Me too...Gotta pack now, I'm heading north. I miss miyan, Keri Kashi, dankali, authentic Kunu made with sweet potato, ginger etc, zogoli, masa with yaji or miyan, goose goose, dawadawa soup, kwaruru the mighty eye bean...ummm Sai wata rana. My memories of the north: chilling under the dongo yaro tree with my parents shelling and eating jada. Cetona: |

armyofone:Chai! Now you make me wanna go back, just for a day . I remember when I first came here and saw some lady hawking what I thought was 'kunun zaki' I was so happy and I decided to buy, that was my first worst decision ever. Bought it, feeling happy and couldn't wait to get to my room and have a drink. I was so disappointed and angry when I tasted it, alas! it was pap , they just made it watery, I almost cursed my friend who convinced me to get it, lol. Luckily, I have tasted masa once here, a friend got it for me. I can't wait to go back to the north I swear, missing lots of delicacies. If only, I can get kunun shinkafa now 1 Like |
