ok my name is kazeem and i can afford a 300k scanner grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin.

have a nice day again sir

chukel:
u will definitely mess up people's cars. U think u can just lift pending from dictionary an implant in car diagnosis. Do u kn that if a problem is solved and u don't wipe that code and the cycle for the car to recognize the error is no longer there is not yet completed, the code becomes pending? U should ask urself pending what? U think a code jumps out in lieu of a problem that is yet to materialize? This is what is obtainable when a kazeem handles a scanner. Just retract that ignorant line. Indeed, ur scanner has prophetic and predictive tendencies.

Those asking chucky to send the op 50k are not being honest.

The op destroyed someone's name and reputation and all you lot can do is ask he still gets the said 50k...

What happens to the sellers reputation after it...already some posters here have all said they won't deal with the seller again...thats massive collateral damage fo him...you lots are not being sincere walahi.

Both OP and seller should go and lick their respective wounds....they all made losses.

Chucky234, my advice to you is to send that guy the 50k as he requested. This may cost you the money but it would stand as a testimony for you and others (including Oseri) who might end up doing business with you or referring someone else to you. Mind you, I've neither met you nor Oseri. I've only had a chat with you too on whatsapp and I almost bought a benz from you. It was Oseri who referred me to this thread to follow and decide whether to do business with you or not. Before now, there's a whatsapp group (of which Oseri was added to recently) that has been speaking well of you. Oseri is not aware of this and he referred me to this thread privately.
My advice to Chucky234:
If you can't give him the 50k as he demands, just give him something. At least just to clear your name.

Remember:
Proverbs 22:1 A GOOD name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
Thanks Phila, you have spoken well.

Just to give my honest opinion. I am not judging here.

@Car seller Chucky234 you did not do well by not listing all faults with the said car in your sale advert, while being fully aware of same (not to mention your arrogant responses in the amidst the accusation. )

I bought a Nigerian used baby boy 01 model for myself without inspection and even though the issue i was told was not the actual problem with the car, it was fair enough that i was notified of such major issue (Not bought from nairaland). The car jerks badly while shifting the gear (Auto tranny) and the mechanic who diagnosed for the seller said it was the engine sitting. I sent money to fix that before having the car delivered to me.

Unfortunately it was still jerking when i got the car delivered to me and i was told after my complaint that the jerks were worse than i experienced it. Not long afterwards, the tranny started to stall and i managed to drive it like a manual (having to shift between d1-d3 as required by my speed) and eventually the tranny packed up. I ended up buying a new tranny. Only after two weeks of driving, the stalling started on the new tokunbo tranny and my new mechanic was able to discover that the tranny was actually having electrical issues with some of the switches, which was eventually transferred from the old tranny. i got that fixed and i have been enjoying the car ever since. Also fixed all the loosed bushings at the rear and changed the stabilizer links on all 4 legs.

The reason i am mentioning all these is the fact that if the seller had told me of all these, i would not proceed to buy. It is better for me to make a buying decision knowing that the car has no issues and the price reflects that as well. Eventually i will sell off this car when i am ready to buy another one, and i know fully well that i will list out any outstanding issues with it (if any) at the point of selling. It is better to negotiate price based on the known issues than to conceal same and then come back with having issues with the buyer.

these are all minor issues, i know they cud be annoying as hell, but this is a naija used car........it cant be in pristine condition.
stick to the major issues, such as the brakes/abs n transmiison..................listing these other minor issues make u appear childish/unserious.
even if you were not able to come for inspection or send some1...at least you shud hv asked for pics.......

many of us hv sold naija used cars, n its just not every singleissue/fault 1 can remember or state at the point of sale....but at least the serious issues shud b stated upfront....

With all the threads flying all over this forum about people being scammed,I find it utterly ridiculous that someone like this OP could still send money to anyone in this country without seeing what you want to buy physically!?
The mind just boogles......
Let us even step out of cyberspace and come back to the real world...I personally can never give a dime to any seller except I physically inspect what I am buying or I take a professional along to give me a second opinion. I guess I am old fashioned but I am stuck on my ways.

