He did not want to leave and was ready to fight dirty and this started with the Orubebe show of shame while results were being announced. Believe what you want anyway. You never do reality. ABUJA—Hard times await perpetrators of violence before, during and after the recent governorship elections in Rivers State as the President-elect, [size=14pt]General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) said he will not “forgive or forget” their evil acts.[/size]

Buhari spoke, yesterday, when the state chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, paid him a congratulatory visit in Abuja.
Buhari, who said he owed the people a duty to ensure justice in the land, also assured that every Nigerian deserved respect and dignity.

He said: “We will confront them with facts and figures. We will not forgive and we will not forget those who perpetrated killings and arson in Rivers State during the elections. At least this is the much we owe Nigerians.”

2015 elections: Obama, Cameron forced Jonathan to concede to Buhari

President Goodluck Jonathan surprised the nation with his popular telephone call with which he conceded defeat well ahead of the conclusion of collation of results of the 28th March ballot. What the nation did not realise is that Jonathan was actually boxed into a corner with threats and international pressures.

Our diplomatic sources disclosed that “both President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron repeatedly called President Jonathan to concede defeat before the official announcement (of the poll results) because they had reports that his opponent had already won,” the source, who claimed to have been privy to the phone calls said.

For instance, “when Godsday Orubebe was demonstrating his madness in the international collation centre, one of the leaders was forced to pull a call to President Jonathan to “call off that idiot from that stage.”


With only one state, Borno left and no matter the direction cannot change the result, the two leaders one after the other called Jonathan and demanded he must call the winner (Buhari) now as that is the minimum expected of him.

As if to give credence to the claim, President-elect Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had in his victory speech given “special thanks” to U.S. President Barak Obama for his “timely intervention” for peaceful and credible elections in Africa’s most populous country.

Jonathan had called Buhari to congratulate him at exactly 5:15 p.m. The phone call took place almost ten hours before the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared Buhari the winner with a total of 15,424,921 votes against 12,853,162 for Jonathan.

“Both men told him it would be far too costly – for Nigeria, Africa and Jonathan himself – to play another Laurent Gbagbo,” the diplomatic source disclosed.

In 2010, Gbagbo rejected the results of presidential polls in Cote d’ivoire after the election commission declared his rival, Alassane Ouattara, the winner.

The move led to a political crisis in the West African country and more than 3,000 people were killed in the ensuing violence, according to UN data.

Gbagbo’s arrest in April 2011 finally ended the bloody, four-month-long conflict.

“President Jonathan honourably agreed to save the country any further bloodshed,” the source said.

Dont mention underaged voters because percentage of kids below 18 but old enough to vote is insignificant.

Despite all the irregularities in the north , despite the fact that all Nigerians know that overwhelming support for APC stops at kogi state (including you northerners and Yorubas)

The Election tribunal cancelled election in states like Rivers and Akwa-ibom where APC has little or no support and upheld elections in every part of the north, they also cancelled in Taraba(PDP) and some tribally and politically blind people see nothing wrong.

The only way APC can win in Rivers state is thru massive rigging and bribery. After-all during the governorship election APC was offering 2k to any one that votes them and they still lost. They better increase it to 5k unless they will loose again.

I have always said that critiquing your leadership is the highest form of Patriotism. I am a big critic of our Mayor here in Chicago and it's for a just reason. I was a big supporter of Jonathan but turned against him whenever I visit Nigeria and see the way the country was being run. I was arrested with bunch of other guys protesting in front on the Nigeria's consulate in New York in the dying days of YarAdua when the Northern cabals were trying to frustrate Jonathan from becoming the President. He lost me when the country went down the drain. I will give Buhari a chance of at least 2 years and if things don't improve, I will take my gloves off like most fair minded Nigerians will. I just want the country to step up the plate and become viable economically. An Eldorado doesn't need to be looked at as a Junk.
