Which bitter truth is Icon saying? Make your point clear. We are waiting for Icon4s to give us his reasons and you are here saying bitter truth. If the form Bony is showing at City is the class you are talking I beg you, it is nothing to write home about. If Bony continues playing the way he is playing at City, he will lose his place in the first team, squad and Man City.

Please, Bony's first season was not amazing. 16 goals in 34 league games. In that season, a young Lukaku (then 19-20 years old) on loan from Chelsea scored 15 goals in 31 league games and did better than Bony.

"I think it is also important for our team because we had eight players injured for this game that we cannot use: Silva, Nasri, Delph, Zabaleta, Kompany, Mangala, Bony and Kelechi.

Honestly, nobody and I mean nobody is comparing Nacho with the greats. Messi is Nacho's no.1 role model and the man city coaches see messi as the standard for him. If you read through our comments carefully, you'll understand that, summarily, we are saying "Nacho is a class act, good enough to compete regularly in the Epl. At his age he's pure jewel though he's still growing as he isn't the finished article just yet. But at the rate he's going, he can only get better and stand a good chance of surpassing the greats and emerging the best of his generation......."

So pls tell me, where's the hype in that? Does it hurt to say the truth devoid of excessive conservatism?

Our words have always been taken out of context..... It's not fair. *smiles*

I don't even care what experience he thinks he has. To me, this is just a case of old men berating young men who are set to be greater than them. All the experience he has is from a television while Kelechi is participating live. He should just end his pettiness cuz it's pissing me off

Who said Iheanacho is a Superstar already. I for instance said Oliseh should not call him to the Super Eagles yet so he can continue his improvement. But, compared to Bony, come on. Give Nacho 34 games and he will score more than 16 goals.

Nacho played against a top Roma team with their stars on the pitch and he did well with an assist and a goal. So you guys stop making Nacho look like one learning to trap ball. If he was not a superb player, he can never be on the bench of Man City.

Why we want him training is because we believe he has the ability to reach the very top of the game. So when you guys say not there yet, what are you saying? Man City is a team of Super stars. Demeichelis a player for Argentina at the last World Cup is on the bench. Fernando a top player and a regular for Porto is on the bench.

So Nacho being a used Substitute in the last three EPL games in such a team shows he is a top talent.

He is a former footballer and a coach. I believe he is a person we know. I also think he is also a journalist.

I know he has something against Nacho. Something personal. Either way, Nacho will reach great heights. Higher than our legendary KANU Nwankwo who was once rated among the top ten footballers in the world.

Some think greatness is far but it is not to them that believe and work towards it.
