pharmacy school is just quite tasking.from the almighty cognosy to the the endless boring pharmchem.heaven know I only enjoy clinical pharmacy.I just think cognosy should be scrapped.all my lecturers are saddist they scrutinise everything u write over here.buh at the end of it all it is worth it.pass through pharmacy school and u can make it anywhre.*I have seen it all*

Hello All. I'm new on this thread, but why do I feel shy # covering eyes#. As men of honor, we join hands. I wouldn't want to say my name here on nairaland. Pardon me for that. I graduated from Unijos in 2011. Life as a pharmacist has been fun and encouraging. I love what I do.
My best course was Pharmaceutics. It was just so real and interesting. I didn't like Pharm Chem, but I later fell in love with the aspect of Medicinal chemistry.

Cognosy can not be scrapped. It's what most of my seniors in school said then. That made me not to concentrate much on it thinking it was a waste of youthful time. I now practice as a community pharmacist who is into integrative pharmacy. I discovered majority of what I come across now in herbal remedies were taught in Cognosy. Now I have to read extra hard to remember the things I was taught but ignored and I try to update my knowledge on new trends. I really just think they could make the course much more interesting and the lecturers should be enthusiastic about it.

Unijos Cognosy lecturers are sadists. How were you able to pass Cognosy successfully? Been a real problem for me.

Those of us who step in the field of clinical pharmacy, with the vision of saving lives, doing therapeutic drug monitoring, monitoring patients lab report, preventing an adverse drug reaction, working in poison control centers etc very soon start realizing that not only doing your duty is difficult but is also impossible!! Questions will be raised as to why are you doing this? On whose authority have you been allowed to do this? Where is it written that you are even allowed to do this??

you must have good working experience And forward your CV to interested companies ... You must have something to offer them, maybe a new product to induce the growth of the company, some pharm industries only employ people that can offer them something. So, i will exhort you to be more creative if you wanna go into industrial pharmacy ..
