at first it is a very shocking story to hear from the architect, especially when it is confirmed by your wife/other proof. the next thing would be to find out from your wife her reason for doing such, if she claims it was for the good of the family, then i will have her sign over the property to me the husband, and then peace can reign, but if she says it is for her own personal use then there will be problem o.

but asking her to sign in your name might even cause more problems but they can both share ownership to te property if she agrees.

yes your right, the best initial bet would be for you both to share ownership. lets just hope she don't take the matter to court some months later cos if she is the one funding the whole building project and can provide evidence to that, she probably will win in court.

to me, I think there is a reason why she made it secret but not withstanding, she was suppose to have the whole idea shared with her husband, such home must av been built on lies, deceit and cheat. There is more to their story I must say

it might not necessarily be that the home was built on lies and deceit. although it might be possible but at the same time it might not be.
I once heard of a case, don't know if the story was fact or fiction, the story goes same way this one goes, but in that story when the husband found out, the wife told him it was meant as a surprise for him and the family, I really can't recall if he found out or she told him before he found out.

yeah some women are that way... and those women are not good wives.
well, in the story i mentioned, it was a surprise for the husband, same way your gf or wife would give you a gift for your birthday or something. it's no biggie for a woman to give a man(her husband) the gift of a house if she can afford it, after all the money some people use in buying a brand new car can as well be used to build a house(it all depends on the level/type of house though).

I have seen a lot of it happened. The last one I saw was a man I know. He gave the wife a huge amount of money to start a business. At a point his own business started failing till he have nothing to his name. Their rent expired and they were evicted. His wife told him that her younger brother in the UK has a new mansion he built somewhere in ABA. they relocated to the place pending when the mans business will revive. The man now jobless was at home one day when one of the contractor that built the house came visiting bkx the woman's phone wasn't available. That was how the husband got to know who the true owner of the house is. He is a gentleman who have no time to shout or to lay a finger on a woman, he simple asked the woman y she did that. Of course she has no explanation and the man went and rent a house where her wife visits her to perform her night duty. Thank God the man is living big now. What I don't know is if they are living together in one house now that his business has revive.