Don't you guys ever get tired of scam related issues on this section? This section is now almost a joke. For the umpteenth time,I'd say it again;the process of buying a car is for you to inspect before paying. If you can't,get someone to do the inspection for you. That being said, cars are also quite crazy and could make you look like a dishonest person sometimes cos you can never tell when they'd develop faults that they never had before. Just recently,a colleague of mine sold a very clean 2007 tokunbo highlander that was inspected and test driven by the reps of the buyer. After payment and all, transmission developed fault in less than 48hrs and they came back to make trouble. He pleaded with them and ended up getting them a new gearbox and fixed the ride for them.

From what I've seen here,I don't know who to blame(although I'm being tempted to blame the seller). As a car dealer, being honest with issues, will do you more good than harm. The reward might not translate to monetary gains immediately but there is what they call "reputation and image",which money cannot necessarily buy. A good image and reputation is worth over a zillion pounds. That's what I live by,and would suggest to any business person. Diezianni Madueke stole billions(as alleged) and today, the whole world is making jest of her. I don't think she can confidently walk in public to spend that money right now. This should teach us all one thing;money isn't everything. If I was the seller of the car,I'd rather pay the 50k than allow someone open this type of thread on my name. I've paid much more than that to clear my name on nairaland here(on a clearing job that almost turned sour).

th[s]e last time we talked I made it clear that I wasn't going to send any money to you, other than to send my lawyer down to pick the car in person, you said you don't want my lawyer to get involved.
I personally told you that I was returning your 570k but you kept insisting on me sending you 50k,now you think you can bring me down.
You're a big joke, the battle line has been drawn and the people ranting here will hear the outcome when I'm done with you.

OCTAVO:

By involving your Lawyer and making him go to PH in person, you will incur more cost than the 50k the OP is requesting for. Why not just settle the OP with just 50k and let this case slide. One thing you need to realise is that the Op couldn't have just formulated these faults the car is having. Also bear in mind that the car could have developed more faults than you knew in the process of driving down from Lagos to PH. I will advise you to handle this case with maturity. If 50k is what it takes to redeem your public image, pay the price bro. Your Lawyer will never be there to help you restore your lost business integrity after the damage is done. Think twice!
Beautiful!!!

There is nothing bad preordering vehicle from an unknown dealer so far d person if faithful/trusted. Someone might be too busy following up processes or tracking a dealer who was supposed to do his job accurately, But somehow trust do result to scam, fraud and looting claiming to be wise over a client who has toiled to released his hard earned money to purchase goods only to endup beeing scam or fraud. My advise is chucky234 should reach to an agreement of reimbursing purchasers request of N50k to enable repairs or return his money n take back his car. Being that He
chucky234 is aware of all faults he is accused of, since he claimed d car in question is his personal car. He should do d needful

Yes at this modern age in developed countries, pre ordering is what makes the economy going, modern age pre ordering or buying something without seeing the opposite face is something normal. just Nigerians are scammers but am still saying it,, there are reliable dealers here.. imagine Op wants to buy MB 2002 model for 730K, is that not greed, that's why they always fall victims. we all want cheap stuffs..
just imagine the trash u just posted up there. Is open market no longer about buying and selling at an agreed price?what has greed to do with agreed price. The issue at hand is about dishonesty in buisness aka 419. I bought a naija used EOD here in nairaland last year. i paid in full without seeing the seller(not recommended though because of people like u). I only got all the info i needed including the specific state of the car, faults and all. i got d car and it was jst as it was said to b. still driving d car today. Is this not how buisness is done in developed countries? Must ours be warped? why was chucks not picking calls at a point(signs of dishonesty). I get pissed at our mentality sometimes.

The scammer chuky...(whatever his moniker is), has a lot of 'friends' here who have seen no fault in what he did, putting up defense in a subtle manner. The seller deliberately concealed vital information about the car he sold...and that is FRAUD. Chuky needs to be arrested for tossing false information to the Public.
All you who have commented supporting the seller directly or indirectly lack integrity. The Op made some mistakes, but appeals have been thrown at the seller to make partial refund but his arrogance and conceited nature would not permit him and he keeps typing thrash.
For defrauding someone, likewise you will receive in compound folds.
why did you not show the pictures 'as is' instead of putting up images of the car when it was still in good shape?
Op, if you do not get back your funds, relax and accept it as your loss...

Oga, if ever u lost 800k to these scam artists, the least u can do is to add your voice in condeming all unethical buisness practices and not to say d OP made mistakes. when u buy things online(ebay, etc) dont u pay b4 delivery?
